The 'Hickory n Hops' menu is inspired by Chef Tigges, his Iowan roots and the richness of time spent together talking about sauces and chutneys and using Lefse as bread of choice for our barbecue. We serve an exemplary coffee, curated local crafts, select wines, craft cocktails, and house-smoked goodness with fresh ingredients and select organic food choices to create our defining barbecue meats, smoked salads and vegetables to address meat lovers and vegetarians/vegans alike.

                                                  A Baltimore Tradition. Originating from the working class neighborhoods of east baltimore, pit beef is a top round of beef rubbed with spices and grilled slowly over coals. True to this tradition, we rub our top round with our own special blend of spices and let it sit for 3 days. The meat is char grilled until crispy on the outside, rare and juicy on the inside. It is then sliced paper thin and served with horseradish sauce. All pit sandwiches are char-grilled & served on a toasted kaiser roll with hand-cut french fries. Substitute any side for just $2.50

                                                                                                                      The restaurant was permanently closed when we arrived - no sign on the door, no notice on the website. The building was locked, dark, and the furniture was cleared out.

Made the reservation on Open Table—even got a prompt to reconfirm the reservation—only to arrive at the restaurant and find a sign on the door “Closed until January 2”. Massive restaurant/Open Table fail. Very disappointing

                                                                                                                      This was my first time here and I have never tasted a salad and ribs that were so good. It was a blt salad with bleu cheese crumbles and the ribs had their own homemade barbeque sauce. The food was also reasonably priced. The specialty drinks were a little pricey at 10.00 plus but the pints were average priced at 6.00 and up.
