Located in the historic Franklin Building, High Street is a modern American eatery and bar that celebrates the essence of local grains.     Great place to eat dinner before the Forrest Theater, so close! You have to get the black garlic knots - indescribable and fantastic! Wonderfully attentive service without being intrusive. The 20% service charge is not a problem, they earn it!

    This is one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The black garlic knots were transcendent. The half chicken was a piece of cooking art, elevated by the very homey schmaltzy toast. And the mushroom pizza...wow. One of the best things I have eaten, perhaps ever. And then the brownie sundae was a terrific variation on what could be a mundane theme. The perfect blend of salty, sweet, minty, textured and more. The drink menu is great. And the service is unfussy, professional, attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

    The best brunch I have had in a very long time. The bialy with salmon was beautiful and delicious, and my niece’s croissant salad was excellent as well. Would love to go back!

    Everything was perfect except that I prepaid for parking using the link on their webpage and, while I was charged, I was unable to use the prepaid parking ticket so had to pay again. So, I not only didn't get a discount for parking, I was double charged. The restaurant was unable to help me resolve the problem. I have reached out to the parking facility but don't expect any luck there either.

    Sublime! The menu, the preparations,the quality,the service and the ambiance remind me of all the wonderful places we’ve dined in Europe. But it’s here,in Philadelphia. High Street is in a class of its own. Top of the line. Ellen Yin has outdone herself.

    A great place for lunch- airy, charming, casual and delicious! Exceptional breads, soups and giant sandwiches. They let my friend and I sit and talk long after the meal was over. Small but quality wine and bev list.
