HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern - Midtown
A friend & I chose Hob Nob for Sunday brunch, arriving about 12:30. Our server was pleasant but became less attentive as the restaurant got busier. She did not notice that we had no spoons to stir our coffees. The French toast was very dry and unflavorable. The Hangover Breakfast was not memorable. We will not revisit.
Great place for brunch! Amazing food and plus it comes out pretty quickly! Waitress was super nice! Only downside is the seating. Unless you’re sitting outside you’re pretty much squished by other parties.
My friends and I were visiting from Houston and we loved the food and the atmosphere. It will become a regular stop on our list when we are in Atlanta.
Madalyn was our waitress and she was FABULOUS! She was so attentive and pleasant.
Service was horrible. Waiter decided to sit down and eat her dinner while we waited for our food that was ready. Food came out cold. My “well done” burger came out bleeding. And waiter was rude, sarcastic and acted as if we were bothering her when ever we had a question. I won’t be returning..... 18% Gratuity was added to check and several charges were added to check that were not clarified before hand.
Had a fabulous time at Hobnob. Food was great and wait staff excellent!
We went for brunch and loved it!
Great mimosa, food not so much the only thing hot was my grits and those had enough water in them I could have hydrated jerky.
We have visited this establishment a couple of times for brunch. The service is always its always impeccable. The food is good, with the exception if the chicken and waffles which were a little dry. The highlight of our visits are the bottomless mimosas. We will be back
The waffles were extremely dry, bacon undercooked. Drinks are much better than the food
The Wake and Bake Pizza was amazing!!! Three eggs on top made it delicious for a brunch meal! The Tiramisu French toast so good. The cucumber Bloody Mary delicious ! Service was friendly. Atmosphere laid back cool vibe. Great for groups and kids.
I was looking for a quick dinner for the all adult family before heading to the Holiday Lights at the ABG, which is just around the corner; HobNob fit the bill. All enjoyed their choice of brew or wine, and our server was super friendly and fun. The food was excellent; everyone enjoyed their meal. I can recommend the BLT salad and loaded baked potato. I ordered the beer cheese on the side, but went ahead and poured it all on; it was just that good.
We were going to the Botanical Gardens for the Christmas light show on Christmas Eve and fell into HobKnob online. They had seating available so we went for it. Great atmosphere, great staff and the food was wonderful. A ways from Cumming but we'll be back-even without another reason!
Staff was friendly and the food was good--pretty standard, suit-everyone brunch fare. There are bottomless mimosas, if that's your thing. There was also great live music.
The food, service, and alcohol was excellent!
I had a great birthday outing with my friends. Bottomless mimosas that kept coming soon my glass would get low. And the million dollar omelet with season potatoes was great as well
Second visit and enjoyed it thoroughly. Variety of dishes ordered and all were excellent. I enjoyed the cauliflower entree dish (picture attached). Excellent service. We plan to make this a regular stop when heading downtown.
Normally I don’t give negative reviews but this was disappointing. Had sausage gravy biscuits and steak and eggs, both meals were between room temp and cold. We asked the gravy biscuits be heated up and and another plate come back quickly and not much better but we didn’t complain again and I didn’t send the steak back. Saw other meals going back well. To make it harder to enjoy the patio is covered with heavy plastic but it was not tied down so our feet were freezing. Our server was pleasant and the hostess came around to check on us, but the experience couldn’t be repaired so we just ate what we could and left. I’d like to give it another try... maybe in the summer 😐
Good drinks, and I've enjoyed the patio a time or two; however, the food has been hit or miss unfortunately. I got a pizza the last time I went, and it was incredibly dry, the tomatoes had a sour flavor. I did enjoy the dip we had though.
Our server was great, but the food was a bit overcooked. I loved the vibe of the place great drinks fun games and live music.
Marcus was such a great server we had unexpected extra guests and he accomidated us amazingly! This is our new Sunday spot.
In the past the food has been much better. I’m not sure who the bartender was this week but the mimosas tasted like all OJ and nothing more. If your gonna do bottomless mimosas make sure it’s worth it. Or if you need to charge more to actually have the champagne with the OJ I would prefer that.
Great service! Food tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend the 3 cheese Mac n cheese
Met some friends there before an event at the botanical gardens. Great location easy access to Piedmont Park in the Botanical Gardens. Eclectic mix of all kinds of food. Great service
Food was good, but the BLT salad had no bacon and was a major disappointment. Loved the BBQ spring rolls and hand cut fries. While sitting outside on the patio was nice from a temperature and view standpoint, it was very noisy due to the cars. Parking attendant was awesome!!!!
Oh such fun
Loved the music and vibe. Food was just ok and service was slow in the beginning but soon picked up. However the live music really made it all better
We have been here several times. I've never had the best service here, but the proximity to Piedmont and the food have made us return. It took us half an hour to be greeted and brought water to the table. Our server appeared to be in the weeds, which I try to be understanding, but this was some of the worst service I have had in a while. We had bottomless mimosas and it took him forever to refill them. Our food came out and my eggs were completely cold and I was missing part of my meal along with 2 others at our table. He took a while to come and check in on us and we told him what we were missing. Once we finally had all of our correct orders he had another table sat in his section and he was actually sitting at the table with them looking at photos on his phone, etc. Just the worst service I can imagine. Not sure we will be back after this.
So, at least the food was ok. Made a reservation on open table. When I made the reservation it asked if we wanted to be seated outside or at a high top. I chose high top because we wanted to watch football. When we got there we were seated outside. After a lot of discussion we were finally seated at a different table, still outside but near some TVs. The TVs were playing highlights and we weren't able to get an actual game on until we were nearly done with our food.
The singer on the patio, James Patrick Morgan was literally the best part of our experience. He was great. Our waitress wasn't able to answer any of the questions we had about the menu or the bar. She gave us a half hearted apology before we left but aside from the overall seating drama, she wasn't terribly helpful throughout our experience. My husband really liked his wings. My breakfast tacos were cold. I had us come here because I had a good experience at the Town Brookhaven location but we won't be back to this one.
Wow! Very impressed! I would have to say it was ordinary food done EXTRAORDINARILY well! The food was fresh, delicious and we left feeling perfectly satisfied. I wish it was later in the day and I may have tried some bourbon.
Went to have brunch with friends. They had my table ready upon arrival which was great, but after that it was just "meh" at best. Unfortunately our waiter was not very attentive and would not come back to the table unless one of us stood up and flagged him down. He most likely never entered my friends entire order and my other friends' additional side of sausage. The food was so-so, and the mimosas were pretty crappy which is to be expected with unlimited mimosa deals. To their credit they did work with us on the bill and everyone was super nice about it, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place to friends. The MAJOR saving grace however, was the guy playing live music. He is a legend and deserves much better than this restaurant.
Love love HobNob Midtown
Great atmoshpere for a cold drink and some food, along with live music !
Delightful experience from beginning to end! We arrived at 6:45 on a Thursday evening & had no trouble finding seating (options for indoor or out). It did fill up as the evening went on. The wait staff were courteous, quick and friendly and offered guidance/opinion on various selections. It's an extensive menu with many options (including gluten free) and drinks as well, beer(many), wine, & craft cocktails-- we enjoyed a peach moscow mule for a warm August evening. We started with the crab dip...and could have been completely happy making this our meal! It was bubbling hot and arrived on the table in it's own little cast iron crock. It was loaded with crab meat and was delicious. For dinner we shared a few pieces of a gluten free chicken, bacon, ranch pizza and an order of shrimp and grits with andouille sausage neither of which we could make a dent in after filling up on the crab dip. We took them home and I'm happy to report that they are both just as delicious reheated. They were also featuring fresh BBQ that evening so I also took an order of that for my husband--- and he didn't leave any leftovers!!! Hobnobs is a great place to gather for good food and drinks and to relax. The food is top notch & is easily a Zagat recommend but without all the pretentiousness or cost of a frog-frou place. It's come as you are, stay as long as you like and enjoy the ambiance....which included a delightful guitar player/singer with a large repertoire & was a lot of fun!! Our daughter is relocating to the area and Hobnob will definitely be our go-to meet up spot. I can't wait to go back!!! We also enjoyed meeting Patrick-- the owner. He, like we are from Virginia and we had fun reminiscing about the area and our mutual love for Va Tech Hokies(family alma mater). He was great fun to talk with and we appreciated his taking the time to visit with us personally. GO meet him and try out Hobnob...you won't be disappointed!!!!
The food was meh, and our server was a bit...checked out? Our bill was wrong, they brought the wrong order, and my friend's food was so late that the rest of us were halfway though our meals before she was served. Too many other great options in that area to return.
Food was good but service sporadic. Dessert was not worth the price.
I chose HobNob for dinner because of the menu choices and the fact that I had a large party with different taste. The service was slow taking our order but once they got it the food was out in 10 minutes which made up for it. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The options for the burgers were nice (Choose type of burger then pick your protein and side). Atmosphere was about about the same, just okay. The place had a garage/local bar feel. Lastly, I thought the prices were a little high for what you get. All in all I feel like there are better options in Atlanta so I would skip this place next time I'm looking for a gastropub.
I wish there was a live performer like the one in Brookhaven. But space is limited, so I understand. I had a great time and the food was great! I'll definitely be back. The valet is a plus!
