   The food was amazing! While we did have dinner during an event evening (Janet Jackson concert) our service was not great. We ordered an appetizer with our drinks and we never received it. Our server only checked on us a few times. We got our dinner and our server didn't check on us until we were almost done eating. The tables around us were checked in on so often but we were forgotten. Again, the food was amazing but this is the 4th time I have been to Herbie's and I don't think I will be back because of the service.

   We were there prior to a show at Xcel Energy so anticipated that it would be busy. The noise level made it very hard to hear across the table but worse was it took a half hour from arrival time to get our first drink. The crab cake I ordered was barely warm--fries were pretty good, salad was unremarkable. Can't beat the convenience but will think twice before going there to eat. Staff kept saying she couldn't help it...no apology--just that it couldn't be helped. The wait staff were working their tails off--perhaps they overbooked?

   The food was okay but if I am paying $125 (without tip) for two lunch meals, I expect exceptional. We both ordered the filet mignon. Mine with creamed corn dish and my guest with fries. The creamed corn was not very tasty. The steak was not anything to rave about. The service was not a positive. We were trying to enjoy a leisurely lunch and talk about things. Twice in a ten minute period the bartender tried to clear out plates and the waitress tried once. There were dozens of empty tables and no one waiting to sit down to eat. It felt like you only get twenty minutes to eat and then move on. With the competition out there, I see no reason to go back.

   We ordered the sirloin steak and the roasted chicken breast, the steak was medium rare and came medium well, it was a tough piece of steak. The roasted chicken breast was dry and overcooked. The pasta that came with the chicken breast was very good. The service was great!

   For the Mother's Day Brunch was not up the normal standards of the resturant. In the past, the meals were excellent. In the future, we will avoid the special deals.

    We had a fabulous lunch at Herbie’s after my son’s graduation ceremony at the River Centre. Sandwiches were tasty and the ambiance is perfect for a celebratory gathering. Waiters were attentive and friendly. We had a great overall experience!

    Menu was fine but leaned pretty heavy. Super loud with no noise dampening. Chaotic with folks on time crunches getting to opera. Our server did her best but her load was crazy

    We Weber for dinner before the opera and the service was not good. They seated us and our waitperson came by and we ordered drinks and food at the same time. After that, our waitperson never came back by. Someone else brought the drinks and another person brought the food. It took quite a while to get get our drinks and then a long wait for a burger-20 minutes. No one came by to ask how our food was. Our waitperson showed back up to get the credit card. It was not overly busy, they seemed like they weren’t prepared-they ran out of silverware rolled in napkins and it was only 6:00. The person working the hardest was bringing out food to everyone and then bussing the tables. This person was in overdrive and doing a damn good job. The rest, not so much. It was very loud and that was a definite detractor.

    Really great meal! Meal was ready quite quickly as well. I’d say it definitely was quite busy when we went , so service was a little slower than hoped for, but we were not in a rush so it wasn’t a huge deal, and when we did need something it was usually brought to us within a reasonable time frame!

    Seated immediately, waited much longer than necessary to put in our order (but luckily I had a snack in my bag for my hungry kiddo). Once we ordered, food was timely and super delicious, we had everything we needed, and staff was attentive. Table was cleared but then we waited kind of a long time again for waitress to ask if we were ready for the check.

    We were off on a side room where people were constantly walking through. Even a dog. It looks to be a lobby for apartments/condos. Bc we were off in a separate room, apparently our waitress forgets about her patrons. The other waiter was going back and forth constantly and tending to his tables. We got the mussels w one sliver of bread. It was only toasted on one side. We requested more toast. We got two more slices (both bigger than the sliver they gave us) and both were toasted on both sides. They charged us $4 for the two slices. IMO, the mussels should have come with the two slices we were charged $4 for. The steak bites were cooked well but not all that flavorful. I love horseradish but that hardly had any flavor as well.

    Server didn’t even acknowledge us until more than 20 minutes after being seated. Food was just ok. Burgers were all well-done even though ordered rare to medium rare. Everything took so long we missed the beginning of the hockey game even though we were seated an hour and a half before. When we first tried to place our food order, server said she would have to come back. Another 15 minutes before we got to order. Group of 6 and we all agreed we won’t be back.     Would not come back here for Easter. Thought it was going to be Easter buffet. Menu had 5 choices breakfast, hamburger, sandwich, and don’t remember the others. Boring Easter menu. Food was awful. Scrambled eggs cold, toast cold and hard. Restaurant was not busy. Awful awful awful.

    I had the meatloaf and it was yummy - highly recommend. Our serving person, Meghan, was outstanding. I like Herbies bar area; you can see nice views from all the windows, there are high top tables and chairs and the main bar is like in the center - all of which make for a fun atmosphere.

    Great atmosphere. Didn’t care much for our reserved table placement as it was literally in a doorway and was cramped. As if they placed the table there only to have another table shoved into a tight location. Ill advised placement, better off not having a table there at all. Even empty, the table looks way out of place. However, it did not factor into our enjoyment of the place. Very nice staff and the food was great!

    The service was fantastic. Shelby was so friendly and attentive. My walleye cakes and salad was awesome. My only complaint was the risotto. My daughter ordered it and there was nothing on her plate. It looked like 1/4 cup Risotto and she said it didn’t taste good. Shelby was very accommodating and let her change her order.

    A very packed house with the opening of a Broadway musical nearby. Lots of good service, but the table we were assigned was less than desirable. It made our 1.5 hours very noticeable and tedious. Food took a little while to get to use (just fish cakes and salad) and the soup was inedible (sorry curry vegetable soup, but you tasted like gravy with a shaved carrot or two, bleh). Drinks were prompt and refills were always ready. Smiles all around as each staff member was more than happy to serve. Nice room...just a bit claustrophobic for two.

    The meal could not have been better. We started with a few starters that were brought out almost as quickly as we ordered them. The brussels sprouts were a table favorite. The server could not have been more attentive and appeared just as I started to have a thought of needing a refill with what I anticipated. Overall, a wonderful experience. Every entrée on the table was enjoyed but a favorite was the walleye cake. Absolutely delicious.

    Megan was amazing! Polite, attentive, made sure everything was what we expected and what it should be for the price and for our first time. We had a great time. Good food, we sat in the dining area before the hockey tourney and we'll be back!
