   Fantastic service. They really worked with my wife’s food intolerance and also made sure we earned the maximum for Marriott Bonvoy members. The food was phenomenal as well.

   Lovely time at the Hiya and had a drink at the bar afterwards. Very good food, pricey but we didn't feel unreasonably so, drinks were good (not exceptional) and the wine was very overpiced for what it was (which was a shame). Our meal lasted longer than we had planned (we enjoyed it too much!) and so the restaurant moved our bar reservation accordingly so that we had a seat with a view. It's the sort of place that we were really happy to go to for a one time special celebration, but probably wouldn't go back to. Recommend calling ahead and reserving a table with a view - it would be a shame not to have a seat by the window. Overall, it was great.

   We enjoyed our evening there, the staff was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, though a bit dark lighting. Food was very interesting, we really liked most of the seafood dishes, but the wagyu rice pot and miso soup was a tad too salty for us. And finally the Fuji dessert was amazing!

   Very nice restuarant situated near the Bund area. Nice view over the Pudong area as well. The staff is friendly and service minded. Great selection of wines. The food is quite exciting!

   From all points of view, a very nice place. Pleasant service and nice views, ideal for a quiet romantic moment. The food was prepared carefully with a wide variety of choices on the menu. We enjoyed our Bento’s (beef and chicken) as well as the wagyu beef skewers. The deserts are also worth the detour, in particular the Mount Fuji signature desert.

    Romantic setting with beautiful views over the Bund. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented too. The staff members were kind enough to scatter some rose petals on our table since it was my partner’s birthday. Only comment is that most of the staff lacked English speaking skills which was quite surprising as it is quite a tourist friendly area. There was some struggle in our communication with the waitresses but their hospitality makes up for it. Overall a great experience.

    Amazing view over the Bund to Pudong. Delightful service from the manager, bartender and waitress: efficient, helpful yet subtle. I loved my lemongrass cocktail, their take on tacos and the chocolate/ chestnut Fuji cake which was so light. A lovely evening.

    The view from the restaurant is amazing and clearly one of the main attractions of the restaurant. When entering the host welcomes you and you pass a very nice bar to your table. We ordered a few appetizers which were quite good, the disappointing part was the service which had no follow up to our questions. We ordered the 30day aged Wagyu steak because it is quite unusual to age Wagyu so we wanted to try it. Before we did we asked our waiter how it was prepared and he mentioned that they had only two per day and one was sold already. We asked can ours be medium since they have good slow cooking it for several hours. We were told yes. When we received the steak it was at best medium well done with even the middle slice not pink in the center (we took pictures). We told our waiter and he said maybe the chef was trying something new, whatever that means. He said he would ask, he never came back. Eventually we didn’t want to wait anymore and ate half at which point we asked for the bill. We told this to the person who brought us the bill, who wasn’t our waiter, he said he didn’t know and that he was sorry. Nothing more. Overall I’ve been to Jason’s other restaurants in London multiple times, this was way below expectations.

    The restaurant was all around wonderful. After making my reservation open table, I was addressed by my name by all the staff. They gave us a gorgeous seat by the window with a view of the bund because we notified them that it was our anniversary. Everything was wonderful, food and service!

    Food was very mediocre. 288rmb for a Wagyu M6 ribeye cooked medium rare that was very small, tough, and had no beef-y flavor whatsoever. Likewise, the black cod also from the "Hibachi" section of the menu, was a small filet with a glaze that was excessively salty AND sweet. No originality to flavors and poor execution to nearly everything we tried. Overall, the dishes, even the kara age, seemed like poor renditions of what you might find at an average izakaya in Gubei.
