Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Hi-Way Harry's offers a cozy supper club atmosphere with standout dishes like prime rib and fish fry. The ambiance is enhanced by lovely decor, "fireplaces and a huge fountain." Some dishes like soup and chicken get praise when done right. The restaurant could benefit from more attentive service and menu updates.

The restaurant was severely understaffed. I only saw one waitress covering the whole restaurant. Same thing with the cooks they seemed to be trying to help bring out food, take orders and clear dishes. The waitress did her best that she could while trying to maintain her composure. We felt sorry for her as did others in the restaurant. Considering it was Father’s Day, they should have been better staffed as there were several large groups.

This was our first time at Highway Harry's. The service was poor., some.of the food was not served hot, there were out of menu items we tried to order, and my husband had a hair in his cheesecake. When we asked to speak to a manager about the issues we were having we were told there was no manager on duty. We asked the bartender the same question and they told us there was a manger and sent them.down to check on us. We will not be back.

Service is very very slow. Waitress said they were out of wine. Not true. Had to go to bar to figure it out My burger was supposed to be medium but came out so well done it was hard as a rock. After waiting forever for it to come out I decided not to complain. I have met friends there for years but I do believe this was my last time. It’s not cheap to eat there which is ok if the service and food reflected that. But it doesn’t. My recommendation is go somewhere else

Sadly, this restaurant appears to be struggling. First, we were only one of two seated tables. Second, it took a full 20 minutes to get our ordered drinks and to finally place our order. No explanation by the server who we expected to say they're having difficulty. They just appeared irritated. Third, both of our meals were very disappointing. Fourth, we had checked the menu from their website, but the one handed to us had been extensively modified. Yes, we understand that small changes can be made as food supplies can suddenly raise in price. But, also, the prices were shown with the Pound symbol! Who does this? Finally, as we were leaving the two servers were having a conversation which we had no trouble overhearing them complain about the lack of business. Who does this in earshot of customers? We've been coming to Hi-Way Harry's for over 10 years, but we will not be returning until we hear that they've addressed the many difficulties they're having.

Service was perfect. I appreciated the fresh crispy salad. We had prime rib. The meat was done perfectly as ordered and the flavor was outstanding. I also loved that it automatically came with horseradish. The ambiance was lovely and decorated very nice. Fireplaces and a huge fountain. We will definitely return. They offer an array of food to satisfy anyone's likes.

Service was extremely slow. We border a cocktail and it took nearly 30 minutes to get it and before our order was taken. Food was ok, nothing special. Had to ask for salad dressing for salad and butter for the potatoes. Definitely will not return.

Arrived on time for our reservation but the staff told us they were closed. (the doors were open.) Another party was told the same thing. No apology, nothing offered to make up for it. We won't bother eating here again So we had to find another restaurant at 515 on a Sunday night So much for using Open Table

This is a nice supper club atmosphere. As with most places, wait staff was slow as I believe they don't have enough. The bar tender was young and not experienced enough. Had somebody order a 'black and tan' style beer and she just dumped 2 beers together not even knowing what it was. A supper club needs to be up to par with bar service as most have at least 1 drink at the bar before sitting at your table. 1 out of 4 of us had their dinner burned and the waitress brought it out anyway and tried serving it. It was chicken and it was black so it was sent back. They did right their wrong and bring out new chicken that was done perfect but the rest of us were done by the time it came out. We went on a Friday and they had fish fry as their special; 2 of us had a fish fry and the other shrimp which all came out good. Moral of the story: order what they're good at. Items on their special menu and your general supper club fare of Steaks and Seafood are the way to go. BTW, their soup was OUTSTANDING

The food was just so-so (the french onion soup was inedible I'm afraid, mostly cold under the baked top and way too salty, but my burger was fine), and the wait for our food was quite long. The server explained there were three large groups which I understand adds time, but it also seems like the kind of place that caters to large groups so one would think they should be used to accommodating that in their usual workflow. Also the menu is absolutely overrun with typos/other typography issues which leaves a very poor impression of their quality as an establishment, as this would be an easy fix if they took the time to have it edited.
