    Absolutely delicious food and the ‘feed me’ menu is good value. Music extremely loud which may suit some diners but not us (we’re not old!)

    We got moved inside which was good after booking an outside table. Food was ok without being great, perhaps a bit heavy. Service was just ok, our order got forgotten then had to be altered as it was misunderstood.

    Birthday dinner with family. We had the banquet. Food brought out so quickly and when we asked the waitress to slow it down, she acted as if such a big inconvenience. Plates weren’t cleared and the food wasn’t as good as it had been in the past.wouldn’t return unfortunately.

    The food was good particularly the crispy pork bao, but nothing stand-out. The coconut rice was...interesting - it was almost mistaken for a pudding. We went for the Feed Me Now which depending on the items you order, might not save you all that much if at all considering that some of the larger options attract an additional cost.

    While I’m usually a big fan of the feed me at Hochi mama, this week was a bit of a letdown. Let me preface this by saying it was a public holiday and I’m sure the staff did their best, but the service was slow and kind of lacklustre. They had run out of the pork hock so I was already a little salty, but the sodium overload in the tuna tartare and the stringiness of the beef ribs got me even saltier. I’ll definitely give them another shot because I’ve usually had a great experience at HM, but I hope this experience wasn’t indicative of slipping standards.

    Unfortunately, the only downside was that we were sat near a table that was full and celebrating an event and we just wanted some less noise to be able to have a discussion with our overseas friends. Otherwise the food was fab.

    Great food, great service but it was a shame that we were clearly rushed so they could have the table for another booking. The staff did tell us they needed the table back by 8.45pm but we were done by 8pm because everything was so fast. If we wanted a quick experience we’d have gone to Maccas! We weren’t offered desserts either & for parents who don’t get dinners out often it was really disappointing to have ended our night so quickly.

    When we arrived at Hochi Mama we were 10 min late to our 6:00pm sitting which was understandable. So we were told we had to be out at 7:10pm. Then, we had troubles with ordering as I had asked about not having onion and garlic in my meal as I am extremely intolerant. The lady who served us was able to assist us well, however, the garlic free menu was very limited and boring. Not much to choose from. I am not a huge fan of pork and that was the only meat option. The lady who served said we could only order from this menu and I was concerned as things should be made fresh so why couldn't you use no garlic in other meals? Anyway, then our food was running late considering the miscommunication and we had to rush as we were told we had to be out at 7:10 and we received our food at 6:50. This was quite poor as we sat down at 6:00pm. So a whole 50 min no food and we only received 1 entree in this time. Not the lady who served us fault, she was great. Just poor on the chefs. I would appreciate some more meat options on the garlic free menu. However, food was nice.

    Enjoyed a lunch meal with colleagues - and was amazed at their “feed me” menu. Highly recommend the cashew stir fry & beef ribs. Keen to return and try more of the menu!

    The food was very good as always but we felt really quite rushed by the 1.5 hour sitting period. Not the fault of staff as I'm sure it's a restaurant policy (and it's awkward for them to have to implement it!), but we enjoyed the meal less because we were being rushed through, even having to finish our drinks while paying. If you have to have a set time period, increasing it to two hours would be better.

    Food is amazing. Presentation is incredible. The attention to detail. We were a bit surprised with the coconut rice. The coconut cream/milk wasn’t incorporated into the dish, it was poured over the top. Not a fan. Will just stick to steamed rice next time. No big deal, as everything else was great.

    We were in from the US and advised to dine here. We were only able to get a table outdoors (our fault for not planning earlier). It was a very windy evening... We ordered the "Feed Me Now" option and had Trio of Scallops/Fried Dumplings for "smaller" and Pad Thai Prawn and SouthSide Chicken Curry for "larger". Scallops were to die for! Perfectly cooked and seasoned expertly. Portions are small but perfect for tasty bites. Dumplings had an amazing crispness and the dipping sauce was flavorful. Larger plates arrived soon after and both were excellent. Really good flavor on the curry. Good spice without being overly hot. We're not fans of slimy chicken skin so small deductions there...I LOVE skin if it's crispy but in this application it isn't possible (lots of sauce)...just remove it before cooking or serving. Pad Thai was really good. Everyone makes it a little different around the globe. We really enjoyed it. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Overall a nice experience. Would recommend to anyone, local or traveling in from elsewhere.
