Booked for my Mum's 85th birthday dinner. Really nice roast dinner, good portion size, gravy was a bit heavy on the salt. Service was excellent, very helpful when it came to determining what was and wasn't gluten free. Very pleasant when asking them to do candles etc. just handed the cakes and candles over and they did everything else for us. It was a Sunday afternoon, so the pub was quite busy and, due to the French windows being open next to our table - noise from the outside diners meant it was difficult to hear each other on a long thin table - but a minor point - we should have asked for one of them to be closed which would have helped. The kids really enjoyed having the garden to run around in and the parents enjoyed being able to have dinner in peace!

The food was lovely - our party of four all really enjoyed our meals. The service was just right - there when needed but not intrusive. The noise level did rise to a level when a hard-of-hearing member of our table couldn't hear us, but this was just due to an adjacent party, and was not an issue after they left. There was an incident when torrential rain came through immediately adjacent to where I was sitting so I was forced to move, but it was well handled by the staff, and there was no issue with our party moving to an adjacent table. We will be back.

First visit. Many items on menu not available. No coffee apparently for7 days! Portions small and based on price, poor value. Great staff let down by clear operational and kitchen problems. Will not go back. Shame the ambience was pleasant.

No chicken available. Half of the food ordered didn’t come what did come was overcooked staff were so lovely and apologetic but quite frankly the chef needs to go. No management available the young staff left to just cope. Have always loved the farmhouse but they need to get that kitchen sorted pronto

Ordered chicken and pasta, chicken dry and hardly any pasta at all, the dish was tiny for £14!! No coffee the machine had broken (fair enough) but told no cake or desserts! Last visit

Really understanding when we were delayed. Great food as always. Really tasty, flavoursome double burgers. I was just disappointed that the coffee machine was broken ! Otherwise it was fantastic

Had a lovely lunch outside, the Korean sesame-fried chicken burger was yummy! There was a great selection of food & drink, and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
