It was our college friends get together, and we had a full day planned. Therefore we needed an excellent brunch to start. The service was a bit slow but good. The food was great. I had French toast and coffee which both were great. It was a pleasant experience.
I had more expectations with food. I don't think this worth bib gourmand. We also wanted to have drinks between 4 and 5pm and they told us that the team were resting.
They (or the software they use) were very concerned about whether we’d show up on time; I confirmed multiple times.
Food was very good, though their menu has shrunk to accommodate outdoor dining. We ate on the Hudson St sidewalk, which was a little busy with foot traffic. Service was very attentive, food came quickly. Can’t speak to value since I was a guest of my friends.

Really terrible. In spite of an almost empty restaurant, getting service was the job of the patron to flag down a server. We had to ask for water to be poured after 10 minutes seated. Food was uninspiring, steak requested med rare arrived well done and when left mostly uneaten on the plate, it never occurred to the server to ask why.
WOULD NOT GO BACK.
Food is totally different from previous menu AND the quality has gone way down.
We left after appetisers. Great ambiance and service but food and drinks were just not good. Guacamole HD avocado skins in and needed more salt. The jalapeños needed to be mixed in more and it needed more lime. The drinks were flat :(
Great gem near Little Island and the Highline. We sat outside and enjoyed the fall weather during lunch. The service was great and the food delicious. I had a cheese burger that was one of the best I've had in a long time. My daughter had the tuna tartar and chicken sandwich which was so good she refused to share.
I would have lunch there again anytime!
16 Bucks for 4 skewers that were consisting mostly of red Pepper instead of pulpo is definitely not ok.
Same thing for the cheeseburger, overpriced and just ok.
Also, we ate at an old plastic table, without even a paper table cloth. Zero effort to make the place a bit more pleasant.
Good for if you are still up an running after the pandemic, but you should not fool people.
Indifferent service. Wait staff had to be summoned each time, otherwise we were ignored.
We had brunch there. Omelette and french toasts were decent but not impressive enough for us to go back again. Nonetheless, the service was great. Courteous, attentive, but not disturbing.
It seems like they’re pretty half-hearted in wanting to run a restaurant. They have one tea and it’s not even actually tea (it’s jasmine tea). They have no mustard. The service is inattentive and poorly trained. The food is so-so, but priced well above that. It’s a lovely location, so hopefully a more professionally run restaurant replaces it soon.
We love this spot! We are long time fans of the Philadelphia sister restaurant Fork in Olde City and High Steet on Hudson has the same type of innnovative food, delicious and not too fancy but fancy enough. The wait staff was wonderful and kind. We took our teen grandaughters and it was cool enough for them and made us look cool too:)
Good drinks, great oysters. Food not worth the price point- especially the very sad lobster roll.
We ordered two entrees and a soda. The bill came to over $70 and I was hungry! Salmon extra small portion, with a tiny puree of asparagus. Will not be going back.

The food and service were very good but would not go again on a hot day. With the open kitchen it's difficult to keep the temperature comfortable.

Nice spot for drinks and dinner. They have a happy hour before 7pm where oysters cost $1.50 each. The Tuna tartare was especially noteworthy. Great cocktails too.
Everything about this place made for one of the best dining experiences. The fish tacos and the lobster roll were made to perfection. Can't wait to go back.
Not so good
I booked a reservation here for my boyfriends birthday and graduation. I am so glad I picked this place! It’s in a great area, right near The High Line which was a plus! They gave us a glass of champagne on the house to help us celebrate which I truly appreciate. The staff were amazing, very friendly and really made my boyfriend feel special for our celebration. The food was FANTASTIC. I ordered the Branzino and he ordered the Strip Steak. Both were cooked perfectly, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was superb. We also ordered two drinks that were delicious. At the end of our stay, they also gave him a piece of cake on the house for his birthday. Like I said, they really went out of their way to make this a memorable occasion for us. I am very grateful, and can’t wait to return soon.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was a bit hot in there. I’m not sure if the AC was not on, or they just needed more of them, but it was a tad uncomfortable to sit there in the June heat.
I recommend this place to everyone and we will definitely be back soon!
Completely blown away by this restaurant. My friends and I found it on the Michelin guide, and cannot believe how good the food was. Our drinks came to our table (LITERALLY) on fire with a half-lime floating in them that had an extra shot. The burgers were marvelous—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned; the octopus skewers were melting in our mouths; and the spicy chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had.
I cannot fathom how this place doesn't have a Michelin star or two, but I think it will at some point in the future.
If you want to sit outside and not in the ‘indoor but outdoor’ section you have to be very specific in the booking.
Somewhat limited menu but food was good (especially the guacamole and chips). Service was excellent.
This isn’t High St on Hudson anymore…a mediocre seafood restaurant took over the lease. Food wasn’t well cooked in addition to the fact that I booked brunch expecting the delicious HSOH menu I’ve had befoee
I’m sorry to be unkind but I’d hoped for better. Food was average to below average. Service bordered on desultory. Everything arrived at different times and the last entree ten minutes after the others. Our server was pleasant but his colleagues ignored us. Asked for bacon on the side for the vegetarians but it was served on the plate. Salmon eggs benedict was overcooked and dry. It was hard to get people’s attention. Coffee was bitter and awful and it took about 15 minutes for cream to arrive. The bacon was good by the way. It was hot as heck in there too. I wish I could be more eloquent and specific but overall impression was of not caring too much about things.
We were a party of 7. Our waiter verged on rude. Our entrees were all timed incorrectly and a side never came at all. The host graciously comped two entrees and a side but the waiter just seemed a bit rude and not on top of it. Overall the food was good but the service made it a less than memorable experience.
The service was pretty good - but they get busy and slow. We had food before we got our drinks, etc. Our server was cool. Food isn’t amazing but not bad at all. Honestly everything was fine but the gay club music just ruins brunch for me. Give me jazz or reggae or something and make it quiet enough that I can at least hear my friends talk.
The vibe here is casual and fun. The food leaves a bit to be desired. In particular, the steak was a particularly fatty and tough piece of meat.
Highstreet on the hudson has rebranded and completely changed their menu but has not updated any of this online. Therefore it was misleading as we had planned on going to try specific things which was not possible.

Loved it. Second time there and this time for dinner. First for brunch. Great both times.
We chose to dine at High Street on Hudson based on exceptional previous experience and to celebrate a major life milestone- my college graduation. Additionally, my husband and I were seeing my mom for the first time since 2019.
Unfortunately, this experience left A LOT to be desired. I booked an indoor reservation because neither my mom or I enjoy outdoor dining. However, when we arrived the dining room was bare of tables and chairs so we were left to sit outside. We proceeded to order dinner and I had the salmon whereas my husband and mom each ordered steak. My husbands steak was heavily over cooked (he ordered medium and received well done) and extremely fatty. Most of his steak was inedible. My moms steak likewise was far from lean though better cooked. The overall ambiance was ruined with bugs and uncomfortable temperature (hence why I requested an indoor table).
My husband and I were super excited to show off the restaurant to my mom but it was sadly a bit embarrassing. I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon.
Not ce outdoor table for 5 of us. Leisurely paced fully enjoyable dinner. Almost like a neighborhood type place. I’ll be back for sure.
Tacos were not good and very poor service.
