   Fabulous meal and service at hochi mama. One of the best I have had in Melbourne. Highly recommend

   Food was great but got kicked out 1 hour and 5 mins into our booking, as soon as we said we didn’t want dessert even though we still had some of our cocktails Pretty disappointed

   We have dined at Hochi Mama many times over the years, and while the quality has remained consistently high, same cannot be said amount the quantity or portion size. We generally have always ordered the same dishes and have noted the increasingly smaller portion sizes for all dishes we order regularly. It’s very disappointing.

   Delicious food with so much flavour. Loved sharing between 4 of us to sample lots of choices. Felt a little rushed for next sitting at 815 pm on a Saturday night and pretty noisy for old 60 year olds Will be back

   Hochi Mama is an absolute winner! This place is sure to be on high rotation in our list of dine out venues. The ‘feed me’ menu is incredible value and so generous in portions - trust me you won’t be able to finish all the dishes! The flavour of all the food is mouth-watering delicious- but you simply must try the lamb massaman curry! Service is fun, attentive and efficient.

   Not one to say to this over review but our experience was honestly so so bad. The service was fine, waiter was nice. We did the standard feed me menu. Starters were average, came out in 3 mins which tells me everything in batched cooked and reheated. The main were honestly disgusting. Ordered the cashew chicken stir fry - the chicken was grey and tasted like it was gone off or expired. The second main was the Mekong chicken, fried and greasy, the sauce was nice but the chicken itself again was really really bad quality and tasted a similar expired or gone off taste. We aren’t ones to complain but the manager asked why was our food okay presumably as it was uneaten. We told her the issue and in fairness she knocked the cocktail and beer off the bill which we appreciated. Staff were nice but we won’t be returning unfortunately, whatever is going on with the chicken in the kitchen.

   I’ve been here a couple of times and I only come for the food. The service could be improved. On my most recent visit we were five then wrong food twice and basically ignored once we had ordered or food. We had to keep grabbing staff to order drinks. we were only given 5 mins notice that we needed to leave our table when we were still half way through our main that we only got 10 mins earlier. Maybe extending the seating time to 2 hours instead of 90 mins would be helpful especially when there is a wait on food.
