Bavarian Potato Salad
Potato Pancakes Kartoffelpuffer
Crisp and golden brown potato pancakes served with apple sauce and sour cream
Pork was overcooked and dry, noodles were luke warm. Beer was good! Sides and apps were fantastic and the server was amazing
Always a fun time. Lively loud energetic place.
I love Hofbrauhaus. I go to the one in Chicago annually and this is my 2nd time to the one in Buffalo. The music was great and our server was superb. My food was lukewarm, though. Will definitely give it another try though.
Hofbrauhaus was a pleasant surprise for us......staff were friendly, food was good and the ambience was wonderful. The band was a lot of fun as was watching the audience participation. It was loud and raucous but it was Ocktoberfest........normally we hate a loud restaurant but the beer garden atmosphere was vibrant and enjoyable.
Food was exceptionally poor quality, and way over priced. We had a group of seven, every single person commented about how lousy the food was. Don’t waste your money, just go for a beer and a pretzel.
Awesome as always.
Beer and music were great. The food had the potential to be very good, however, it was served warm not hot. We could tell it was prepared earlier and had been sitting being warmed.
my potato pancakes were not homemade so the price was too high and the applesauce was not enough and they wanted to charge me $6.00 for a little bowl of applesauce and was not happy. our waitress Allie is so nice and what a pleasant young lady but your price is too high for boxed potato pancakes and wow small bowl of applesaurce $6.00 you have to be kidding. thank you and not sure when and if we will be back very disappointed on boxed potato pancakes
Great place to have a get together. Pretzels were great and the beer cold. Live entertainment was fun. I will definitely be back.
German food was of good quality. Loved the potato pancakes..very crisp and flavorful. Loved the sausage plate. The sauerkraut had a hint of mint and sugar..nice, addictive. Loved the pork schnitzel with spaetzl.. too much to eat. We took our leftovers home along with a nice slice of blackforest cake. The meal was a little pricey but well worth it. Totally satisfied.
Jenn, the waitress was attentive and very friendly. The building seems new and lots of attention to detail. Sports on TV screens and live music. We were there early on a Sunday. Can imagine the place rocks for Bills games or after the Sabres.
Loads of fun, great atmosphere, fun German band and good beer.
Great Time , Great Atmosphere, Service good considering crowd. No fault of resturant . German Band was great there sound needed to be amplified.
We did not have dinner: just drinks and pretzels. So much fun singing and enjoying the live music. A great place to go with a group of people
Had the pork schweinbraten, excellent. Like mom used to make. Strudel was terrific. Glad to have potato dumplings almost as good as mine. Loved the gravy. Would like to know if there was vinegar in it.
We had a great experience, food and atmosphere were great. The only thing we agreed on could’ve made it better is that in the 3 hours we were there we only saw our waitress maybe 4 times, and she never came back to check on if our friend that was pregnant and couldn’t drink needed a refill on her lemonade. Also, we wish they labeled what was on the charcuterie board or had it on the menu, because it was just a ton of random meats that we didn’t know what we were eating. Overall it was a great experience and the food was the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time!
It was too loud and the food was cold. We loved the Geman music/band but they need to play german music when the band is on break. All music should be traditional music: not Neil Diamond or Journey. Service was good.
Nice gift shop.
Atmosphere and beer were great. Food was good but I was disappointed in the Currywurst. They use the wrong type of sausage. They use a more traditional sausage and not the hit dog style that you would get in Germany. To quantify my review, I've lived in Germany for six years, and my wife is German (born and raised). Don't misunderstand me, I'll be back..
We went with a group of people and it was a great time!! High energy and lots of fun. The severs were amazing and did an amazing job.
Awesome food & great atmosphere! Will definitely go back for another liter!
Too loud to talk with your dinner table mates
But awesome people watching
Dinner was good but could have been hotter. Danielle was a great server. It's Ocktoberfest so noise level made any conversation difficult. We did enjoy the Frankfurters Band. Apple strudel was delicious.
It was great to celebrate Oktoberfest with traditional German music! We did have to ask to have our initial table moved as we were seated directly under an air conditioning vent and it was very cold.
We had a great time! Thank you!!
Arrived for our reservation in the pouring rain, seated quickly and had beers and a giant pretzel delivered soon after sitting down. Ordered off the new full menu as the crowds filtered in for the live music. An hour after walking in the place was packed and hopping!
Great experience. Friendly service.
Great food for an ok price (not cheap).
Would definitely go again.
it was a real good time. enjoy the atmosphere and octoberfest music. had already eaten dinner but noticed the menu was much expanded from our last visit which is a good change. food pretty poor our first visits
The music was extremely loud, so much so that you could not converse with your friends at the table. I want to enjoy the music but NOT at the sacrifice of enjoying my friends. I would not recommend this restaurant in spite of the good food, ambiance and , service.
I am also concerned about the ear protection for the workers. the number of decibels has to be above limits.
I realize it is October fest but it was not enjoyable for me and my guest.
Had such a fun night out at Hofbrauhaus! True authentic German atmosphere and food...and did I mention the Beer?? The band was lively and fun and had the whole house signing and cheering along. Can't wait to go back!
Made a quick stop before a Sabres game. Good food, better beer and a cool setting. Lots going on and some live German music for Octoberfest.
The facilities and the beer were very good. The food quality and presentation were also very good. One member of our party did not care for what they ordered, but that wasn't a reflection on the quality.
we were surprised to see how large the restaurant was. the patio was very nice. beer garden was good. the German music was very good inside and outside. Two very long spacious bars. good beer and food selection. the German sauerkraut was the best! The prices were very reasonable. waitress was very friendly and gave good suggestions. nice gift shop. not too crowded for a Tuesday. comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the $5 fee to park. fortunately we found free street parking. that may not be possible on the weekend. we would definitely go there again to try some of the other dishes.
Food beer were delicious
Service very good
We had a good time
Would have loved to know that Monday’s is Country Night for the band.
This place is like Epcot in downtown Buffalo. Very cool experience.
Ordered the potato pancakes and they were okay. While crispy, they reminded me of hash brown patties with a "hint" of onion. The Oktoberfest Festbier was excellent!
Very great service great place to watch the gMe
Great atmosphere and pretty good food. Game day specials for beer and pretzels was perfecto.
Our group of six friends had an awesome time! Our waitress was outstanding and the inter action with the band and everyone dining was so much fun! Can not wait to go again!!
Great food and great fun! We will definitely return.
everything was great except we were at the first table by the door and it was freezing as the vent was blowing right over our table. We were so cold and they wouldn’t let us switch tables when one opened up. Service and atmosphere was great though
Amazing food. Felt like you were at Oktoberfest. A little disappointed we had to sit upstairs because you couldn’t see the band.
