This establishment has never disappointed us. Excellent food, great service. If I have any complaint, it's that the noise level is too high with the music, making it very difficult to have good conversation. I had the scallops and they were pure perfection.

Everything fit the mold of a super hipster high-end eating establishment with small plates, minor mention of local fair, great staff, great wine, cocktails, and the food was excellent. The ambiance was good positive energy.

The only thing.... when we asked if the black cod/ sablefish entree on the menu was from Alaska, we were told it was from the Atlantic side of the US. Are sablefish actually distributed on the east coast?

I would recommend that Herringbone provide their customers, visitors with more detail on where the food is coming from with as much detail as possible, add this information to the menu. I didn’t see any local California shrimp that was a slight disappointment.

That being said I would visit this place again and recommend it for an awesome date night experience or an evening out with friends.

Amazing Food! We ordered the Local Ceviche so good we ordered a second one as an app.. One of us ordered the scallops, one shrimp, and the other flatbread pizza and shared a blackberry torte - ALL AMAZING!!! Jasmine iced tea as great flavor can’t wait to take my next guest!!!

Dinner great. Signature cocktails? Meh. Maybe they just forgot to put gin in The cucumber mint lemon drink whose name escapes me. And the Chenin Blanc glass - good with scallops but nothing great on its own.

Regular cocktails great.
Roasted carrots, great.
Scallops, cauliflower salad: both great.

Ahí poke- an amusement but the chip is super salty.

The Saturday lunch menu was extremely limited. Other than that the food and service were okay. There was loud live music, which was annoying.

Overall it was a nice place for a special dinner date with my husband. Our waiter started out attentive but as soon as tables were seated, we lost him. Our drink took forever as well as paying our bill. Our bill for two was $150+, so I would think he would be more attentive, but nope. Oh! The local (?) singer was horrible! It was awful t listen too. Oh! The table next to us “knew” a cook so they got lots of perks. Lucky them... not us... just another table in the mix. Sucks because we know the owner
