It took so long for our waiter to first come over to us. After he did, he forgot half our drink orders. When we ordered, a burger, 2 AUCE crabs & A crab leg plater, only the burger and 1 order of the AUCE crabs came out. We were told it would be another 5 minutes till the rest of our food would be out. The person ate their whole burger meal and the table still hadn't received any more crabs. We had to flag down a different waitress to find out what was going on with the rest of our food. For the price it was it wasn't worth it.

My wife and I frequent hilltop quite regularly and have never had this poor of service. Put in the back room, which was freezing. We were sat at 6:30, no one came to our table until after 7. One of the three waitresses we had was very rushed and unpleasant. After being sat for over an hour and a half, I went to the waitress and asked for our check because the food never came. She turned away and didn’t say anything. 10 minutes later our food came out. At this point my family and I just wanted to eat and leave. Let’s not mention the fact we were hit with a gratuity fee…. 4 adults and 1 infant. We love hilltop and have never had this experience before. Very difficult to want to return after this.

It was me and my hubby first time there and we were amazed the atmosphere was nice and the food was amazing and very tasteful the portion of the food was great size and it’s all you can eat crabs we loved it I would return .

Not the place to take the family or kids on a Friday evening. My 12 year old and I had a night to ourselves and she wanted crab for dinner so Hilltop was the choice. Sadly it was not a good one. The crab and hush puppies were good, but took over an hour to come out. This is not an exaggeration either. We ordered 2 pounds of crab clusters, fries, and hush puppies at 6:10 and did not get them until 7:25. It appeared there was nothing coming out of the kitchen for anyone for 30-40 minutes. Then we were stuck in the corner at the end of the bar with all of the “regulars” who were very loud and obnoxious and must have bumped into me at least a dozen times while sitting at our table. For once I was glad my daughter had her phone and AirPods. It may not have been an issue if we were not seated where we were or not a Friday evening, but it definitely made for an unforgettable experience that’s for sure. When we left my daughter said “so that’s what a bar is like? I don’t like bars.”

Known for seafood I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was perfectly cooked and deliciously flavored! Husband loved the fried crab cake.

We only ordered apps and soup which were good. Volume of the band pretty loud, but appreciated the entertainment. Our server was ok, but to be fair they were busy. Will definitely go again…it’s a good casual, local spot.

Hostess seemed surprised we had a reservation on a Saturday night. Sat us at the table that’s literally not even 2 feet from the bathroom. Server was way too busy to be attentive, no blame on her. Food was good overall, but the asparagus and potatoes were ice cold by the time they came out, which was almost an hour after we placed the order. Crab legs were good. Drinks were good. The guy running all the food was hurrying and doing his best, I suppose they just seemed understaffed.
