High Street Cafe
As always, we had a great lunch on Sunday at High Street Café soon to be rebranded as Café Piko -- named after the owner Manuel and his Puerto Rico roots. He and his restaurant family always make us feel welcome and special. Would highly recommend. Definitely will be back soon
Oustanding food, real Latinamerican flavors, best quality.
We met friends and had a nice dinner. Delicious Brussels sprout and lamb meatball starters, etc. But we were driven out of the restaurant before dessert by a too loud vocalist. His voice was good but the volume way too high.
Great place for brunch! Service was excellent and decor was very nice. Looking forward to coming back!
Great food and great ambiance.
Our server was awesome. She was attentive and when possible the other servers helped as well.
I will absolutely return to try other dishes.
Poor experience. After ordering breakfast the waitress “Daniela1” suggested to bring us new coffees in to go cups, because we were there for an hour already. It was too bad because my friend and I had a great conversation and were ready to order more stuff. The food was mediocre.
Not a good experience. While we were able to get a reservation last minute, it was probably quiet telling given every place we wanted to dine was fully booked! The market always tells the truth and the truth here was this place is probably hit or miss. We were seated immediately by a friendly, aloof hostess with our choice of seats. After about 10-15 mins we had a very friendly waitress take our drink order. Food took a long while to come out despite the many empty tables but seems they were low on staff, not clear if by design. The expediter of food was the busiest person there and a manger/owner type man walked around aimlessly, looking to be busy but really not lending a hand. Our food arrived cold, which was the bizzarest of scenario s considering we sat 5 feet from the kitchen window and like I said, not many people in the restaurant. He also didn't seem to care. As to what it tasted like, we sent back and didn't wait for a hot version so is hard to say! After 10 mins when we could get someone's attention, The waitress was apologetic and we were not charged for the uneaten food. Next time I will trust instinct and question why a restaurant has so many available tables when so many other eateries are full and people willing to wait over an hour for a table!
They were out of the first wine we ordered but offered an excellent substitute. The food is great, excellent flavor combinations. It is noisy which is hard, but we would go back
As always this restaurant is absolutely wonderful!! I love recommending it to friends, and it’s my go to for any occasion.
I would definitely go back! .............................................................................................................A
Great food, price value and special personal service always!
Great food and service..will recommend to others....great location.
I must have eaten at a different restaurant than the people that wrote all of the people who wrote positive reviews. The food is mediocre at best and very overpriced. The pork chop for two, which was $45, was basically inedible because it was 98% fat. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in Georgetown.
Great service, food and wonderful server Nelson!
Men's bathroom needs better cleaning at night though!
great food and drinks, service friendly and family!
First time visiting this restaurant and will definitely be back again. Succulent seafood stew from the menu and extraordinary environment for my friend's birthday celebration. Nelson was very accommodating to our guests requests for Caribbean fritters (Alcapurrias & Fried Plantains with pico de Gallo) and we enjoyed our seating table near the fire place. The 4 leches cake was delicious! Excellent service! Kudos!
High Street Cafe was excellent. Manuel Iguina the owner knows his food and how to enhance the experience of great food. We went on a tuesday they have pork and Puertorican food. the plate was huge I took half home. The chef seasoned the pork, and the arroz con gandules deliciously. it was a wonderful experience and of course it was great to catch with Manuel. We were a total of eight, we all had delicious meal served hot. Daniela our server was spectacular.
Second time going there. The service is good, but the food is not.
Great food, it is nice to have a Latino restaurant with great quality
I loved everything about this restaurant, especially the service!
Great service, quality food and happy hour too!
Location is excellent!
Brusque service. Meh food
We love this place. We live a few blocks away in Georgetown and try to visit there every week. The owner and the staff are fabulous and go out of their way to provide great service and make you comfortable. The jazz on Thursday night is a wonderful addition
They are not ready for customers. They don’t have enough servers. The kitchen does not know how to serve everyone at the same time. The food took a long time and two meals weren’t ready. It is extremely unorganized. They didn’t get the drinks right. It was a very poor experience and I never write these things. It was also surprising that no one apologized or even acknowledged how unacceptable this was.
We throughly enjoyed our brunch at High Street Cafe. Friendly service, delicious food, great location!
It was amazing. The lechón was on point. We had the most wonderful time
Excellent food. Went for Noche Boricua and had a phenomenal time. The food was excellent as were the drinks is. Super service considering that the place was packed.
The service was good but I was expecting the food would taste better than it did. It was boricua night and the food wasn’t great. Mostly overcooked dishes
High St is a real fresh breath of air. I love the variety of cuisines, especially when they make Puerto Rican dishes. Staff friendly and well informed. Location cozy. I know the owner from his first restaurant MIO. I tell others about it and have brought friends and co-workers. Long Live High St. Café.
Great service, quality food drinks, pricing good!
Great service and attention always! Food and drinks top quality too!
Excellent quality food with flavor that excites the palate. We plan on going back frequently.
Excellent huevos rancheros at brunch. Very friendly service. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu soon.
Absolutely wonderful food, drinks, ambiance, staff, and in a great location!
Excellent menu, delicious food, friendly staff, attentive server, location is very convenient
This was our first trip there. The food was unique and delicious. The ceviche was great and Lechon pork shoulder dishes are highly recommended. Great to see a future Georgetown staple put down some roots!
Great neighborhood spot!
Our first time here before going to the KenCen and what a delightful experience! Every staff member was so friendly and eager to please; they ensured we would enjoy a pleasant dinner. Beginning with cocktails, the Ponce Old Fashioned was terrific, not bitter. We shared the lamb meatballs for a starter...the lamb was flavorful and the accompanying in-house tzatziki no problem asking for additional pita. We followed with shrimp the chosen one, an alborino (?) paired beautifully with our food. The different styles of Latin cuisine played well with one another. Anxious to try the wood stone pizza...something for another visit!
