Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.

This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is known for a cocktail, feast or an intimate date night.

first off, the staff here and genuinely so lovely! answered any questions we had and were quick to clear empty plates. the place was fully packed and we did feel a bit sandwiched between other diners. the food did come quite quickly, but to be honest i’ve had better thai food at my local joints, especially with the pad thai, however the satay chicken and mekong chicken were delicious. not sure i’d come back but definitely something to experience in melbourne.

We had an amazing time at Hochi Muma. The food was next level. Our waitress Mariah was a true gem. She explained our food choices, guiding us to try a couple of dishes. Book early as ours was last minute and we could only get an outside table. Brilliant experience.

Amazing food, efficient ((but didn’t feel rushed) & friendly service. Fab decor. Music a tad too loud if you’re wanting a chat but otherwise an excellent dining experience

Food was great but got kicked out 1 hour and 5 mins into our booking, as soon as we said we didn’t want dessert even though we still had some of our cocktails Pretty disappointed
