Excellent meal and service
Great dinner that was a very pleasant surprise on our first visit. The restaurant was hosting a business presentation that was a little awkward for those of us dining but the managed the noise well and minimized the impact with barriers and curtains. Well done.
Great neighborhood restaurant. Good vibe. Good crowd. Manager is fantastic. We had a short wait for our table and he brought us a round of drinks.
Excellent service. Food is always delicious - especially the spinach and salmon salad. Yum!
We love the food and also the chef taking the time and care to split an entree with a perfect presentation for both the plates👍
They couldn’t get our orders right. They struggled with the cooking of the meat. My wife ordered a steak medium and it came out rare. I ordered the halibut special and it was overcooked to the point that I couldn’t eat half of it.
I didn’t have to pay for my meal which was a nice gesture. The flavor of the steak and the rest of our meal was pretty good. Need to get the kitchen figured out.
Hideout 125 has a nice bit of ambience, superior interpersonal service with the staff, and good food. However, the noise level, due to the hard surfaced ceiling and mostly bare walls, makes speaking across the table in a normal speaking volume practically impossible. This is further frustrated by everyone else attempting to speak over the ambient noise.
Our waitress and servers were exceptionally polite and respectful but seemed to be very busy or overwhelmed and forgot a few little details (such as taking my straw when she refilled my beverage and not bringing a new one). However, she was top-notch otherwise, especially in friendliness and professionalism.
The seating is close proximity to the next table, which is not a problem unless you are hoping for a quiet and intimate setting. While they seem to have wanted to go for an open-space kind of feel, the tables in the room we dined in had the tables at angles up against the walls. I had to get up mid-meal and move my chair so a patron at the next table could leave.
The food was good, some of it very good. The potatoes and vegetables that came with my meal were exceptional; the meat (filet medallions) was cooked properly, and while some bits were nicely seasoned, other pieces were bland, had a slightly off taste, or just not in continuity with the other pieces. However my wife raved about how her cut of meat tasted.
The food presentation was very good.
While the food preparation and presentation and the bulk of the staff service would warrant a higher rating, the inconsistencies in my meal, plus the noise level (which left my ears feeling stuffy afterwards) rates this as a good place to dine, but not a great place for me.
One of our favorite places. My only complaint is our service seemed to have too many tables to handle.
There was nobody greeting customers when we arrived. We were eventually seated and greeted fairly promptly by our server. We placed orders for drinks which were delivered in reasonable time. Price was typical and good quality. We ordered our food. A server subsequently brought our plates but quickly discovered they were for another table, but not prior to them placing in front of us only to be removed, then brought to another table...very un-classy and in poor taste, especially for a restaurant that should be on their “A”game. When our food did arrive, it was okay but far from what I would have expected expect from a$40 plate... disappointing considering... possibly acceptable at a third of the price. Service was okay but not spectacular. I expect a lot when I choose to have dinner at an upscale establishment. I can get similar service at Taco Bell.
Great food and atmosphere. Service impeccable!
Way too noisy. Water is fancy but warm. Food is beautifully presented but some of it is rather bland. Service was very good and friendly but the waitress was extremely busy. I didn’t think the food tasted good enough for the price and the noisy atmosphere, so I wouldn’t pay that price again. Not worth it. Was supposed to have soft jazz but it was just 90’s pop rock.
This was our first visit to Hideout 125. Overall we were very happy. The food was great, but service could have been just a bit better. The noise level was pretty high. That was mostly due to a large party in the main dining area. We will definitely give it another chance.
Perfectly prepared filet. Great service; nice ambiance.
We all had seafood for dinner and it was all excellent. I had the sea bass and two others had the grilled salmon. Everyone was very pleased with their meals and the desserts were wonderful. Next visit I am going to get a steak since I have heard they are some of the best in Ft Wayne. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We love the food, service and character of Hideout125. Sometimes the noise level makes table conversation a little difficult. We’ve found that if you can get a booth in the bar area the noise isn’t as much a distraction.
First time visit! All food was fabulous, service was fantastic (not too fast or slow, perfect time in between each course), we will definitely be back!
The food was delicious. We had the Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. It was a very generous portion, easily enough for 3 or 4 people. The steak was cooked as ordered.
The lighting was bright when we arrived, but lowered at our request. Desiree was an excellent waitress.
The only complaint would be the featured chocolate cake dessert. It was a bit dry.
We always enjoy dinner at Hideout. My husband almost always has the tuna. He loves it paired with wasabi mashed potatoes. I had the sea bass which was delicious and cooked just right. Our friends had the scallops and the prime rib. He likes rare prime rib and it came out more towards medium and it was replaced immediately with a large slice more to his liking. Our waitress was very nice. We sat in the bar and that made conversation a bit difficult because there was a large party with loud conversation happening. Overall it was a very nice evening.
First time here and I was very impressed. Recommended to me and it did not disappoint. Service and food was outstanding along with the cocktails. I'll be back!
This was a great place for our anniversary. Great environment and awesome food. We will be back!!
Great food and service
Great steaks! Great atmosphere. First time there and we loved it. One of my new favorite places.
Food, server, and service was great! We wanted to try something different for my husband's birthday with our friends. We weren't disappointed.
The room was noisy when we arrived. However the meal and service were very good.
We went there for my mothers birthday. The service was excellent. The food was very good as well. Perhaps a little pricey but very good. I would definitely recommend this place after my first visit.
We loved eating there. Our server was wonderful and new our food well. Food was delicious and the chef split the dish and presented it well. Bread was delicious and warm
I was a bit disappointed about the cocktail
It was lacking in flavor and felt watered down
But overall had a great experience
Great service and fabulous food and drinks
Service was great as was the food. There was one loud group which was somewhat distracting but other than that was a nice experience.
We keep coming back to Hideout 125! The service is fantastic, the drink menu is wonderful, and the food is definitely some of the best Fort Wayne has to offer. I really like the Prohibition theme and the quiet booths. It seems like every employee- hostesses, servers, bartenders, cooks, manager -loves their job and wants you to have the best experience. I especially recommend the spinach salad and the filet, but everything I have had has been delicious. I even get excited about the asparagus!!!! If you want a great "date night" restaurant or are just in the mood for some really excellent food, this is the place you want to be!
While The Hideout has been there for some time, we hadn’t yet tried it. We were favorably impressed. The service was great, attentive. The drinks were good and a nice solid pour. The food was excellent! The filet medallion (6 oz.) were done to perfection. The Tuna was delicious, too. Will definitely return.
Excellent every time. Sevice, food and the whole experience was awesome!
This was our first trip to Hideout 125. We will definitely go again and bring along another couple. One thing I noticed is that the booth space might be a bit tight for a foursome. We will choose a table with our friends. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
We took some very good friends to Hideout 125 last evening and they were very pleased with the entire restaurant. The unique cocktails were a big hit.
I had the filet. It was cooked perfectly but it was not seasoned! This made the taste of this wonderful cut of beef very bland.
Great place to eat love the staff !
Always a fun time in the bar. Always a private time in the main restaurant. Always excellent!
Enjoyed our time there. Thx. Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
We were there on a Sunday night to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was slow to our liking. The service was excellent! The coat was expensive but not out of this world expensive. We both ordered scallops and both agreed that the BBQ sauce was a bit overbearing for scallops. Another scallop or two would add value also. Desert was excellent. I think we may go back for another celebration.
Bottle of wine, scallops, filet, app all for less than $115. Staff was very polite as well.
Hideout 125 is the affordable fine dining with great food and drinks! Our waitress Ashley was fantastic!
