   So bad! Terrible (virtually non-existent) service; horrible tasting food -as in inedible, and the temperature of the space was so warm that we sat sweating and waiting. The restaurant was empty and it was clear why. Go to the gas station for snacks instead, this place was the worst.

   Nice place, good service, likely good for private parties. Food was good inexpensive but smallish portions.

   One of the absolute worse meals we’ve ever eaten. It was obvious that the chicken wings were pre-cooked and warmed up. They were fully cooked but cold -yes cold- inside. Same for the fried chicken sandwich. 2 hunks of chicken thrown on a bun and very dry. Even the dark meat was dry. Missing the chow chow, missing the dip for the fries that had way too much batter on them. There were only three other people when we got there which should have been our first clue. Very very disappointed.

   Awesome Dinner for Mother’s Day. Even though it wasn’t packed, I would recommend dining there in general.

   The food was amazing as well as the service . There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try that I’ll just have to come back .

   We went to High and Rye on a quiet Easter Sunday for brunch. Wife and I both had the Waffle Biscuit Eggs Benedict. It was very good with a very tasty Waffle Biscuit adding nicely to the traditional Eggs Benedict. We also had a side of the Cheesey Grits. Was quite delicious.

   Sigh. I really wanted to like—no, love—this place. Such a cool concept, and a great location in a place that needs some better and more varied options. I am also not in the habit of giving bad reviews. Alas, these folks have a lot to work on in the “execution” department. The staff was very friendly and personable, but for whatever reason,the service was not so great. It started off fine, we were greeted and served a round of drinks fairly quickly. It kind of went downhill from there. Getting the food and a second round of drinks took much too long. They were out of a couple of things we ordered, but did not tell us until the rest of the food was ready. They did not bring out the vaunted choice of sauces for the brisket until we were finally able to flag them down and ask for it, by which time we were pretty much done trying to eat. The brisket was tasty, but dry, and really needed that sauce. The second round of drinks did not show up until we were almost done eating,which is a problem when you specifically order a wine or beer to go with the food. They were out of jalapeño cornbread, as they finally told us, so we ordered the crab hush puppies. I think these would be really good if they were not over salted. A great idea, lots of crab. The one thing that really was delicious and arrived promptly was the watermelon salad. Although we are looking for a “go to” place in the area when we have tickets to a concert at the MIM, I doubt we will be back. A shame. I hope they get their act together. I know how hard the restaurant business is.

   Wonderfully kind staff and great food! They made a beautiful 1st drink for my 21 year old!

    I will be the first one to say I understand completely that it was bike week. And they were a bit busy but the management was horrible . Our waitress seemed to care about us more then the management did with two of our orders getting missed in the mix. Great food and our waitress was amazing!!! But the female manager came by and and said she was taking care of two of our things on the check, gave us a resident discount. We were nice and polite but not acceptable as the female manager said a few words and walked away. Didn’t even come by afterwards to apologize again. May try it once more when there is not bike week, but if the managers are the same way will not ever come back. First rule of a restaurant, service counts more than the food!! Great wait staff though!
