My friend took me for my birthday. Always love this place! Great beer choices and delicious food!
Food was fair at best. Craft beer selection was very good. Service was attentive. Late open hours make this a late night choice, but better regular dinner hour choices exist.
Food was fabulous (brunch) and price points were great. Can’t wait to return
Great Irish pub for dinner... my favorite place for bangers & mash! Also a good mix of traditional Irish and north American pub foods.
We had a really good time at Hibernian Pub last weekend. We've been to the one downtown, and this is similar in atmosphere and food, but so much more convenient to North Raleigh! We had the fish & chips, which had been recommended. Our waiter said that these are by far the most ordered item. Since we hadn't had before, one ordered cod, the other haddock. They were both great! Interesting location with all the ambience with lots of people coming and going. Were quite surprised that we were lucky to have made a reservation for 6:00! The place was full and buzzing. We enjoyed the fish & chips to the max! Huge Portions! We will definitely be back.
It was easy to grab a table with our reservation, and Tom was happy to give us recommendations! Thanks Tom!
Great atmosphere! I wish the menu had some more items. Service was good and people were friendly.
Waitress was very friendly and conversational which we enjoyed. Food tasted good but burgers were a bit over cooked. Would come back again.
Predictable.. Food is good for what it is.. spin on Pub Grub, with a bit of an Irish-ish twist. Beers are OK, not the biggest selection , not exactly much on micro, but alright. Choices of seating type, and at least on a Friday evening, booths were quite enough for conversation.
We have been here multiple times and always had a good meal and beer. It's relatively quiet (haven't been there when sports are on screen) so you can have a meal with a larger group. Friendly people, great service. Takes reservations. What more could you ask for?
The food was very good. Service was polite, but it took them a while to refill my wine. Overall, very good experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the Irish Breakfast.
We went for brunch. I ordered the waffles and they were fine but the syrup was cold and the coffee was barely warm.
Not a traditional Sunday brunch but the food was pretty good. I had eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked a little too long. The bloody marys were very good.
Good food, poor service. Usually the service is good. Waitress left us waiting 2 times before she took our order because she did not have a pern
Regretted choosing this place. It was more of a bar atmosphere and smelled like one. Food was NOT good. Did not receive my dining points and when I called the manager was of no help.
Family dinner for 10 we had our own little room it was perfect. The waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious.
We especially like going to brunch after church on Sundays. Moderately priced with a very good selection of food.
I was very disappointed with the Fish and Chips which had more batter than fish and was over cooked. The french fries were under cooked. My partner said the corn beef hash was good. Our server was slow and not helpful. The pub is overpriced considering the cooking is hit and miss.
Good British/Irish pub food with huge portions and good price on craft beers
H. easily accommodated our special needs with grace and poise. Thank you.
Awesome food and excellent service! Will definitely be coming back to this place. Great environment and friendly!
Terrible experience. Took 2 hours to get our food. While I understand situations occur, we never had management come over once nor did they offer to take care of even a drink or appetizer. The food was prepared terribly. Bland and over cooked.
Hibernian Irish Pub in north Raleigh was the perfect choice for celebrating a birthday! We were seated in a cozy, private alcove which was complete with tv for keeping up with Saturday football games. The online reservation system was not working correctly, and they didn't have our reservation when we arrived, but we could not have been more pleased with the promptness and appropriateness with which we were seated and served. The food and drink selection offered the perfect choices for a chilly, fall evening. The Fish n' Chips, Cheeseburger, Shepherd's Pie, and Bangers&Mash were all great comfort food. Highly recommend for a casual outing! If you are looking for high end go somewhere else. If you want a comfortable, neighborhood place, then this is the place for you.
Very busy dining room atmosphere. Loud. Boring décor. Food well priced.
We love going to Hibernian and you don’t have to wait if you use Open Table!
A favorite informal gathering point. Good beer, decent food, nice people. Well worth going to and well worth returning.
We had a last minute family reunion with out of state and out of the country relatives. I did not have room for everyone and finding a restaurant that would appeal to everyone was a stress I did not need. I booked a reservation for nine people a few hours before we showed up, which was a good thing as it was very busy being $5 burger night. We had a table tucked away in an open room with windows facing the patio and six forks and it was perfect for us. The only hitch was getting an 88-year-old ( tiny) woman up on a tall bar stool. Our waiter ( and hostess and support waitress) were great. Most everyone had the burger special which necessitated reciting all the toppings, the rest of us had substitutions and instructions. I apologize to the waiter. He got everything right and the food was very good. My family is kind of picky and everyone was happy. Phew. Thanks, Hibernian!
Good food in fun environment
The establishment was crowded due to the World Cup game. The food was average.
Went for brunch and to watch the world cup. Great space (has that perfect irish pub feel), perfect wings and good service... we will be back.
Selection of draft beers poor, nothing like what was listed on open table , very disappointing
Love eating at Hibernian! Could add few more wait staff and another hostess. You save on wait time by using Open Table!
Great food, especially on burger night! good service- pleasant folks and great atmosphere
We love this place. The food and service are great and they always find a nice space to tuck our large family away for a bit of privacy.
We went for Mothers Day Lunch/Brunch Nice that you could order off either menu. While it was relatively busy, we waited for about an hour for our food to arrive... fortunately everything was delicious and prepared as ordered! Hungry people waiting for food that long can seem much longer... I'll chalk it up to the Holiday... still one our favorites
Very slow food service - took over an hour to get our food
Probably one of the most unpleasant meals I have had in years. They took their time seating us even with a reservation. Then after getting us a drink they never check on us again. For an hour. We waited for our food and even another drink. We had to go to the bartender to get a beer.
We complained To the manager and apologies were given. We asked for a new waitress. We received one. The food was good and they comped about 50% of our meal.
A mother’s day lunch was ruined and it too 2.5 hours for lunch in a place that had 5 empty tables near us alone.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We went for the Monday night special that several of our friends had told us about. The parking was terrible but eventually we were able to snag a spot (we actually saw a person rear end another vehicle trying to squeeze into a spot while we were circling). The atmosphere was fun, the aromas tempting, and the menu looked great. Our burgers were cooked the way we asked and had a great flavor. My one complaint would be that I would prefer a larger thinner patty to match the size of the bun instead of the two smaller thick patties. It was simply too much meat in one bite and a little awkward to manage. But overall a good experience.
Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed the Hibernian. Each of us had a different menu item and all of them were excellent. Our server was very attentive and friendly but not overwhelming. We sat in a booth and had no problems at all with any type of noise level. We will definitely eat there many more times.
Always a great dinner! The Shepard’s Pie and Bangers and Mash are fantastic, good beer selection and authentic Irish Menu. Inside decor is eclectic and cozy.
