   Simply awful. Poor menu. Pasta was overdone and swimming in some strange sauce with flour. Flank steak tough as leather. Other than that, great wait staff and good views.

   The staff all were very processional and friendly, thank you. We had dinner here three evenings in a row while we stayed at the Mt Shasta Resort. All the meals were very good. The chicken and apricot was very good and the flank steak was cooked as ordered and was very tender, you should try both. Other dishes we tried were the Caesar salad, noodle salad, pear and steak flatbreads, slow roasted pork ragu (this is a real comfort food dish). I would recommend and order any of these dishes again. Yes I would recommend this restaurant.

   The ambience was extremely loud with dishes banging in the dining area and a family that let their children run around and had a sick child who coughed the entire time. When we asked what cooked vegetables they had, all they had was asparagus.

   This was a very nice find along Highway 5! The restaurant was very busy, so I am glad we had reservations! Food was delicious and wait staff was polite and attentive!

   very friendly & helpful staff & food is excellent! the only thing is that they don't know their sauces. we first asked for sweet & sour sauce, as the veggie rolls came with chili sauce. We were given cocktail sauce. Then we let them know & got the same chili sauce. Therefore we got 3 sauces that were eventually wasted. When we pointed all this out to them, they admitted they do not have sweet & sour sauce. I just think its strange that the wait staff do not know their sauces. Otherwise, we had a very nice time for Valentines day and are sure to return!

   The ambiance was disappointing: looked more like a diner than a nice restaurant. Food was good but certainly uninspiring and unoriginal. The service was the absolue worst. We actually had to ask to get dirty plates removed from the table after the next course was delivered. The waiter just moved the old plates out of the way and set the new ones in front of us! The wine list is a joke. Oh, and the cherries used in a Manhattan? Don't bother. They could have come from Costco. Nothing upscale about this place at all.

    We went up on a Friday evening for a girls overnight trip. Dinner was excellent. We both had the filet medallions and they were accommodating for my dairy allergy. Breakfast the next morning was just ok. They should really fancy up their bloody marys and the food was acceptable. I will continue to visit again and again though. The property is gorgeous and you can see the majestic mountain from anywhere in the restaurant. I would recommend for sure!

    Our meals were not edible. One chicken dinner and one fish. Questioned whether the chicken was truly chicken as it was rubbery and tasteless with a gross consistency. Over cooked asparagus and fish and dry rice rounded out the meal. We will not return.

    Made reservations thru Open Table for 6 at 4 PM. The Dining Room does not open until 5 PM. However, they accommodated our party of six at a beautiful table with a great view of Mt Shasta. Our server was excellent. Salad was fresh and crisp, the bleu cheese dressing was disappointing. All 6 of our party liked their entres, good food and served timely and hot, just average for an upscale restaurant.

    We had a later booking at 8:00pm through the open table app. They did it have the booking. That may be the restaurant’s fault, I don’t know. Two of our party had the soup and it was definitely, “end of the night soup”. The steak was good but the baked potatoes were also very dry and had been kept warm for along time. The sauce that accompanied the steak was not that good. The service was good and all the wait staff was attentive to our needs.

    Friday 11/9, 6:00pm Table bread: tasted like the fridge, butter was hard and not spreadable (butter chips were straight out of the fridge). Artichoke dip: came out in a bowl that was hot to touch, but the middle of the dip was cold. Not stirred half way through or even after heating. Dip was broken and greasy. Not sure why you’d serve bread with it if you automatically serve the same bread to all tables. Maybe a flat bread would be a better option or simply eliminate the bread off the dish. Clam chowder: hot and delicious, potatoes were cooked perfectly, needed a bit of s&p, but not a big deal. My prawns dish was also cold, couldn’t taste any ginger or lemon. Baked potato was easily 3-4 hours old (it was served at 630pm, possibly left over from a lunch shift?), it couldn’t melt butter. Veggies were cold. My wife had the prime rib. The steak came out perfectly cooked and seasoned, but her veggies were cold and the rice (she subbed out her potato) was bland and had virtually no seasoning to it. Server was very kind, attentive, and accommodating. I didn’t catch her name but she was very gracious and willing to make everything right. She offered to re-fire our app and my entree, but I declined both offers. She took off the app and my entree off the check. She also comp’d a dessert. No manager visit. Lighting was a bit low, music was barely audible. Please don’t take this review as being rude or nit-picky, I’m simply a guy who was out to eat with his wife and had a subpar experience. If I were the owner/operator of this establishment, I would want this kind of honest feedback.

    We had dinner and breakfast there. The dinner was very good and plenty to eat. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee was very good. The staff was very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend them for a great meal.

    The fall colors around the property are vivid and beautiful. The view of Mt. Shasta from the dining room is superb. The food, however, is only average. The Eggplant Parmesan was way overcooked and too heavily breaded. The Chicken Parmesan was in similar condition. Also, they may have been short-staffed that evening because the solo waiter had to not only wait all tables but he had to bus them as well. But he was friendly, and the service was good.

    Everything was good with two exceptions: There were flies in the dining area spent most of my time shooing them away from my food and the dessert tasted slightly moldy and not fresh.

    We were surprised at how excellent the food was, and reasonably priced. For people driving through on I-5, it's a short detour for excellent food, on the edge of a golf course with a view of the mountain

    The restaurant came highly recommended so we made a reservation at 5:30pm for an 8pm table. I followed up with a call requesting a window table with a wine bucket with their best champagne (Gloria Ferrer) waiting and alerted that we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary. We arrived at 7:55 and was told our table wasn't ready yet. We said no problem and that we would enjoy a drink in the bar while waiting (I saw that the guests that were at a window table were getting ready to leave, so knew it would be a short wait. After about 15 minutes or so I knew they had forgotten to come get us. I ordered an app to be delivered to the table so we'd have something when we were seated. I finally went in and was seated. No ice bucket, no champagne and server was rather inattentive. We were also seated next to a table with a toddler. Fortunately we both like kids and he was very well behaved but, really?!? After waiting quite some time for the scallop appetizer, (and still no champagne) we realized that this was not going to be the special evening we had hoped for and cut our losses, paid for our drinks and appetizer and left. Huge disappointment although the menu looked outstanding. The restaurant was not busy and I have worked in "the Industry" off and on since 1973, very, very disappointing and did not feel the staff had any remorse or sense of responsibility for ruining our special night. I am glad we cut our losses because if the evening had continued like that we would have been even more upset with dropping a good chunk of money, glad we cut our losses the scallop app was very good.

    Was very disappointed. Rolls were doughy. We requested our filets medium and they were well done and dry. May even have been pre-cooked and re-heated. Was not worth the drive to Redding. Will not be going back or recommending.

    Decent food, not gourmet, but decent. I had the prime rib which came with a baked potato and steamed mixed veggies. Pretty standard prime rib fair. Waited a bit after dinner was done for our check. I think they only had one server on (we had an early dinner) and he was getting his legs run off. Staff were pleasant and pretty attentive.
