Everything was great, food, service attitude fantastic. too a little to much time for the first round of cocktails and the you need to do something about the noise level. Tables are nice but try putting table cloths over them.
Service and food were great but came for anniversary and couldn’t even have a conversation because it was so loud.
Tables weren't full but service was slow. Kept mentioning staff shortage. Filet mignon tender and cooked well. Ask for the demi glace on the side. The fried egg appetizer was awesome as well as the pumpkin soup.
The food was good. The only disappointment was initially being offered the worst table in the house despite having made a booking on OpenTable a few days before dining.
Good was amazing! Top notch. Atmosphere lacking in my opinion. Lighting too bright. Realize they were going for a Louisiana, southern feel, but it felt like a cafeteria. Rooftop bar I great. Hotel is beautiful. Loved the live music in the lobby.

We have been to HEW's many times and normally have a great experience. However, this last time was by far the worst. I made reservations several months ago for Valentine's Day and I expected a limited menu, as is normally the case for holidays. But the menu was SO restrictive. There were about 5 main options and not one of them included a chicken dish. And the only way you could get a steak is if you got a lobster tail with it (I can't eat seafood) or you got a $110 tomahawk steak. There wasn't even a salad option for first course. The menu was awful! Even my husband who normally gets the strip steak said it was awful.
This was my 2nd time here and it was the night before Valentines so it was pretty busy, loud & our food took 45 minutes once ordered.....looooong time! Also our table was so wobbly we help spilling our drinks every time we touched it. However, the food was great and our waitress was wonderful.

If you want good quality traditional chophouse food that has a nice modern twist this is the place. I have been here many time and it never disappoints. Menu is not large, so make sure you are in the mood for what they serve. But if you are, it is spot on delicious ever time. To be fair, I am not a fan of their desserts. They seem to be enamoured with deconstruction in this area and I for one and my wife for two are not impressed. I would reccomend the filet. We have had it many time and it is a cant miss! The side are all excellent..i am a fan of the grilled asparagus and the brussel sprouts but they have amazing mac and cheese as well as garlic mash. I have also hade the scallops and once again, they did change the presentation on this occasionally but it also never disappoints. In addition the hotel has an amazing roof top bar with excellent music in the lobby. A nice selection of wine and cocktails. I love HEW chophouse. Its so good I cant wait to go again!
Great food and it’s cool it’s in an old world style hotel. Great prices for good food.
we started at the inside bar and had a fabulous old fashioned. the dining room is cozy and comfortable. menu selections are plenty, as was the quantity of food. we had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were also delicious. the servers and staff were very friendly and attentive. overall a great experience and because we can walk there from our home we will visit often!
My husband and I were here for our Anniversary . The entire meal was awful .. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone . It was a great disappointment.
Food was excellent - service was just right. Shared the Tomahawk ribeye for two. Friends enjoyed the filet and fish. First had a cocktail at Hi-Fi, the rooftop bar to watch the sunset, then made our way to the Hew.
Overall, everything was great . If I could offer any advice?.... I am not sure why everyone wants to puts sauce on crispy duck so the fat gets soggy. No one wants to eat soggy fatty duck. And the sauce that comes with the beignets was cold and they were piping hot and too many seeds.
Food and service was great. The only recommendation I have is the lack intimacy and cafeteria like atmosphere. The finishes and fixtures are fabulous but creating a little of ambiance would go a long way.
Maybe installing screens of some sort on top of the knee walls where the booths back into.

It was a very good experience, we were there with friends for lunch. We were disappointed to find out that the roof top bar didn't open until 3 as we were going to have dessert there.
New Year’s Eve food was awful service not good in fact they told us not to pay the salad was the only thing we ate they knew how the food and service was and said there was no charge sorry
Went to Chophouse for NYE with friends. There was a set menu ($65-+100) which wasn't advertised. The meals were WAY overpriced for what you got. You had three options for dessert, but they were grapes or cheese or a DRY pastry. Service was lacking and we waited more than 20 minutes between courses. Getting the check also required patience as that was another 20 minutes. Overall a poor experience and I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.
This place never disappoints. The food was amazing, service was excellent and it's a great overall feel.

Started badly when we had to circle around to find the valet parking. Christmas decorations were very dull. Dining room was hardly decorated at all. Service in the dining hall (like a cafeteria) was good. Food was just dull, roast turkey and gravy was the best thing and that would be easily made at home. Chateau Briand steak was tender but woefully under seasoned. Everyone at the table (even wife who crabs about too much salt) had to salt. Baked asparagus was ok (I know I bake mine too.) Fish was ok but I just don't prefer fish for Christmas dinner. Drinks were ok but they took our orders for a 2nd drink 10 seconds before first course (delicious salad with lettuce, tomato and dressing.. oh we had to ask for a different dressing the viniagrette was well... dull.)
Then after mild grumbling about the $75 a plate price based on what was served, we repaired to the "Ball Room" for dessert. We started with coffee served cafeteria style (including the cups you might find in a cafeteria, no saucers.. saucers are for closers.) The coffee was ok flavor wise but I really prefer hot coffee. I'm not sure how long it sat with no heat but it was flat out cold. At this point the disappointment should have ended, hot coffee and creme brulee would have taken the edge off. Not to be outdone the creme brulee was cold. In the ballroom, zero Christmas decorations, just "Its a Wonderful Life" on the wall screen (no doubt played over and over all day.) We choose Christmas dinner to be special and memorable. It doesn't have to be perfect, but whoever was in charge of presenting this at Hew House didn't do a very good job.
The chefs at the Hue keep the menu interesting and flavorful. Most recently I visited on Christmas Day for a price-fixed family style menu. The portions were overly generous but everything was delicious and well prepared. I'm not a fan of the Ambiance and decor because it is loud and not in keeping with the hotel vibe. It feels Stark and cold. Servers experience varies. The bartending on the lobby level is terrific but order simple drinks or beers if you venture to the hi fi bar for sunset.,
For the price I would expect a table cloth at least.
The food was good but expensive for fixed price. When we got to ballroom at 5pm fir dessert there were only 2 pieces of pumpkin pie and cold coffee
The brandy dessert couldn’t be made because he was waiting for a missing ingredient. R u kidding?
Servers were not trained properly. Poor seating arrangements. food was ok not what was expected for the price.
EXTREMELY slow service for overpriced small portion, mediocre food. And the noise level was deafening. You know it's bad when you have to stop for a snack on your way home because you're still hungry after paying $100 for dinner. Never again.
Went for a combination birthday and Christmas Eve dinner. We’ve been before but I must say this was the best dining experience to date. The food choices and presentation just keeps getting better and better. Go see for yourself and enjoy!
Everything but the steak and Brussels sprouts was bland and boring, will not be back, many better places a few blocks away.
Unfortunately able to see food put up from kitchen to serving station. Food sat for uncomfortable periods of time prior to delivery to table. A restaurant that is trying to establish itself as a destination dining spot should not be playing Chubby Checker's Twist at volume. Soup was very good.
Brian is awesome. Best shaved ribeye omelette I’ve ever had. My favorite breakfast spot in town.
A few friends have a Christmas get-together every year. We usually go to The Vinoy decided to try the Fenway.The food was outstanding. Love the $5 drink specials! The hostess called me by name when we came up and was very friendly and accommodating. Our server Julie was outstanding. After lunch we went up to the rooftop to take in The View have a drink. We will definitely be back and recommended to our friends.
Our 26th Anniversary dinner was beyond our expectations! Our server, Brian, greeted us with champagne and an amuse Bouche. Our Tomahawk Ribeye was cooked to perfection and we were treated to complimentary dessert.
We came for the food and it surpassed our expectations. The service was impeccable! Brian was easily one of the best servers we’ve ever had. His timing was well executed and he never hovered yet always popped by just when we needed him.
The restaurant is sleek and well appointed. We had a perfectly romantic table for two and decided that next time we’ll mix it up and sit at the counter seating to watch the kitchen in action.
This experience was spectacular. I’m so glad we chose HEW for our special date.
My wife and I were in Clearwater overnight to see a show, and a friend recommended the Fenway Hotel. Based on reviews we decided to make a dinner reservation at HEW Parlor, just off the hotel lobby. We arrived in town early, so decided to have a light lunch there also. I had soup, she had a salad; both were delicious. We had an early, pre-show reservation, so ate a light dinner also. My wife had a beef dish, which she enjoyed. I opted for a shrimp-and-polenta appetizer after confirming with our server that it was large enough to be a small meal. It was awesome and a perfect size; had some roasted sweet corn kernels sprinkled on it, and the flavor combination was great. The chefs here are the real deal, and this restaurant was clearly the highlight of the hotel for us. If I lived in the area, I could happily become a regular there.
I was here at the Fenway as a guest of the hotel with my daughter and Grandson. After my falling in love with the beet salad we decided to graze and order appetizers and additional sides to fully enjoy the quality of the food and presentation prepared by the chef. Everything we ordered was outstanding! The server was very friendly but very frenetic in her style and along with the restaurant being so loud acoustically during dinner I was actually looking forward to most guests leaving to hear myself. We enjoyed the food so much 5 of us went back the following day for brunch. The food did not disappoint! Server training is needing attention. Might help to have tablecloths in evening with some of the noise and coziness. A Som would bring up your wine sales 👍🏻
