Great brunch menu! Wonderful service! Casual atmosphere.
My husband and I recently had dinner at Hi-Life and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had the enormous vegetable salad, which was crisp, delicious, and filling. My husband had the chicken pot pie and all but licked his plate. Service was attentive, and the restaurant was warm and cozy on a cold night. Although most of the tables in the cafe were full, it was still quiet enough to hold a conversation. We will definitely be back!
I ordered sushi rolls. Clear it had been pre- made at an earlier time. It was gray and had an odd texture. The wasabi was brown and rubbery. I didn’t eat it.
Great neighborhood place, good for quick meal, good for kids, reasonable prices
A local spot with local people. No tourists, good food. I had the local special (fried eggs, rice, beans, sausage) and my wife steak & eggs. Very good margarita and cinnamon toast. Would stay again.
I needed a place for a casual dinner before an early movie. The menu is varied, the food was fresh and tasty -- but not for foodies. There was something for everyone. The service was very good and we were given a table in a pleasant corner with a view of the street. I would go again even though the food was not exceptional.
We had a wonderful meal, a relaxing time, and the wait staff was very attentive without being overly intruding. We've been before and we'll definitely be back!
Friendly, quick service. Make a reservation.
Ate here while we were staying at the Excelsior down the street. Great ambiance - a real neighborhood feel. Reasonable prices ...unlike the $150 breakfast we had at Sarabeth’s. Highly recommend. Took three kids - something on the menu for everyone.
Excellent food and drinks! Get the salads but try blackened chicken on them.
Ambience and food are casual and always reliable. I love the energy of the restaurant.
We were visiting from PA and Hi-Life seemed like a great neighborhood kind of restaurant where people gather every week. The decorating was eclectic and funky and it had a lively vibe. We all had a version of Eggs Benedict and all enjoyed them very much - we were startled to see 3 perfectly poached eggs on each plate. The service was good and overall I would say that it was a great value for the quality and quantity of food.
Hi Life never disappoints . We are always welcomed warmly by Earl and Simon! Hi-ly recommend Hi Life!
I kept seeing ads for this place so I decided to try this place out on a date. I made a reservation but when I got there, the reservation wasn't really full anyway. My date arrived not long after and we ordered a bottle of wine, three appetizers, and some sushi to munch on. There was a special going on that night for a few dollars off a bottle of wine, and also, buy two, get one free appetizers. The food wasn't bad. The sushi was surprisingly decent.
Servers are very attentive. Good food at reasonable cost. Early specials are a deal.
