Hand peeled large shrimp grilled or blackened to perfection. Served with your choice of two sides from the A La Carte section of menu.
She Crab Soup
A long-time house special. Piping hot with hand picked crab meat.
We dined with another couple, none of us had been there before. Reviews from others and the menu convinced us to try it. We were so pleased with our experience. From the warm and rustic atmosphere, to the friendly staff and most importantly, the delicious food, we will be back! This is our new favorite place.
Mandy did a nice job waiting on us and taking care of our group.
Very personable and positive.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the dining experience.
Farewell dinner to grandmother going back to NYC. The whole experience was great.
Great fresh fish choices… food was good I had the fresh grouper … key lime tart was not fabulous… and that is my favorite dessert ever..
Service was ok… Our server seemed outta sorts, while nearby tables servers, were calm and friendly.
In the area would go again!
Daily specials are overpriced for local seafood
Need more & better apps menu
Outside seating was nice
Drinks were also over priced
Overall I would go back for outside seating & not order a daily special
My family of 4 were traveling for a long weekend. This was our NYE dinner. It was delicious and the service was great.
First time last night. I got the fresh catch salmon with the nut crust and it was delicious. My wife got a med rare filet that was cooked perfect as well. The atmosphere is great and the outside seating with fireplace is a great vibe.
Great food, great service and very generous portions.
If you're looking for a modern, trendy restaurant, this isn't for you. If you're on a search for fresh (literally, off-the-boat this morning) seafood served in a relaxed, congenial atmosphere, then this is your restaurant. A multitude of menu choices (including non-seafood items) are available. The homemade cheese biscuits will have you asking for the recipe, but the not-too-be-missed are the fresh (or steamed) oysters are the highlight. Harvested locally, you'll want at least a couple dozen. Fresh and briny, shucked by Johnny, come to the table with hot sauce and lemon....that's all you'll need. Prices are reasonable for the portion size and quality. I highly recommend you add this restaurant to your dining favorites.
good casual seafood spot. reasonable prices & good choices for their fresh catch seafood.
Excellent waiter and large menu selections. the bucket of steamed oysters was great. We will be back
Fresh fish is always wonderful at Hieronymous. Our server was excellent. Another lovely evening!
Poor quality food. Not fresh and very salty. Also highly priced for sub standard seafood. Vegetables not cooked properly.
Service and food was excellent, all was very pleasant experience.
To my taste, the broiled scallop and shrimp entree is too heavily spiced, but fresh and delicious nonetheless. What impressed me most was the care our server took to be sure my husband's dish had no added salt, given his restriction. He was solicitous and pleasant. Thumbs up!
Always enjoy eating here.
Tuna was very fresh but needed a sauce-no soy sauce or ginger. The cheese biscuits was delicious . The baked oyster appetizer as very good. The fried clam plate was good but too much.
The fresh fish was prepared well. We were a little disappointed in the side selection. The service was excellent. I would recommend based on previous visits and this was the holiday season.
It took an unusually long time for our food to come out. Half finally arrived, but the 2 guests with us didn’t receive their food until we were finished with ours. The waitress apologized and offered a free dessert.
Overall, not a good experience.
Other diners arrived and left while we sat waiting.
Nice vibe. Cute place. Great service and food. We really enjoyed.
Mashed potatoes cold- everything else was good. Service fine
Be sure to get the she-crab soup!
Oyster appetizers was good. We went because menu on line said they had filet mignon. They didn't my husband got the N.Y.strip steak. It was cooked to his desire but very salty and fatty rice pilaf overcooked to much fish I ordered with Carolina topping g was good
The she crab soup hit the spot for openers and I followed that with blackened Corvina that was very tasty. Our waiter was friendly and engaged, well done!
We had a great meal! It was truly a good experience.
Loved the ambiance, really beach feel and the fact they had three different areas within the restaurant. They had the patio, oyster bar and the primary restaurant. The food was great but wish the waitress had told us about the half price wine bottles since we had two glasses of wine. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back.
Wide menu choices, focus on seafood. There was a bit of confusion about who was in charge of our table. Fortunately, we had no plans after dinner, but were ignored for 20 minutes. After our order was placed, tasty food arrived quickly. Loved the Caesar salad.
Great server and exceptionally fast from Order to meal delivery.
Great laid back atmosphere on the patio and absolutely delicious sea food. We live out of town and eat here every time we visit.
This was our first time visiting this particular restaurant. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The ambiance was nice. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious! My husband had the ribeye and I had the seafood alfredo. Our waitress, as was every single one there, was pleasant and friendly. If you're looking for a family friendly local restaurant in the Wilmington area I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it!
We had an excellent meal- started with the Crab Dip. She Crab soup is very good-has a little kick to it. My husband ordered Salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a salad with fried oysters on top-generous portion of oysters and the salad was very fresh. We definitely will make a special trip to Wilmington to eat here again.
Although the service was very good, we honestly can't say that the meal was very memorable. I don't think we would go back.
It wasn’t bad, it was just okay. Expected really good seafood at the beach but not so much. My partner didn’t like his blackened fish and shrimp. My grilled mahi and sides were fine. No complaints on my end but definitely not anywhere I’d go back. Was a bit divey. Server was friendly and patient since we didn’t really know what we wanted at first.
We were very disappointed in the food.
Best flounder I have ever had. It was a remarkable meal from start to finish. Absolutely loved the Carolina topping
Great service. They did not have 2 menu items that we wanted to order (filet and mahi) but we substituted salmon and ribeye which were both good. We will go back.
Waiter struggled and nobody helped him we were a large group.
Bathroom was filthy.
Wait staff was wonderful ! Took way to long to get drinks. Food was average, not a great presentation, just a bunch of shrimp thrown on a plate.
