This magical Edwardian building has been transformed to a beautiful bar, restaurant and private room where we hope to deliver to our customers an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Newcastle.
Join us to dine in our elegant brasserie which aims to serve classic dishes, including a generous Sunday lunch, using the very best ingredients with plenty of flavor but no fuss or in the bar for some light bites and fantastic drinks curated by a team of some of Newcastle best mixologists.
Above all we want you to relax, enjoy the music and feel at home here at Hibou Blanc.
Please note our bar operates on a walk-in only basis, and you can book our main restaurant to enjoy both our lunch and our a la carte menu. When joining for Afternoon Tea please state this in your booking notes.

Disappointed with the Sunday lunch as the vegetarian choice was a cheese souffle and salad. On a previous visit, a nut roast was available which meant the vegetarian member of our party could have the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding and feel included in my birthday celebration.

Hibou Blanc is a beautiful venue with lovely staff. The service was the perfect blend of attentive and not being overly solicitous. We had a selection of most of the starters and each was delicious and perfectly sized. Four out of five of us loved our mains, unfortunately the pasta was found to be bland and disappointing. The rest of us had lamb, fish and steak which were all fantastic and beautifully cooked to our taste. There is a great variety of food both starters and mains. I will definitely be back.

The steak special was really good value. Steaks perfectly cooked. A nice selection of sides to choose from. They used to have a wine special on as well so it would have been nice to have that but will definitely go back for more!

We enjoyed a 3 course lunch in sumptuous surroundings. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Overall, a memorable visit. One of the best restaurants in town.

We always have a wonderful time lunching at this restaurant. Staff in the restaurant are wonderfully charming and attentive. Staff in the bar are normally equally as good but failed on this occasion in the bad service delivered. Barman was selective in terms of the service he delivered. It's a real shame. This needs addressed before he spoils the great reputation of this wonderful restaurant.
