I dined at High Street on Hudson the night before Thanksgiving, and had the most amazing experience. They were so welcoming when I arrived, even though it was late and the restaurant had largely cleared out. The kale salad with apples was outstanding. The whole branzino was out of this world. They were kind enough to filet it for me, making it a bit easier to eat. The apple pie a la mode was seriously the best apple pie I've ever eaten. My server (Francois, I think) was sensational and made certain that everything was perfect. The place has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and is good for small parties or larger groups. I can't wait to go back.

Great food. Everything is made in house..even the pickles! Fabulous place for lunch.
$25 for a coke and bagel sandwich. No sides. Way overpriced for the amount of food you get.
Very disappointing. I have been coming here for awhile now. We ordered their special short rib . I took awhile but when we received it it was the worst. Super fatty and dry. Not what we expected . The waiter told us it was a bad cut and charged us 1/2 the price. Short ribs are suppose to melt in your mouth. He brought us desserts but we left hungry and bummed!

REALLY great food and vibe. Will definitely go back. A few things: wouldn't have ordered a $6 basket of bread if I knew it would be 4 slices of the same loaf. Somewhat scattered service, with a forgotten item from our order and a credit card mix up with the table next to us (we were charged each other's check instead of our own).
Food was delicious but service was pretty subpar. Took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and provide water. Then another 10 for anyone to ask us if we had any questions. Server forgot our appetizer and entrees came out first. Husband sat with an empty glass of wine for half of the meal before he could flag anyone down to replenish. Overall lackluster service.
Amazing food. Really terrific service. Not so loud that we couldn’t talk. A big YES. Great value.

If you have an 8am reservation, be ready for slow service.
Third visit, sat at the large table next to the kitchen which is more private and slightly quieter than the rest of the restaurant though you do have to deal with the kitchen bustle. Food and service were great as always.
First of all I only give 5 stars for food if there’s an option for vegans for the entrees. I had a big bowl of gazpacho and it was absolutely amazing. The bread was scrumptious. I also ordered the hot olives and dipped the bread in the olive oil. My girlfriend and I shared the bread plate and the olives plenty of olives to spare the bread disappeared. I did feel a little rushed by the staff who took our bowls and cutlery while we were eating the bread with jam to finish up. The gazpacho was phenomenal but it is tomato season!
Knowledgeable staff, delicious food, best gazpacho ever, great wine and amazing tasting fresh bread.

I loved everything that I ordered, the hand-made/home-made feel of the food is in every bite.
Those are one of the most fluffy, delicious scramble eggs I have ever had. The bread, the butter and that bacon, man, I loved every bite.
Always delicious, staff are lovely and accommodating. Prices are slightly high but the food is so delicious it's ok!
Overall good lunch, but menu is limited and I would have liked more bacon in the BLT.
The brunch food was delicious, and the service was good but a bit too attentive. Because of the constant check-ins, we felt rushed.
I would like to suggest that they fix their pizza oven so that the door doesn't squeak each time it is opened and closed. It was loud.
Their management of reservations through OpenTable seems to have some glitches. We were recorded as "no show" though it was corrected when we questioned it. On a previous visit, they "closed early" and were unable to honor our reservation. They did make it up to us very nicely, on another night, but it was a nuisance. We like this place, and are regulars, so it would be nicer if they could get this stuff right.
Service was a bit slow and not very attentive/aware but overall quite wonderful!!
I won't be returning to High Street on Hudson. The food was subpar and the service was some of the worst I've experienced recently.
I ordered off the restaurant week menu, and ordered the labne, beef au jus, and sorbet. My main course was inedible- the bun was soggy to the point of turning into mush, the beef was overcooked, there was so much horseradish I couldn't taste anything else, and the dip was unbelievably salty. There's only enough flatbread with your labne to eat about half, and if you want any more, there is an upcharge.
The service was truly horrendous. The time it took for dinner was literally doubled from what we were expecting because we spent about an hour total chasing down our waiter, and by the end of the night, anyone that looked like they worked at the restaurant. The first time our waiter was nowhere to be found, we approached the front of house staff, asking to be helped. He said ok, but then just went about his own business and did not get our server. After sitting for about 30 minutes, I walked around the restaurant- he completely disappeared. I asked another waiter for help. Nothing. I asked a busboy. Again nothing. Our dessert finally arrived, and when we wanted to get the check, I had to do the same run-around for another 30 minutes.
This was a completely unacceptable experience, and ruined a birthday celebration.

Nice, comfortable neighborhood place. Food was good but pricey in my opinion.
$28 for a roast beef sandwich??? Good, but c'mon......
Terrible, slow service. When our appetizers were delayed, the waiter apologized and told us he would bring us bread and butter (which they charge for ordinarily!!). He did not end up bringing the promised bread and butter and we waited a significant amount of time for the apps. Main courses took a long time, too, and they were apologetic - they blamed service on the volume of orders but restaurant was 60% full. Got a free dessert but really just wanted to leave at that point.
We had the $65 per person menu which included 4-5? Dishes each. Warmed olives, liver pate- delicious, oysters on the half shell, fish ponzu- a sashimi type dish - well done melts in your mouth....,our entrees included a crispy roast chicken, moist inside; a cheese infused risotto; tender roast beef in a bun with au jus and special horseradish dressing. There were various house made breads with several of the dishes. Top that with a dessert menu...the cook outdid herself. We would go back and do it all over again.

Classic American with a twist and great emphasis on locally sourced provisions. Adventurous wines by the glass.
Food was exceptional. While we got off to a rough start with a terrible table, they recovered graciously and delivered an outstanding meal.
Wine list too expensive but food is good. Portions are small. Overall not bad but no value here.
Very well attended too after a mix up at the start regarding our booking. Team went all out to make us feel comfortable once that was fixed
