Hereford House - Leawood
Great steaks, good service, very accommodating.
Good as always.
Valentine’s Day one day late. Excellent service by Eli and the food was pronominal !
I love visiting Hereford House. The food is outstanding. The steaks are so incredibly tender and the side dishes have incredible flavor. We truly enjoy the calamari. It is so light and crispy and fried just right so they don't seem filled with oil. The only thing I would add would be more cherry peppers. There never seems to be more than like 2 pieces in the entire appetizer. The servers are always extremely attentive and very friendly.
Tough to accommodate a high demand on Valentine’s Day
Food over cooked. Could not correct as they ran out of steak. Waited on drinks. Very poor
We had a nice Valentines dinner at Hereford House Leawood. We were seated promptly at a nice table. The Waitress was very nice and helpful. But after our salads were served, we waited almost 50 minutes for our entrees. And when they finally arrived, my wifes steak was literally cold. It had a great flavor but it was cold. And, they were completely out of their house dressing at 7:30 on Valentines day. She wasn't going to say anything to our waitress because we didn't want to ruin an otherwise lovely evening.
But, we will return again.
The food, as always was very good. The service was fine, considering it was Valentines Day, but it took for ever for our food to be served. Again, I understand that because of the holiday, but from the time we ordered until it was set before us was 1:15, which is a bit excessive. But we love Hereford House and will be back for sure.
The food was great but we waited a long time in between courses and getting our check.
It was our first time there and I was so disappointed. Unfortunately the food quality was like a cheap diner. I had to ask for a different entree because my steak was so hard I couldn’t cut or chew it. The two bites I tried didn’t have any flavor. The server was very polite so I’m giving it a 2 star rating.
Dined for Valentines Day and my fiancée and I loved every bit of our evening. Seated within 10 ‘minutes, server was very attentive throughout the entire meal and food was brought out very timely! The food was absolutely delicious and hot when arrived at the table! My salmon fell apart and mashed potatoes were very fluffy with tons of flavor. My fiancée enjoyed his bacon wrapped tenderloins which were very juicy and full of flavor. Dessert was also delicious with the brownie a la mode! Will be back for many more special occasions ☺️
it took a hour to get our food, which that was not the server fault. They over booked for Valentines day, Could not keep up with the over booked crowd
Awesome Valentine's dinner with my hubby and friends! Great food and service...perfect.
We were impressed with the speed of service on a busy Valentine's night.
Love the stuffed mushrooms.
The food selection, service, & ambiance for Valentine's day was great. The restaurant had a specific selection for a 4 course meal that was reasonably priced. Worth going for a celebration.
We had a Valentines dinner. Our server was delightful, I am sorry I didn't get her name.
I usually don't care for steak, but the steak medallions were great and we had leftovers
on Fri. Had a great evening.
Server was exceptional, food was great, noise level higher than would be expected for a nice restaurant, quieter wood have been nice but open kitchen contributes to elevated noise levels.
The Hereford House at Town Center is the best steakhouse in town! Excellent food & service ! We highly recommend this place!
Great food and very good service. Always a good value.
Terrible. Appetizers took 40 minutes, wine was gone by then and steak was rare, not medium like I ordered. Not a picky guy and I don’t send food back. I shouldn’t have to for a $110.00 bill...
My wife and I were very pleased with the location, mood, our service and the menu selections. Herefored House - Leawood was a very nice Valentine's experience. We will be back soon.

We had an enjoyable dinner. Great value, pleasant ambiance, and very good service.
Customer service great. Food great! Atmosphere wonderful
My guest enjoyed his burger; I wasn’t as pleased with chicken pot pie as I have before. Was more like the bottom of the pot of chicken soup.
What a great evening!! Great food, great atmosphere!! We had the dinner for two....thought it was a great value. And Mark, our server did a wonderful job of timing our meal.....attentive but not hovering...enough time to finish one course and didn't wait long for the next one. All considered we had an outstanding experience.
Hereford House is our favoryplace to eat. The food is delicious and the staff is professional and friendly. It's always an exception dinner experience!
All good,my wife’s prime rib was over cooked, they took care of it quickly and all was fine.
Overall this is a good steak house. Good cocktails, wine list. However we ordered a bottle of white wine and when the server brought it, he brought it without a chiller. Requested a chiller and the server said he would get it right away.....and never came back. I had to get up and ask a manager to get us a chiller. No excuse for this. Server was good but seemed very busy and distracted. The steak was cooked correctly and very tasty. However I ordered the special strip with the porcini mushroom seasoning for $1 more than the normal strip. Glad it was only a dollar as it was a butter infused....that simply tasted like butter. My wife had the salmon. Also good but....heavy on the salt. Last thing, the restaurant has done a great job clearly identifying GF items on their menu. So overall good but not great.
It was a bday celebration. The bill came in with extra charges not explained in menu or by a waiter. Part of the bill we paid with gift card, we had $10 coupon. Somehow we supposed to know the card was from Costco and somehow it was already a discount and we couldn’t use a coupon. Total BS. Don’t issue coupons, sell gift cards at discount and maybe you are not going to loose clients. Plenty of steak houses in KC. Definitely not going back as our choice
Very good food, a little pricey but good for what you pay. Our only qualm was with the service, both on the host side and the server side. When we first walked in, the hostess ignored us for a good 45+ seconds before acknowledging us and asking us how many we had in our party. No smile, no greeting really. Very cold. The rest of the experience was fine, but our server was VERY spacey. She had to come back a couple of times to ask what our sides were, because she kept forgetting to write it down. At the end of the meal, she gave us a pen that had just exploded inside her pocket for us to sign the receipt with. So my husband and I got black ink all over our hands.
Again, the food was great. We just didn't have a great experience with the staff.
Everything was amazing from the food to the service! Thank you for a wonder evening!!
I can always depend on Hereford House having the best service, atmosphere and outstanding menu selections!
Steaks were just ok. Not good enough for the price.
Food and service were excellent. Can't wait to go back.
We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with friends. We had a party of 8 and they gave us a private room! It was very nice to be able to close the doors and have it feel more intimate. It might have been a little too loud if we had been in the main restaurant.
The server was sweet but accidentally poured 2 glasses of tea on one of our guests. His whole right side was soaked. She apologized profusely and didn't charge us for the 4 teas that were ordered. It would have been nice for her not to charge us for his meal.
Great food and service as always.
Good food and great service...
We took advantage of their Sunday Supper pot pie for $15 and added salads and wine. We ate in the bar while watching the end of the Pro Bowl. Our salads were crisp and delicious and the pot pie nice and thick with a flaky pastry on top. It could have been warmer, however. Our server was very helpful and pleasant. A nice evening.
Our experience started off rough from the beginning. Upon entering the building and telling the hostess our name and reservation, we were then taken to be seated with another party. When we were confused and said that wasn’t our party, she acted disgruntled. We went back to the hostess stand, where another hostess told us she couldn’t find our reservation. I showed them our confirmation email and we were seated. We then followed dinner up with frozen lettuce in my salad, raw salmon, over cooked steak and twice baked potatoes that could be used as murder weapons they were so hard. Upon speaking with the manager, he apologized and as requested removed the salmon from our bill. I was somewhat disappointed to see he hadn’t done much else once our bill arrived.
Herford House must survive on the name they build year ago because they sure aren’t delivering a good product now.
