Hifalutin Rapid Fire Western Grill
The food and servers were outstanding. The only negative was the noise. It was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation.
First timer....table against wall uncomfortable. Corned beef great, cabbage almost raw (unpleasant)
Server excellent. Unable to converse because of noise level.
The staff was excellent, responsive and attentive to service. Despite it being very crowded on a Saturday night and guests waiting to be seated, we did not feel rushed to finish our meal. The meal was hot and fabulous, no complaints. Make sure to make a reservation! The restaurant had a nice western ambiance but the bathroom could have needed a little clean up on a busy night like this. But overall a great first experience.
It was just okay. Very hot inside. The wait staff were all sweating.
The ribs were dry. The prime rib was not as good as the last time we were here. Service was slow in getting drinks but ok for the food. We’ve been coming here since it was owned by the Baggins people and we believe it has gone down hill a bit.
The menu had a lot of options and the server was great. Quiet fir good conversation!
Amazing food, superb service, the perfect ambience to reflect a Western vibe in a contemporary world. Anyone looking for a great dinner in Tucson should come here.
We really enjoyed our first dinner at Hifalutin. Our male waiter was the best.bi just thought after seeing the food, it was a little over priced compared to other similar restaurants.
What a wonderful surprise!! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Hifalutin! Food was excellent! Service was perfect! We will definitely be back! Love this place
This was my first visit to Hifalutin. My family in Tucson goes there regularly and likes it for its menu and location. There were 4 in our party and we all ordered something different. Everyone was pleased with their meal and the overall experience. I had the BLT (bacon and brisket.) It was huge, overflowing with tender meat. Salmon, Caesar salad/salmon and a pasta dish with artichokes all looked good and were enjoyed by those who ordered them.
My Mother and I celebrated our birthdays at Hifalutin. The food was great. Moh was charming and friendly, the wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I came from Virginia to have my birthday dinner there.
My husband was craving a good steak and thought of Hifalutin, even though we hadn't been there in years. He enjoyed his steak.
I had the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer (4 to an order) that were served on a cold bean/salsa relish. There was too much of the relish in proportion to just 4 shrimp. Should be served on a smaller plate with less salsa, so the shrimp stand out. But they were very good. I also had a cup of the green chili chicken tortilla soup, which was very filling.
Service was good, restaurant was quiet as it wasn't full. We had a very nice, friendly server as well.
Hifalutin never disappoints. The decor is fun; the servers are competent and friendly; the menu is varied so everyone can find something; the presentation excellent and the food is just great.
We love the cowboy/southwest atmosphere.
The food and service was excellent!
Weakest point was the server. I mean, she wasn't bad per se, just not engaging or seemed concerned that we had a good time. I noticed engaged OTHER servers...so. Food a little high priced since it came with no salad or sides...all in all I'll be back
Food was average service was slow. We had a 15 minute wait between when our bill was delivered and it was picked up. I suspect staffing level was the problem more than motivation.
We had a small family reunion at Hi-Falutin' and everyone just loved this place. The service is outstanding and the food is very delicious. The atmosphere is very special here, great for a romantic date or family gathering. The dishes are prepared with flavor and flair, and the place is so warm and inviting. We very much enjoyed ourselves.
Great meal and wonderful waitress. We will be back!!
This gathering with our friends happened to coincide with the Super Bowl being in play. The wait staff did a marvelous job considering all that was going on.
Valentine’s Day and it was difficult to get a reservation on short notice but I was fortunate to get one at Hifalutin. Service was excellent, food was excellent, and atmosphere was very good
We like the western atmosphere and the wide variety of dishes on the menu. The appetizers were especially good.
Went here with the family and we all loved it! Great food, drinks, for a great value!
This western-themed restaurant and bar is extremely friendly and accommodating. The patrons are typically middle aged and low key. The bar staff and the wait staff were all very competent and on top of their orders. We never felt rushed. We liked it so much we came back again two night in a row from out of town.
It was a freezing cold time and although the porch is covered and “heated” we were seated inside next to the door. It was open more of the time than closed and were were frozen. We wore our coats all through the meal. Didn’t stay long or order anything extra. Too cold.
Excellent steak.would go again.
Good sevice well portions on food and drinks
Outstanding! Always love the steaks and the menu has something for everyone!
The band plays too loud and they are NOT very good. Loud and flat at times.
Also, I normally love the steak fajitas, the the steak was not up to par and was very greasy.
My experience at Hyfalutin was Aeesome. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitress was experienced, professional and very friendly. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality.
Outstanding service and the food was delicious. There was seven of us and the service it was johnny on the spot. We can’t wait to go back.
Excellent food and service. Huge burgers and sandwiches. My salmon was perfection. Hubby loved his prawns and pasta. Attentive, well timed service. Highly recommend.
This is a cute casual cowboy motif place with a variety of items on the menu. The jalapeño margarita was delicious. At our table we had chicken and steak fajitas- either plate easily would have served 2. Ribs were good. Stroganoff seems an odd offering along with tacos and meatloaf, but at our table it was reported to be “just like Mom’s”. Server fine tho not overly attentive. Prices reasonable for large portions of well-prepared food. Plates came out together and food hot. On a Saturday night the place was hoppin’ and noisy. We will return, particularly with friends who you aren’t sure what they like. Great variety on the menu!
My wife ordered soup and the pot roast dinner. I ordered the ribs. The waitress asked if we wanted the soup served first and my wife said yes. Within 15 minutes she returns with our dinners and no soup. She said that the dinners we ordered always come out fast - faster than soup???! My wife no longer wanted the soup as her dinner was already delivered. The waitress returns with the soup in a to go cup and charges us for it!! The pot roast was good, but my ribs were horrible- all fat! After dinner the waitress brought our check and never asked if we wanted coffee and dessert. We have dined here before, but I won’t be running back anytime soon...
Great service too!
Having eaten here years ago, we have been talking about going back. We are so glad we did, their BLT was delicious; and huge! Steak was so so, but okay. Service was great! We will go back again and try something different. Value for what we got was exceptional!
Great place! Have been coming for many years, it never disappoints. Best meatloaf! Our only (minor) complaint would be that the service is SO good that one is out the door too soon. They should take a lesson from the French and slow it down a tad.
Great menu options. Cowboy rib eye was delicious. Great band in the bar and not overly loud.
Fun atmosphere, great staff, generous portions. If we return to Tucson we will return to this restaurant.
Practically Perfect In Everyway! That is really all I need to say!
We hadn't been back to this restaurant since the ownership change but we decided to give it a try. Overall it was good but one of the rib-eye steaks had a lot of gristle. When you're paying $40 for a steak, it should be pretty near perfect. Otherwise, the food was good and the service was excellent.
The prime rib "special" was $36.99.
Overpriced in our opinion.
Also most of the dinners were around $27.00 plus which
did not include a salad...…….salads are inexpensive and should be included at that cost.
