Had dinner and brunch, both had great food. Herbs is new, so still staffing issues. I’m patient because North Garland needs a decent bar, brunch and dinner place. Everyone, please try it!
We went for ladies night. There wasn’t enough servers to accommodate the crowd. Our water glasses were empty for a long time; we had to flag someone down for a refill. Also, there are no salt and pepper shakers on any of the tables. The others in my party ordered wings with ranch dressing ; they were surprised when the check arrived that they were charged for the small cup of ranch.
We were seven for dinner and all of us enjoyed it. That in itself is a miracle. We will definitely return and it will be often.
I have been here twice now and I love everything about it. On Father's Day, they were understaffed and that's why the lower mark on service. Most of them worked their butt's off to get through it. Our Server was also the bartender and he was a bit too overwhelmed with drink orders to also have tables. I will be back, though!
Only my second time at Herbs, and the service has been blah......from greeters to server (second visit) I had made an reservation @ noon for 6:30pm. We arrived at 6:25 and was told to take a seat that it would take 20 minutes........we were seated at 7:15. We eventually had 2 servers approach us for drinks. They actually sat a party of 2 before us so my husband made mention.......they ended up pulling them back and sat us at a completely different table. Love the food, love the music , love the atmosphere but the service is horrible!!!!
We were a party of 11 and had one server. It took us 2-1/2 hours and we only had basically appetizers
and drinks. The food was great, but service was just too slow.
We really enjoy the food here, very good quality and well prepared.
We went on a Saturday night at about 8 and where the ONLY table. The waitress and her trainee were very helpful with food selection, but the meal was just average. Cocktails were pretty good, but priced similar to other (busier) North Dallas restaurants. I would suggest using their big beautiful bar as a way to get people into the restaurant by having lower priced drinks.
I guess for this area, it’s a pretty decent place, but I could definitely drive another 5-10 minutes and find better food... BUT, if you need a quite place to meet with friends for business... this is your place!
Our server was absolutely great but they were short staffed and she was forced to run around a lot. Everything was just backed up overall. It would make a difference if they’re able to get a couple more people to work there during the busier times
Our Friday evening at Herbs Social was wonderful. We dined on the patio, where we were able to enjoy conversation and hear the live music inside at the same time. Our server went above and beyond to keep us full and happy. All of our dishes satisfied to the fullest- especially the sweet potato dumplings that accompanied the pork chop. We will definitely go back!
Great atmosphere and food...friendly service...our host Travis was very welcoming...
If you enjoy mediocre live music piping too loudly through a busted speaker, waiting 45 minutes for iced tea (that is unexaggerated and we should have left at this point but had a baby to feed and no other reservation on the night many were celebrating Valentine Day), missing an entire entrée and a side item at your table because it was not put in....then this is a dining experience for you!
Then one would think that after expressing your frustration with an experience such as this, that you would have the manager come to the table and offer some sort of compensation.
We received neither! We were approached by whom we thought was a manager (which we later learned he was not and was apparently just trying to assist) and he simply deducted the items we never received from our ticket.
This experience was such a shame! We tried it when it first opened and left there raving about the food, drinks and service/greeting that we received form multiple staff members.
But tonight? Tonight we were greeted by a waitress who was unsure if anyone had taken our drink order or even of what our table number was. And left there with a few hungry people who never got their food!
If there was more servers and true management attempting to aid the lack of servers, I am sure the experience would have been better. There was literally 2 servers for the entire restaurant. Management had little or no involvement. We had to solicit a server in ordering and the bartender put my mimosa in a short "brandy" glass, that was only 1/4 full when I could clearly see champagne glasses on the bar top that were clean. I felt as if they were "saving" the champagne. I felt cheated.
Comfy and beautiful seating. Went on a Tuesday night and very quiet. Lots of TVs. Think chic sports bar?! Hubby loved his steak and our server was very attentive. A downside was my Cuban was very cold. Replaced it with a “hot damn” and that was great! I would try them again in case it was an fluke/off night.
Food was cold....took forever and there was only 4 tables in the restaurant...it was brunch.I am not impressed.
First time to dine at Herb's. Went for Sunday brunch. Food was very good. The tenderloin benedict was very tasty. A side order of biscuits were great! Fluffy pancakes and good coffee. Our server, Travis, was very cordial and fun. Ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Music was way too loud to enjoy conversation with dining partner. Looking forward to returning to try the dinner menu.
Location out of the way - parking really bad - nice seating areas - too loud for much conversation - food was quite good - service pleasant but the obvious evidence it is a new place; sort of slow for the crowd; our waiter seemed to be the bartender; a side came out way before the entree with which it was to accompany; four of our five entries came out while we waited for the fifth. Are still considering a second trip to see if some of these things are worked out.
We love our new local hangout!
Great brunch! Looking forward on becoming a regular customer.
We went for brunch. Get location, price and vibe.
Fantastic place!! I live in The Mansions and invited a few of my girlfriends for Ladies Night!! I was so impressed with the service and the quality of food and atmosphere!!
Great brunch menu. The food was excellent and the staff really took good care of us.
We had a great time. Wii definitely return. Very reasonable.
This is a great new spot in Garland! We went at 11am on Sunday, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the pancake battered french toast, talk about fat kid happy food! The breakfast potatoes were very yummy as well. The biscuits and gravy were different than a typical southern white cream gravy, but a must try for those who are willing to "think outside the food box". Also, the portion sizes were spot on, no tiny pieces of toast or mini biscuits here! Overall, the meal was very impressive, and a great brunch to start the day. My only recommendation would be to serve the maple syrup warm with the french toast, but I'm nit-picking at that point. They are also set up to have live music, and hopefully in the future will have some artists playing live more. We will definitely be back!
Our dinner and cocktails were excellent, and the price is amazing! The lights were a little bright for dinner, and the numerous TV screens seemed to be a bit much. That’s the only complaint. We will DEFINITELY be back!
Went for brunch and it was our first time at Herb’s. Definitely will return! We had the chicken and biscuit, French toast, and the American. Everything tasted fantastic. I have picky eaters and they loved it. The was delicious, I think one of the best I have ever eaten, and the chicken was yummy, especially with the batter they used. This is a hidden gem with a cozy fun atmosphere. Can’t wait to try dinner at Herb’s.
We had a great time having brunch at Herb’s the food was great and so was the service!
First time going out with family on Thanksgiving. Had a beautiful buffet with great food and desserts!
Stopped in for brunch and it was absolutely delicious 👌👌
Complimentary brunch from my Apt community, but I ordered pancake with bacon, but no bacon. I was told by the waitress that they stop serving bacon at a certain time. It started at 10am, my order went in st 10:45. WTW? This is Texas! Who runs out of or stops serving bacon? I wasn't offered another option, so I asked for potatoes and got a few tablespoons. C'mon man! Nice spot, but c'mon man!
Great food! Great service! A new joint and definitely glad we tried it. Will definitely be back to try more items from the menu or just for a casual night of drinks!!
The food was disappointing, under seasoned and basic, the menu I felt was missing key options for breakfast/brunch like true eggs Benedict and waffles/French toast. The menu is 75% coffee and alcohol and the rest are odd meals, nothing immediately desirable.
Herb's Social is a great new spot with an appetizing menu and wonderful atmosphere. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a new place to have good eats and a pleasant environment.
