   One of our favourite Manchester restaurants. Yes, I know it’s in Didsbury, but I needed to make sure that it wasn’t misunderstood that this place hits the spot regionally. Last night’s wine dinner was a step up on their normal excellence. Lovely staff, clearly enjoying working as a team in a first class establishment.

   Absolutely delicious tasting menu and wines. You can always rely on Hispi for excellence and this meal was no exception!

   Tonight was our second, first Friday of the month tasting menu night & we had another fabulous evening. If you’ve not been here already you are really missing out, Hispi really stands out from the crowd, it never fails to deliver great food and seamless personal service .    The wonderful team at Hispi has surpassed itself yet again! The Didsbury Tasting Menu nights are simply unbeatable and are now a firm fixture in my diary. Everything about the experience is as good as it could possibly be, from the courteous, calm professionalism of the front-of-house staff to the imaginative menu and outstanding quality of the food. The opening snack was a mouth-watering Isle of Wight tomato and wild garlic focaccia (I've never tasted focaccia as good as Hispi's and that alone makes a visit worthwhile). This was followed by a starter of grilled Wye Valley asparagus which was cooked to perfection, its delicate flavour enhanced by a tangy sauce gribiche topped with a tiny quail's egg. The crisp zestyness of the paired wine, Papagiannakos Assyrtiko, was an ideal accompaniment which carried us through nicely into the sea bream creviche, which came with a lovely fresh fennel and citrus salad. The tender, melt-in-the-mouth roasted chicken breast main dish was garnished with morel mushrooms, the rich flavour and meaty texture of which complemented the meat perfectly. It was served with potato hash brown, gherkin ketchup, rainbow chard and mushroom and truffle sauce - all totally delicious - and the paired Chilean Pinot Noir (Limarí Valley) was an excellent choice. We decided against the optional cheese course, though it's great to see Hispi pairing up with Didsbury's own fabulous The Cheese Hamlet. The Yorkshire rhubarb and custard fool with lemon madeleine was a perfect light and summery dessert, and as a finishing touch we were presented with a home-made dark chocolate and strawberry truffle. We had a fantastic evening and can't wait for the next one!

   We had a great evening last Wednesday. There were 9 of us and we were well looked after by the staff. The food was great and we will be going again soon. Thanks 😊

   Lovely lunch in pleasant surroundings. Delicious flavours and modern presentation. Friendly and efficient service without being overbearing. Definitely worth a visit …. And then another …..and then another!!

   A really fantastic meal here to celebrate a birthday. Food was outstanding, very nice menu and all cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, a very friendly welcome and the restaurant had a lovely ambiance. Would definitely recommend.

   Really enjoyed our dinner here on Wednesday evening. We ate from the early diner set menu and it was such great value. The food was really tasty. It was a relaxed ambiance also

    We ate at Hispi today to celebrate a birthday, as we couldn't think of a better place for a special occasion. We were warmly welcomed by Beth, who served us throughout the meal and couldn't have been more helpful. Choosing from the varied and imaginative menu isn't always easy, but then again we've never gone wrong - whatever we have is always spot on. The food is freshly and expertly cooked using quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. We eat at Hispi quite regularly and find the standard consistently outstanding, so never eat anywhere else now!
