   Our dinner at Het Stuivertje was delightful. Warm and friendly service is always a plus when visiting another country and this restaurant made us feel very welcome! Our Serrano ham with melon (we shared) was the perfect start to a wonderful dinner. The wine list was well matched to the cooking . My husband ordered the roasted chicken and found it to be cooked and seasoned perfectly, an excellent example of Dutch comfort food. My vegetarian ravioli in brown butter garlic sauce was fine but somewhat bland and al dente for my tastes. It would not stop me from another visit when next in Amsterdam😊 Overall, an excellent place to dine in Amsterdam.

   While the name is not easy for an English speaker, I would recommend Het Stuivertje to others looking for a fine casual meal in Amsterdam. We chose it after carefully reading the various reviews - what sold us was the reply to a "no taste" review. The manager replied that good or bad, the food certainly is tasty. The ambience includes wood tables an adequate distance apart, cloth napkins, no tablecloths, a view to the kitchen. Service was fine, the manager quite personable. One of the chefs brought out a plate, explaining what it was. We started with a fine white asparagus soup and a steamed artichoke, I had a small chicken or squab, perfectly done on a bed of varied tasty vegetables, my companion ravioli with a sauce that the chef explained. It too had nice vegetables - tiny brussel sprouts, carrots included. We look forward to returning.

   Quaint local Dutch restaurant, lovely staff however food was a little disappointing.

   Very warm and cosy. Food was really delicious. Service super friendly and outstanding. Our second time there.

   Bij het Stuivertje word je teruggeworpen naar de jaren 60.Veel flessen en kurken,geen klanten,maar een aardige kok en een iets te aanwezige serveerster.De risotto was gewoon goed,maar de prijzen mogen naar beneden en de kurken/flessen in de container!Een grappige ervaring.

   Located on a quiet back street in the Jordan district, this bistro offers a nice selection of dishes that are generally well prepared. It is a very simple setting with a partially open kitchen and very helpful and friendly service. The wine list is fairly priced. Changes to listed ingredients are willingly made. There are vegan dishes as well as fresh fish and meat selections. My bass was well cooked and my fish cake/calamari appetizer was delicious. Service was a bit slow considering that this smallish restaurant was basically empty.

   Perfect from the moment we walked in. Excellent service, great food and very good menu selections. Perfect place for anyone looking for a great authentic Dutch meal away from the tourist areas.
