I love this place. It's about one notch up from a hole in the wall. The staff has always been friendly, and the food is amazing.
The dishes were small in serving but the quality and taste are huge! I've had Chicken Tikka Masala many times and its usually 5 pieces of dried chicken with lots of sauce. At Himalayan, it was the opposite. Just enough sauce & lots of tender chicken. I also had the Aloo bodi Tama which was excellent. We'll definitely be going back!
Great restaurant with great food!
Good food, great service. Spot is tucked out of the way and far better in service and quality to other Indian dining within a few blocks. Their take-out and delivery is great also.
We came here because it was in a convenient location, near a meeting we attended. The food was really good as was the service. The setting is not elegant but clean and quiet.
The menu had many selections and was appropriate for meat eaters and non-meat eaters.
The food was good. I don't usually like Tandoori chicken but our waiter raved about about the dish and insisted it was there specialty. I have to admit it was the best tandori I've tasted so far, but it's not a dish I would order again-- but that is just differences in taste. The lamb tikka masala had good flavor. It comes in a small bowl. The 'Bread basket" was a good way to try the different flavors of naan. The naan was very fresh. It was fairly quiet, but there were only 3 other tables occupied while we were there on a Saturday ngiht. The best part for me was they were able to make the dishes truly mild. They have a steady take out business. The gnats constantly flying around detracted from the experience.
We have been here 3 times already and we love it. It's rarely crowded and the food is ever so yummy. Spice level is tolerable, not as spicy as other Indian restaurants. I recommend this little hole in the wall any day.
