Hey Nonny is comprised of two parts: a music listening room where great musicians engage with the audience, and a farm-to-table Bistro.

Although service was pleasant, the drinks were very weak, the burger was decent, the veggie burger was a mushy mess (could not pick it up) and the place is so noisy that you can't hold a conversation. Will not return.
Food was good but service was not great. We had our menus taken to give to another table before we had ordered which I thought was strange. We had to chase done our server more than once. I liked the food enough to try again so will assume we just came on a bad day but not sure.
We had an early reservation and were promptly seated. Ordered a drink which took much too long to get. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich with Brie and I ordered the fish with some gazpacho to start. The food took way too long to deliver and my soup was delivered with the meal. I sent the soup back and it was removed from the bill. My fish was actually pretty good but my wife said her choice was just OK. This level of service was especially aggravating as the restaurant was about 25% full when we dined.
Our 2nd visit, won't be the last! We've been here for dinner and jazz brunch, both wonderful
The Music Venue was excellent!
The food was just average.
Let me start by saying the food was excellent, but the service was horrible. From the minute we walked in the entire staff seemed confused and discombobulated. The two owners/managers walked around drinking coffee and never stepped in to help or notice that their place was not running like a fined tuned machine. Our server told us that the bartender called off so she was playing two roles. However it was Sunday brunch and she was busy the entire time making drinks. This is where the owner should have put the coffee down, let her wait on table and been the bartender. We had ask anyone that went buy for salt, ketchup and a check. Because this was not the servers fault, we left her a 20% tip. The owners/managers really need to work within their business, get their staff trained and all working together. It was a very unpleasant environment. We went to have a nice brunch and listen to some jazz and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I strongly suggest the owners and managers take the time to have dinner down the street at Passaro. The minute you walk in your are greeted, everyone is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and working as a team. Hey Nonny could be a great experience, but they really need to tighten the front of the house up. The missed the spot on everything but the food.
Saturday’s brunch was delicious. Great menu choices. Bluegrass band was playing. They were good. It was loud and the hostess seated us in adjoining dining room. Gordon was an excellent server. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We went the Saturday of the Taste of Arlington Heights. Poor planning on our part because of tents blocking our views of the street and park across the street. Usually the front windows are opened wide to give you the feeling of dining on a large porch-like area. I enjoyed steak and eggs, along with great American fries. My friend had the Nonny Plate with eggs, bacon, pancakes, those great potatoes and toast. Bloody Mary had the right amount of spice to perk up your morning! We’ll go back.
Great brunch and music
Excellent burger! Great fun place for date night. A limited menu but they make everything (that I had at least) very well. Good cocktails as well
My first time. Loved it. Eilen Jewell And Band was fantastic!
Awesome environment and service!
Went for drinks and music. The band was excellent. Really enjoyed the evening listening to Irish Pub rock by Finger on the Trigger
Loved the food, live music and service was great. It was nice to sit by the open windows in the evening. Highly recommend.
We came with 4 adults / 5 kids and saw a great one-man band! The ambiance was great and windows open felt nice to hear live music and let the kids dance around. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is they offer a kids menu - but it's not targeted to kids. The grilled cheese is Gouda (and even my adventurous eaters don't like the taste) and the flatbread was not a 'pizza' It would be great if they developed a kid-friendly kids menu - we'd be there probably every weekend!
Great Sunday Bluegrass Brunch. Best cheesecake ever
The brunch was exceptional. I had the regular breakfast feast. Everything was perfect. My husband had the shrimp and grits. It was very flavorable but the shrimp was over cooked. We love dining here and it was our first time for brunch
Our server was absolutely fantastic. She was very friendly and quite attentive. Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name. The music from the Imperial Sound was great too. We had a fun night. I would definitely return.
A great place to hear music and have a fun night! Excellent stage and sound with excellent professional entertainers! A limited dinner menu that is too expensive!
Had Sunday brunch here and enjoyed the ambiance, but the blueberry french toast didn't live up to the hype. Surprisingly bland.
We decided to hit this newly opened restaurant in Arlington Heights for brunch on Saturday. The open-air walls and live music stage playing blue grass felt like summer with a splash of Nashville. The brunch menu had a full list of cocktails and the entrees looked intriguing and unique. My veggie burger was fantastic. It was covered in caramelized onions and tomato jam and came with a charcoal black wheat bun. I recommend this restaurant as part of your Chicago staycation.
Our group dined before the Mudmen show (Pink Floyd Band). I really enjoyed the gazpacho and walleye dinner, especially the roasted vegetables, perfectly seasoned. My dining mates’ burgers looked delicious and was confirmed by clean plates all around. Ryan took very good care of us. Seating manager for the music event was kind and experienced, and we thoroughly enjoyed the band and the venue. Will definitely return.
Very overpriced for what you get. Server wasn't very pleasant and didn't want to go over the menu. Food was mediocre at best- vegan burger, chicken wings, and calamari was not good, Nonny Burger was the best thing they had on the menu along with the combo board- nothing was very memorable. Ambiance wasn't great. They feature live music but you're separated from the live music part, but every time they open and close the door you can hear little pieces of it- that was LOUD and sporadic making it uncomfortable and annoying to listen to.
The food was amazing - very creative, beautifully plated, and delicious. The pacing of the food service could be better especially with the connection to the venue (a few steps away). We found we had to eat fast, which didn't due justice to the great meal we had. So - just need some improvement in pacing between the servers and the kitchen and it would be an impeccable experience!
We went early on a Sat and no problem getting a reservation. Menu is small and we both had the delicious hamburger. A gourmet one with gouda, small fried onions, lettuce, tomato, and absolutely delicious. Hand cut fries were not greasy and also excellent. Most everyone around us had hamburger too. We ate at a high top table inside and there was a modern vibe to the room. Outside seating was in the shade overlooking the park across the street. Only complaint was our service was very slow. Our waiter disappeared and seemed to be short of staff.
nice place to get a cocktail / beer / wine and enjoy live music my quality musicians.
Overall a great experience and the entertainment was phenomenal. The service was average. Had to wait 25 minutes for a second drink and the server just want very friendly or attentive. The food was a little pricey but delicious.
I had the very best walleye since I was in Minnesota. I will have that again and am eager to try the brunch.
The menu choices have been tweaked, so now many more options to choose from.
Excellent chicken and fish preparations.
We went to Hey Nonny for their jazz brunch on a Sunday. The entertainment was great, food was amazing and everyone loved the experience! Would definitely recommend for a friend!
Love everything about this place except one detail. When the big windows are open, which is wonderful and beautiful, if there's a group smoking at the venue next door it's like dining in the smoking section. Food, service and atmosphere are great.
Hey Nonnies is a find. It is a hot spot in the suburbs. We love it.
Great atmosphere with the background free live music! Brunch was relaxing and food was delicious.
We ate outside and listened to the music in the park. We had burgers and fries which were out of this world delicious. We then went inside and listened to more music. The staff is so engaging, the music is suburb, and it is always such a fun experience.
Food was super great, as was the ambience !
This is one of the best venues I have ever been in. I will be coming back again and again
Fathers Day was perfect.
Ken did a great job with our service he was very attentive.
Our food was awesome....
Parking was awesome got a spot right out the front door... which was a plus
The entertainment was excellent...
Many thanks for a great time!
My husband and I went to Father’s Day Jazz Brunch at 11:30 am. We reserved with a special note asking for ‘unobstructed view’, and received a confirmation phone call with that specification.
We were seated at the bar with the perfect line of view to the performance stage. The noise level was definitely too loud to fully appreciate the performers, but we were understanding as this was a ‘family-friendly’ event.
The brunch menu did not disappoint with creative culinary choices, and our selections arrived in a timely manner.
We will return for jazz brunch and other events, because it is in a great location with conveniently located parking, and a wonderful menu!
Great Music and Great Food in the burbs. Who would have thought. Thank you for filling the vacuum. Desperately needed. Not only filled the need but just killed it.
Fabulous server (Ken) -delicious food! Great music—especially Meg Hickman. Wowza.
We took our 85+ year-old parents to the jazz brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day and Fathers Day. It was very nice and they seemed to enjoy it. The musicians helped by taking their requests. We enjoyed it too. This was our second time, but our parents’ first. A quick thank you to hosts fir accommodating our request for low table in the room w the music for our parents’ special day.
