   If faulty towers was a restaurant. Where do I begin, taking booking on open table when you are closed, apparenlty but opting to honour the booking was admirable. It seems like a few had done the same. But the owner having a family /staff meal in the middle of the restaurant and being half cut was a step to far, the menu online is not the menu in the venue, (who’s Rubén’s , tatty falling apart menus ). Hearing other customers complain about the food ( not surprised as the kitchen staff were all drunk and I can only assume microwave food was made) and the owner verbally abusing said customer s. As they walked out. I thought I was in a secret episode of knightmare kitchens. Not to say we paid for our drinks and left. I will never return to this restaurant what a joke

   Worst dining experience I have ever had. Will never go back again. I will definitely not recommend . most rude stuff I have ever encountered who called us fat and said he didn’t need customers like us!! . This place needs closing down immediately.

   Having looked liked we hit the jackpot with a New Year’s Eve booking at HG1 for some food and drinks, me and my partner was deeply disappointed to find out they wasn’t doing any food. Having travelled 1.5 hours to enjoy our New Year’s Eve together we expected at least a phone call to warn us! Instead we ordered a takeaway and took back to the hotel as there was nothing available elsewhere. We will not be heading back.

   Booked our table one week before and when we arrived on New Years Eve we was greeted to be told the restaurant was not doing food so we tried to find somewhere in the town but was all booked up, safe to say I will not recommend to friends and will never set foot in HG1.

   Booked this place for New Years Eve for dinner and we were greeted by the bar staff explaining that there was no chef for the night, so we couldn't have any food. There was no contact from HG1 to apologise or to even mention that any of this was happening. We paid for taxis and on new years eve we struggled to then get into another restaurant.

   Rang and left a voicemail a few hours before we were due to visit and said the restaurant was closed. Left us very little time to make other arrangements. From posts on their Facebook page this seems to be the norm for them. Others hadn’t been contacted and arrived at the restaurant to find it closed. Very disappointed and don’t think we’ll bother rebooking. There are plenty of options in Harrogate for eating out.

   We turned up to HG1 on 29/12/2022, 15 minutes prior to our booking to find the restaurant closed. We had not been contacted by the restaurant warning us that they would be closing. There wasn't even a sign on the door. At this point in the evening we were unable to find a suitable restaurant in Harrogate that wasn't completely booked, so we retuned home at which time I phoned HG1 and left a message asking for an explanation. No explanation or apology has been forthcoming. Very disappointed!

   Booked this restaurant through OpenTable only to find it closed with no correspondence. Others have also commented their disappointment on the company Facebook page of finding themselves in the same position. Unsure if it has permanently closed?

   Very bad experience waited for a long time for our starters, when it came it was wrong , a lot of the food was not available, poor service and the manager didn’t seem to care. Would not recommend

    The service really let it down. 90 minutes for the main to arrive. We ordered a dessert and it never arrived. Very under staffed. This is the second time we’ve tried it and we wouldn’t go back
