About this restaurant

Heritage in Reno, Nevada is located inside the Whitney Peak Hotel. Aside from its beautiful surroundings (both inside and outside of the hotel), this restaurant has become known for its list of craft beers and the appropriately named �huge tots�, which may be big enough to count as an entr�e for many. The interior at Heritage is a juxtaposition of reclaimed woods, industrial steel and lots of native plants. Similarly, the menu at Heritage is equally diverse. Try the caramelized onion tart. It�s made with fontina cheese, caramelized onion, prosciutto, figs, fresh spinach and balsamic vinegar on top. On the other hand, if you want something more traditional, there�s the chicken picatta amongst many other options.

Awesome place, awesome food, awesome service, I will be back! New Year's Trip from San Francisco....loved the ambiance....you can even take kids (well behaved of course) Is already in my list!

I was surprised to find a modern, chic place in Reno. We stayed in the Whitney Peak Hotel where this place is and had breakfast - which was terrific. Another night we had dinner, which was just OK. While the service is great (slow for this NY'er but that's typical), the food is not seasoned that great. My squash soup tasted like blended squash and that's it. The crab pasta salad was ok. Plenty of crab with a nice, spicy kick but it wasn't tasty. My husband got the whole trout and it was fishy. The food was NOT bad, but it was just "fine." Again, breakfast was great!

We got a group together that we normally do once a year to visit and catch up around the holidays. We chose this location as most of us had yet to try it and wanted to venture out. We were pleasantly surprised by the overall ambiance, decor, food, etc.

We went early so it was pretty dead and felt rather uninviting. However, the hostess and our waitress were both extremely friendly and made us feel much more welcome. The food was great though the French fries tasted very off, as if they were made from fake potatoes so I couldn't eat them. I recommend their mac and cheese dish.

Excellent service. A very industrial feel. A bit noisy. Although the portions were quite small, they were very tasty and presented well. The wine was marked up to high for my taste. Lots of attention to bacon and pig products but of course who doesn't like bacon. I would recommend this restaurant to any foodie.

The service was awesome. Spencer, our waiter, was friendly, funny and couldn't say enough great things about working at Heritage. He definitely made our brunch even that much more enjoyable.

We stayed at the Whitney Peak Hotel, and Heritage is located at the ground floor of the hotel. There are many options to choose from...you can pick several options from their small plate menu (good for sharing), or you can order from the more traditional menu. We ordered from the traditional menu one night and the small plate menu the next night. All of the dishes were nicely presented and very tasty. The portion sizes were just right (in other words, not so big that we left feeling overly full). Our server was Cody, and he was helpful and cheerful. We will definitely go back to Heritage.
