HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern- Brookhaven

Love this place for good food and beer on tap. Waitstaff was great. just gets a little noisey when the outside doors are closed.
I was there on a Groupon, but the restaurant did not have the majority of the items in the "deal" available on their menu. They let us choose other items, but it was not the experience we purchased. The waitress seemed to be unaware of the deal and had to consult the manager to even know how to handle it. The food was OK, nothing special, certainly not enough to make me want to return to the restaurant.
A good beer selection. Southern Spring Rolls are great
Fine! Had a fine time!
This is the first time we indulged in burgers and fries. I had the Dixie Burger and it was moist and delicious. The french fries are cut small, perfectly fried with a little crunch and just the right amount of salt. Too bad we could not finish. The burger was wonderful.
First time and last time.
This location as well as the one in Midtown are hit and/or miss. This last visit to the Brookhaven location found the food and service to me slightly off. They were not busy so we couldn't understand why the service was slow and the food ... well the fries tasted like they had been sitting around all day ... hard as a rock .... some of the sides were also cold and were sent back. Bathroom was a mess. Notified the hostess went back after we ate and it was still a mess.
It was not busy at 5:00 and our waiter was overwhelmed and seemed preoccupied. I asked what the vegetable of the day was and he said broccoli. I was given Brussels sprouts that were awful (not cooked). The menus were so dirty and sticking to the tables. We brought friends for a birthday celebration and I did not want to bring up all the negative stuff. My husband ordered a sandwich and they brought him a dinner. The waiter said he misunderstood. We may give it another chance but I really felt it was dirty as soon as we sat down.
Delicious food and awesome environment!
Our waiter was in a very bad mood. She obviously wasn't happy and probably should have called in sick. She never smiled, seemed bothered when asked anything about the menu or happy hour, didn't deliver our food, didn't check on our drinks for refills (had to ask another waiter), and asked for a replacement BBQ sauce because there was a piece of meat in it and she seemed annoyed thinking we put it in there (child had chicken fingers, not some BBQ beef). We would have gotten out of her way if she were a bit quicker, but she wasn't.
Went for Father’s Day. The mimosas, mango and pomegranate, tasted mostly like champagne—which was good and bad. The brisket was GREAT and the silver dollar pancakes were regular sized pancakes! But the waitress was very bad. She was late to the table, messed up our order, and seemed generally apathetic about serving us. The other servers were friendly and pleasant so we just chalked it up to a crappy incident.
Took a longtime friend out for father’s day
Great dinner, service and atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
My food came out cold and the wait staff was not attentive. I love HOBNOB but this experience wasn’t my best.
I’ve visited Hob Nob at 2 different locations. I’ve been to the Midtown for the brunch and the Brookhaven location for NBA Final. I’ve enjoyed their manmosa and tiramisu brunch. Also, I tried the lamb burger with Cajun fries. I used Groupon here with no problem. I encourage everyone to try Hob Nob.
I don't like the limited menu on Sundays
One of my favorite brunch places. Such a vibe
The food has been hit or miss on previous visits, but this time it was a definite miss. The Brussels sprouts weren’t cooked and tasted bland. The basic salad lacked flavor and the chicken tenders didn’t impress. Our server, Wessley, was amazing. Great beer recommendations and very attentive. The restaurant itself has a great feel, the kitchen just needs to step it up.
Great honey ginger sriracha wings!
Our server appeared to be tending bar and serving tables. She was stretched too thin. Overall, we liked sitting outdoors and having a quick meal. Great neighborhood spot.
Terrible service. Drinks took forever and the waiter was rude. Only thing that was good were the wings. I will never go back. Terrible experience.
very good wings (and I'm from Buffalo so I should know!)
Good food service was great
Great local restaurant with delicious food! You get quite a bang for your buck.
Beers and some snacks, ok. Good tap selection. But having been to 2 different HOBNOB locations, definitely don't like the food. Its all fairly bland and standard ( tried 2 diff burgers), 2 diff main entrees.
Experienced very poor service during our dining. It took 40 minutes to close out our bill.
Great Dixie burger!!
I was very disappointed in the service this Sunday afternoon. I live in the area and I come to Hobnob on a regular. I decided to sit at the outside bar, the service was horrible. They didn’t offer me water or anything. I did come in on the phone so I understand them waiting. After getting off the phone, I asked them for water, ordered a drink and food. My food was brought out by someone else, the bartenders never ask me was I ok or how my food was. I wanted to order another drink but they never asked, so I had to waved them down and ask for my check. I think it was just bad service for everyone at the bar. The person beside me came in they never said anything to him so he asked if he could get my menu. I ended up going next door to the Italian place for another drink.
Food and service were great. They did sequester us in a back corner not sure if that was because we had 3 kids or not ... but not worth complaining over.
Wonderful Easter Sunday brunch. Place was packed but the service and food were great
Nice place and good food. Loved the board games, made brunch extremely fun. Staff aren't very nice, a little rude and try to not look your way to avoid extra work!
Food wasn't as good as usual. Really greasy. I would prefer the fried green tomato under the bun and not on top of it on the southerner. Burger wasn't anything special. I usually get the salmon. Very very loud on St. Patrick's Day. We didn't know that there was something special going on and would have preferred a table not so close to the musician and there were plenty of tables farther away so not sure why we were sat there.
This was a very disappointing dining experience. They have an interesting menu but when you get the food, it's really not special. The fried green tomatoes are super bland. The BLT salad is a bowl of lettuce with no dressing and a few tomatoes on top with bacon crumbles. I could do that at home and be disappointed so that's not why I go out to a restaurant. The chicken waffle sliders were stale, tasteless and not slider size...they were big and awful. The wait staff was super disorganized and uninterested. The drinks off the cocktail menu were weak and didn't taste at all like they were described. I was so excited to go to this place but I would not go back nor recommend it.
Fun neighborhood find. Loved our server. Food was good quality pub food. Very family friendly - they even have a wall of board games at the front of the restaurant to borrow while you wait for your food. Kept our kids entertained!
Reserved a table for 10, with special request of 2 high chairs. When we show up, the table they reserved is in a location that doesn’t allow for high chairs.
Service was incredibly slow and it was hard to get her attention when we needed anything.
Food was fine.
Joey, our server, was phenomenal for our large group. Everything came out perfect, together and right temperature.
Wait staff was prompt and very pleasant. We love the food ordering fish & chips and pot roast, our favorites. The southern Belle pimento cheese is now heated, great twist for winter.
Service was outstanding. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the pot roast.
The flatbread pizza I ordered was tasty but barely lukewarm.
This was a Thursday night and the restaurant was not crowded at all, yet I couldn’t find my waitress.
When she did come over I explained the situation, she took it to be heated but when she brought it back, it had been put under the broiler and the crust was burned to a crisp.
Underneath, the the cheese still wasn’t melted.
I did take home an order of meatloaf and it was delicious.
I’m not sure that Hob Knob is going to make it.
There is a lot of competition in Brookhaven.
We had lots of fun. Food was very good. We will definitely return to dine here again.
