The Highlight Room
We had reservations at this restaurant on a day that was slightly drizzling and they never once sent me an email pertaining an issue about the weather. When we arrived they told us that the restaurant was closed due to the weather. This was an extreme inconvenience considering we had plans to go to this specific place for a friend's birthday and we live about an hour away. It would have been considerate of them to send an email at least warning us in advance about the weather being an issue. I understand that it is a rooftop restaurant, but in pictures it looks like it has tents and most rooftop restaurants are still open if it is slightly drizzling like it was that day. We ended up going to Perch, another rooftop restaurant and it was lovely.
We loved everything we ordered and the serving sizes were bigger than expected. We ended up taking plenty home to enjoy later. The direct outside elevator was not in use so we had to enter through the hotel lobby and have someone show their access card to use the indoor elevator.
Great food! We had the French toast, and impossible burger. Everything was rich and perfectly cooked.
Great business lunch, perfect for a goodbye party. Innovative, vibrant dishes!
Perfection from start to finish
Service was horrible. Pool and restaurant looked nice. Food was decent. I saw Chanel West Coast, so that was cool I guess.
This was our second time there and both experiences were 5 stars.
Great location for a great view of Hollywood and downtown LA. They could polish it up a bit but for what it is, it’s a nice place for lunch.
Absolutely fantastic ambiance with attentive service and delicious food. The grilled salmon is flavorful and the old fashioned smooth. Will be returning.
This was honestly one of the WORST dining experiences I've ever had. Made a reservation for 11am. Arrived with full party and weren't seated for 15 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. It took another TWENTY MINUTES for a waiter to come to our table (this is after we asked the hostess if we had a waiter for our table). No water was provided, drinks came out after ANOTHER 20 minutes. For a place as expensive as this, it's insane to think the service is so poor. I guess go to the pool to take your instagram picture, but don't bother eating at the restaurant.
Great for a Sunday brunch. Looking forward to visit for dinners.
This is a very nice place for brunch. Happy people all around and happy staff. We only had a problem with our table but they did their best to make it better and they did. I deeply recommend this place
The highlight room was the perfect place for my girlfriends and I to have lunch for my birthday. Service was great! Food was great! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Recommend 10/10.
We tried this restaurant for dineLA and the food was good. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that the Arnold Palmer cost $8, which was not very good anyway. My nephew's alcoholic beverage was $20. All in all it's a very good location with beautiful views.
The food and the rooftop views of LA was outstanding! The service was awesome as well. All in all, this was a great place to dine.
Nico and Sara made our experience great. Our table was lovely, and the views are awesome. My favorite was the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, but everything was tasty.
Rooftop view is spectacular with Hollywood sign front and center. Worth a visit, especially for out of town guests looking for a Hollywood experience. Food was tasty - burger and fries were not very hot, otherwise, very good. Sent the fries back for hotter version. Server was happy to do so, but they still came back warm.Service was a little slow. Parking in the area is an issue, especially on Sunday - Valet is $20 so be forewarned!
I loved the view. However I was extremely disappointed as I made a reservation for 3pm and was informed that closed at 5pm sure to a special event. I thought 2 hours would have been enough time for drinks and appetizers. Also this was a special occasion, we were celebrating my husband's birthday (just the two of us) . When we arrived, w were told it was last call and weren't even able to order food. To top it off we were practically asked to leave at 4, a whole hour before their supposed closing time. Very disappointing.
Love this place, the view is amazing and the food is delicious!
Great view and good people-watching. Overpriced food that is mediocre and poor service.
Good vibes and views perfect to sharing dishes!
Food was amazing, our waitress was so nice and the view of LA is pretty rad. The only con: drinks could be better.
I was glad to finally get to try this place out! I love a good rooftop and Highlite Room is gorgeous. Although a little pricey everything was delicious and a generous portion. Will definitely be back!
The service was horrible. The server dropped my mimosa, and charged me for another. Spilled water on my boyfriend and food, and didn’t replace my meal. Overall, the servers were not attentive.
Horrible! service was horrible. Food was very bad and expensive. Not worth it. Do no go here
The view was great! Service was speedy and attentive, food was delicious! Loved everything about this place and can't wait to go again!
for the price...
...food is meh.
...service is slow.
...only good thing is view...if it's clear.
The Highlight Room provides great ambiance and nice handcrafted cocktails.
Love the ambiance! The chicken sandwich was delicious and berry champagne was just what I needed! Can’t wait to go back!
Been here twice now, setting is amazing great views. Food is mediocre and service is poor. Also overpriced for what they are serving . It’s too bad it would be perfect if the food and service were upgraded.
Amazing place with the views you want! Service was amazing, everyone was so nice.
Was basically like eating at a pool party. Music was so loud I had to yell to have conversation. It was absurdly crowded and overall I’m just not down with being at a club at noon for lunch - that was the vibe though. Our first time was amazing, but this second time was enough for us to not return again; pretty view or not.
If you like loud Hip Hop scantily clad very young waitresses this place is for you.
Food was ok. Not a place for grown ups.
Service was average, could be better. Food and cocktail was amazing tho!
The space looked work and beat up. The dining room was closed which they didn't advise before hand and so we were seated on a patio in the sun adjacent to the pool.
Our server was wonderful. Ambience is FANTASTIC. Food was alright, nothing spectacular (ordered avocado toast which did have a juicy poached egg. Friends ordered The Waffle which there was some confusion over and they had to wait for the duck). Took awhile for the food to come out but we were enjoying the company and view so can’t really complain. Drinks are really pricey, even for LA. But I would definitely go back for the ambience! And it wasn’t too busy which was nice. Bartender doesn’t arrive until 11 for any specialty cocktails.
Ashley was awesome and helpful with the menu choices. Elaine the manager was touching tables all night and we had great conversation with her. Awesome place to go with beautiful views of the city.
No menus after being seated. No waters after requesting three times. Food took 45 minutes to arrive. No refills. Had to get up to ask for bill. Server literally nonexistent
We immediately sat down to the smell of fresh manure that lingered throughout our meal. Our server (despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy) couldn't seem to be bothered with being friendly or attentive (so sorry we bothered you with our company). I ordered a club soda, and because the server couldn't figure out the appropriate charge for such an abnormal request, there was a charge for $8 added to the bill for "flat water". The food itself was decent (though overpriced), and the atmosphere was as expected on a rooftop in LA on a gorgeous day.
