   The restaurant is on the grounds of a beautiful inn and vineyard. The food was all locally sourced and was beyond delicious. Our waitress was wonderful, personable, and attentive

   We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Hickory tonight. The food and service was exceptional. We will definitely be visiting again!

   This place was a hidden gem, 2 mins away from Rt 81 in Bristol VA...I was looking for a winery and i saw they did Brunch..so i took my husband here to check it out. Made a reservation for 2, it took us 35 mins to get there. We drove up to the place, didn't also know that it was a beautiful retreat, hotel, pool, spa, some Yurts. Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable..I had the brioche french toast and the hubs had the eggs benedits..it was all delicious..Needless to say we had a great time, the grounds are beautiful and we will be back for the wine tasting. Thank you again

   Went for anniversary meal with offer of a free champagne or dessert offering, nice touch!! Food and drinks were fabulous

   What a neat surprise to find this outstanding restaurant….one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant. Excellent staff, highlighted by our server Tiffany. Every one there was as accommodating as possible. The food was superb! I highly recommend the trout and the Brussels sprouts for appetizers. We will be back soon!!

   We were 20 minutes late but greeted with a warm smile. Our table was ready with a wheelchair position for my 95 year old mother with a view of the Gorgeous orchids (one of her favorites). The Easter buffet, although expensive, was a wonderful treat and Melissa was an attentive server. Hickory never disappoints!

   Wow! What a pleasure to eat at Hickory. The chef came to our table after he heard that we were bummed there was no long trout dip on the menu (completely unexpected and we would have been content ordering other delish plates). He made us a trout large plate that wasn’t on the menu yet. It was amazing! Thank you for making our 12th wedding anniversary extra special. We will be back sometime.

   Truly outstanding food. The kitchen produces unusual flavors; unusual in that I remember these flavors from my childhood but have trouble finding them anywhere in the present day. Fire-roasted carrots that carry wood smoke to my taste buds, nearly causing me to cry. A perfect version of fried catfish. Sauces with flavors that rarely travel even as far north as Tennessee. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's always a treat to meet people who appear to be enjoying delivering delicious food. A pleasant dining room with lovely views. And a special treat: a perfectly maintained and stocked restroom. I can't wait to go back.

   Good staff and good food, amazing atmosphere. Price for quality and quanitiy is off. Portions are small compared to the premium price. We dine all over the US and this resturant, from the outside, appears to be completely top notch. The execution is not on that level. The 75$ steak was good but not as good as you expect for paying double everything else on the menu. Fish and Chips lacked presentation pop but was good, same for the very small roasted chicken breast. I do not believe we will return based on value and overall quality/value ratio. We are more than happy to pay a premium for premium experience but this was somewhat lacking.

    The ambience was perfect. The food was impeccable with highly recommend. our waiter Nick was excellent. He cared to our ever need.
