Grilled Shrimp Taco

Guacamole, Salsa & Chips
8oz guacamole | 8oz sala | chips
The food was great (birria queso tacos and avocado fries were too good) and the outdoor seating area was really pleasant. The cocktails were decent too but were a little pricy for what it was. I will definitely be back for the food again!
Glad I found a great spot in Sawtelle. Great food, great service, great drinks. What more can you ask for?
We were 7, so I got to taste lots of different items. The meat in the tacos was as tough as leather...Really cheap quality! Overall the food was one of the worst we have ever had! And it is VERY expensive!
Definitely not going back.
The drinks and ambiance are good but the food is gross with small portions and very expensive
Overpriced, food went great. Drinks were good! Was given. Slanted table in an alley, but the tables in other parts of the restaurant likely to have good ambiance.
A really fun experience and my tacos were great but how can you be out of avocado and guacamole at the peak of the season! It would also be great if they had a chicken or vegie taco option. My hubby ordered a bowl with chicken and a side of tortillas to make tacos. Hmmmm. We will go back but hope they can add more taco options.
It was okay I love ambiance but really worth visiting again.
We had so much fun! They were so helpful in accommodating our large group and felt well taken care of throughout the night.
My partner and I came to Hermanito for date night. We were really impressed with the menu, it was not very extensive but not small either, I felt comfortable with my options and we didn't feel overwhelmed! Their drinks list is amazing and there are so many fun things to try! I really enjoyed the clear Japanese-Mexican Fusion and the pairing was fantastic! The ingredients blended well together and I cannot wait to go back for another round! The staff was incredibly nice, and everyone wore their masks which I greatly appreciated. I definitely recommend this location for a fun, exciting, and playful date night!
Excellent, creative cuisine with great cocktails in a fun unique, trendy setting. Will go back to sample rest of menu!
Service was quick and the server was nice.
Super cute outdoor seating.
Food was very yummy (but a bit pricey).
Payment is done on your phone so you can pay and leave whenever you are ready.
Just a really great great place to grab a solid dinner🙌🏼
Drinks are great, wine selection good and not too expensive, and the new outpay touchless system works well
Great spot with delicious food and very solid cocktails. Only came for brunch and it was fantastic. Will come back to try dinner soon
Great spot, great food, touchless payment which was cool. 10/10 recommend.
Great food and drinks! Highly recommended, tacos are awesome!
SO SO good. Amazing for a date night. Birra tacos are a must.
Only downside was having to sign up for some online payment thing that didn’t work for us. Other than that, food was delicious! Service was pretty solid and quick. Will go back for more!
It was nice however there’s a pay in advance situation in which they never tell you the bill is being closed out etc. you give your card at the beginning and that’s the end of it… tip is included as well. Aside from not knowing what was happening with the bill, everything was perfect.
Yummy food and great service! Only one issue, lots of flies in the back patio area.
Everything was lovely. Super good food, tasty drinks, unbelievably friendly (and super dog-friendly!) service. Will be back.
I came here with my friend we had a great time , good cocktails and food the beef tacos were “ok “ not what I expected as in presentation . I don’t think I would order them again but the other was great . I would come back again .
Delicious food and drinks and excellent service.
First time visiting Hermanito and would absolutely recommend to friends and family. Great food and ambience and the service was fantastic!
I had brunch there with some friends this past weekend. We sat on the back patio which was lovely, but there was no Breeze, so it got very hot. They would do better with a fan or two to help keep us cool. It’s not fun to eat when you’re sweating! That being said, the food was delicious and everything tasted very fresh and flavorful.
Busy and fun place. Slight delay in seating for our reservation was efficiently handled.
Went here spontaneously as our usual place was packed, and so glad we did!! Neighborhood gem with super creative Mexican-Japanese fusion.
PROS: nicely designed space, great cocktails, great food including some of the best chicken wings and guac in the city.
CONS: service was spotty. Our server took 20 min just to take our drinks order and completely forgot our request for water refill. We also booked a resi for outside but it was so packed it would have taken another 30 min to be seated.
Overall great though and will return.
Loved the Tlayuda and classic margarita at brunch!
Menu stops at 2pm on weekends
Great food, decor and ambiance, great service - will definitely return! Highly recommend!
Great vibe and good drinks. Service was uninspiring, but not enough that it ruined the experience.
Love the atmosphere of Hermanito, the Japanese Mexican fusion food is delicious, and it’s in a great part of LA. Highly recommend for good food and drinks
I had a lovely evening with friends at Hermanito. Drinks and food were delicious and the service was wonderful.
Great first visit to Hermanito. The elote and ceviche were fantastic, and the cocktails were also. Service was very friendly, and the decor was simple and cute. It was kind of pricey, especially if you’re drinking cocktails, but you know that going in. It will just keep me from going more often, but I’d definitely go again.
Very interesting and unique restaurant. The food was AMAZING and they were very considerate of my peanut and gluten allergies.
The food was amazing. I’m looking forward to going back!
This was maybe my 5-6 time coming here and this time around it was (unfortunately) a disappointing experience. I made a reservation and when we were brought to our table they sat us along the side section, where only one other table was sitting. There was no vibe and the chair was so uncomfortable. We walked past at least 10 open 2 tops in the main areas, so I asked if we could move. Didn’t seem like they wanted to (even with so many open tables) and they mentioned other reservations are at those tables, which made no sense considering we also had a reservation. After 10 minutes they ended up moving us but at that point it just felt uncomfortable. In terms of the food, the tacos were good but the Taco Tuesday special has gone down hill even from a few months ago. You now only get Tecate which is total crap (instead of the choice of beer or a daily cocktail special) and just a horrible shot of tequila. We then got the avocado fries (not that great, really heavy and you feel uncomfortably full after eating 2). Then the wings, which completely lacked flavor, and had a lot of nasty fat in the chicken were a huge disappointment. We’ve definitely loved Hermanito in the past but this time around was such a bummer. Even though it started off rough, we had high hopes that it would still be a good experience, however it continued to go down hill.
Wait for our food took over an 1 hour, they weren’t willing to accommodate a simple change in the menu (omit rice, scrambled eggs vs over easy) worst Father’s Day brunch.
I am so disappointed. I can name at least 20 places with better food and ambiance.
Wait staff is unbelievably friendly, awesome food unexpectedly in the heart of little osaka
