Food was great. Service was so, so. Asked for another beer (4) as it was tasty, and doing staycation, didn’t have to worry about driving. Instead of another beer we got our check. Oh well, went to The Street and enjoyed $2 beers
Great service! Food good but not outstanding. Fish was a dry and over cooked.
We had the best time at Herringbone. We haven’t stopped talking about the fries! Yum! And the Edamame Hummus was the best dip we’ve ever had. Perfect for a date night or to share with a group of friends. We will definitely be back!
Loved this place! We went for a 40th Birthday celebration. We sat on the patio and the ambiance was 10/10. I had the filet mignon and it was the hands down best filet mignon I’ve ever had. I’ll be back.
Herringbone is a must for a dinner in Waikiki. This was our fourth meal in the last 6-8 weeks and the reason is the attractive combination of excellent food, great service and a nice ambiance. It's clearly a favorite with residents as well as tourists and we think it is well deserved. We've sampled most of the small plates and all are excellent. Last time we also tried the grilled fish and it came out nice and flaky, moist and flavorful. Our server, Jimmy, was excellent --- attentive and responsive, knowledgeable about the menu and the wines, friendly without overtalking as some waiters tend to do. The place has a great vibe, which makes it good for a night out whether one couple, two or a large group.
Our waitress was completely unforgiving for our one year old son who started to have a melt down right after we placed our order. We told her we needed to go within 2 minutes of ordering she said she couldn’t cancel the order and that it was already ready to go (how seven dishes and fresh fish are immediately ready to be served is questionable to me) so they would have to box it up and charge us anyway. Looks like she just wanted to make money off of us, as I find it ridiculous they couldn’t cancel our order. Lucky her: she got her money without having to serve anyone. What a joke. Also, if you have any kind of food restrictions, this restaurant cannot accommodate you unless you want hummus, and nothing else. Really disappointing. Would never recommend or return here.
Exceptional seafood. Service excellent. Good ambiance I would recommend without reservation
We went out for our long-overdue Birthday celebrations and chose Herringbone because of it beautiful ambience and fantastic seafood. We were quite happy the whole night. Food is amazing and eclectic and the service is perfect.
I had the catch of the day with miso glaze and it was one of the best meals I ever had. It was perfectly done and the vegetables were very fresh. Love this place
Our first visit to Herringbone was pleasant and satisfying. Every dish was at least good, and several were great including the Yellowtail Crudo, Poke Flatbread, and Furikake Fries. The price was a little higher than the quality of food warranted, likely due to the location in the International Marketplace. I will likely visit again for special occasions.
The service is great but made the mistake of ordering the
Great atmosphere! Our server was awesome and the restaurant/kitchen staff were amazing!
The food is amazing. Service is good. Atmosphere even better.
Food was okay. We were celebrating two birthdays, which was noted in the reservation, and did not receive a complimentary dessert. Very disappointing for such a beautiful restaurant.
The food was good- The main dishes were uninspiring so we ordered small plates. Roasted crispy Brussels sprouts were the standout; Buffalo octopus and shrimp n grits were good, Caesar salad was unsalted with no salt on the table, and tuna tacos were totally bland.
The service was bizarre- cold and hot dishes all came at once, before she brought the wine.
Overall a good experience but there must be better places in Honolulu. I would recommend only with reservations.
Had a wonderful time with my family. The kids enjoyed the food.
Service was great and the food was delicious
First time there and it was an awesome experience! Awesome service, delicious food, lovely ambiance and great company! Our favorite was the Fried Whole Opakpaka. So simple and delicious, our favorite dish of the evening.
Excellent service! Tasty!
Service and food were good. Drinks were good as well. Poke Flatbread was awesome. As others mentioned portions are small for price. Tomahawk pork chop was just one regular sized pork chop. Food delivery very slow. Cool decor in restaurant.
It was perfect to sit at the Lanai.
I ate the yellowtail crudo, BBQ(?) octopus and sailboat that is a collection of seafood such as lobster, oyster, king crab, shrimp.
The food is a little expensive, but the seafood is very fresh and the sauce tastes is good. If you're in Waikiki, it's worth a visit.
The food and the service are amazing !! But every portions were small...
Awful. Wont ever be back. Cannot recommend this place to anyone I know.
We ate here for Easter brunch. They were out of King Crab legs and Octopus because they were super busy the night before. They added more shrimp in our Skiff instead which was fine. Our waiter was nice and gave us a Kamaina discount on the bill. I love that they use paper straws in their drinks and paper bags for take home containers but the containers aren't recyclable so that's something they can hopefully change.
The food is amazing and the service with Jimmy was pretty good! Cocktails are awesome - but make sure to ask less ice :)
Excellent wait staff. Ceviche was especially delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Herringbone. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. Their happy hour was a great value. The bartenders certainly know their stuff. Our waiter was very accommodating and helpful. We would eat here all the time.
Everything from the service to the food was excellent. Only thing , I wish the portions were bigger, food was ono
Amazing food and great ambiance!
It was really nice that they gave my mom a little bday cake and candle
We had to wait a while to get our food. They did comp us a couple of shrimp on a bed of grits which was very good. The poke on flat bread was also very good but our main meal was just ok. Other than the wait, the service was good. The ambience was nice. I’d recommend to try.
Service was excellent. Most of the food was really tasty - loved the Shrimp & Grits - but Tomahawk was unevenly cooked, and Buffalo Tako sauce overpowered the taste of the Tako.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Herringbone. Will definitely return in the future. Our server Lauren was awesome and gave great recommendations.
The food was AMAZING!!! The service was fabulous, I would highly recommend Herringbone. Absolutely Devine.
Ordered Fish Tacos the fish was very dry and bland. Tortilla was wet on the bottom.
Good service...food quality good...portions embarrassingly small...half a small lobster...4 shrimp...half a crab leg...no sides...$85...salmon was small...couple veggies..:$38...we left and got something to eat at the hotel
