   Celebrating two special occasions and poor experience really detracted from our celebration. They totally forgot our appetizers. Totally forgot our fifth meal. I told my guests to go ahead and start. My meal Arrived about 10 minutes later. Very awkward. Tried to make up by discounting a drink and desert. But damage was done. I don’t think the staff really had a handle on anything last night.

   We usually eat here before going to the Ordway, but tonight was very very disappointing. Slow service, incorrect orders, entrées missing ingredients, very poor experience. I have canceled my reservation for next week as a matter fact.

   They were not appropriately staffed for the number of people they seated before an event at the Xcel Center. We waited an hour for 4 salads. The server recognized the issue and took all the food of our bill, so we only paid for drinks. Just be aware if you are going here before a big event at the X, allow plenty of time and bring your patience. I'd like to go back and try some other items on their menu, but not on an event night.

   Hadn’t been to Herbies since it was reinvented ; ) The meal was very tasty (cauliflower app, pork chops and blue cheese burger w side salad); the Old Fashioned was perfect! Our Only concern was general service and delivery of meal were slow. Our server and her team were friendly and attentive; apologizing for the delays. The venue was packed pre-concert, so we are sure the kitchen was overwhelmed. We will come back.

   We were celebrating our son’s high school graduation and our experience was fantastic! Everyone was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful time, and we look forward to being back soon!!

    A handy place to go for good food before an Ordway performance---just steps away from the Ordway and the Civic center parking ramp. It's the handiest place for sure! Service was great despite being busy, and while it's not Meritage, the food was more than adequate! NOTE: during the hockey season, make suer you make reservations way in advance if there's a home game!

    The food was terrible and overpriced, raw and bland Swedish meatballs, spicy fried cauliflower that was cold in the middle indicating it was frozen.

    Met a friend for dinner before the opera. This was our first time dining at Herbie’s. Burgers were delicious. The menu looks like there is something for everyone. Patio looks welcoming. Sevice was attentive and prompt. We would go back for future pre-opera meals.

    Everything I have always loved about Herbie's was there: booth near the fireplace, high-ceiling ambience, excellent food/beverage/wait staff, proximity to the Ordway and parking. It was going to be the perfect place for 4 senior citizens to get a bite before SILENT MOVIES and chamber music next door. BUT what we didn't know in advance: it was also a historic night for pre-game patrons getting ready for the big hockey game, also next door. Herbie's was absolutely packed, and the noise of happy and excited fans made our conversation virtually impossible. Of course, we'll be back, with new admiration for how well staff could carry on at absolutely peak capacity.

    Logan was an excellent server. We loved that the noise level was low. Great menu for Mother’s Day. Wonderful atmosphere and experience. I had the pulled pork Benedict and it was delicious!

    Herbie's is a great location for pregame gatherings before Wild games. They were VERY busy before the first playoff game. The appetizers and food we got was very good. One meal (a salad) never arrived and a server spilled lot of ketchup on one of our party (his review would not be good). To their great credit, they delivered a free drink to the person who didn't get his salad and comp'd our appetizers. All in all, a fairly good effort on a very busy night.

    Fortunately we had a pre-game reservation at 6:00 pm. This is a busy place. Herbie's has excellent burgers and a chicken and swiss melt that was excellent. Gluten free buns are available if requested but the pretzel bun was perfect. The servers were very nice and attentive. We received our food and ate in time to make it to the Wild Game next door.

    Food was alright, pricey for what you get. Service was not great. We ordered apps and they must have forgotten about our apps, because our entrees came out first. We notified a server we did not receive apps yet, it appears our server did not put in our app order. Server never even acknowledged her mistake, which whatever--that's fine. Apps were comped, but ehhh, just an off-putting experience with the service.

    Quality of cocktails was ho-hum. Just okay. Expected better from a venue this caliber. Food was good, but not great - some things under-seasoned or under-salted. Overall value not great. Just okay - have been to Herbies in the past and good early impressions, but not for past couple of years. Likely won’t return - too many better quality options IMO for the money. That said, the service was very good.

    Enjoyed an appetizer and a couple of sandwiches before a WILD game. Food was very tasty. We had Queso Fries that were wonderful. My chicken sandwich was missing the Bacon that was supposed to be on it but it was flavorful and tender. Waitress was not very attentive or we would have ordered another beverage had she checked in with us more often. All in all though everything else was great and we will be back again!

    We love Herbie's, have eaten several lunches and dinners there, and we ALWAYS make reservations - as we did for last night before the SPCO concert. Last night Herbie's was overwhelmed with unexpected crowds from an event at the Xcel, with people in groups of up to 20 coming in with NO reservations. Staff dealt with these crowds as best they could, but they did not have enough staff, with people crowded 2 deep around the bar, and only 1 bartender, and service for us at tables was not up to par. For example, it took 20 minutes from the time we ordered our drinks until we got them--due to understaffed bar, and our server did alert us as to why the delay. I want to commend both Holly, the hostess, and Alyssa, our server; both of them were smiling, considerate, and handled the stress of unexpected crowds and understaffing with grace and composure. Alyssa very good care of us (as best she could given the crowds) and we offer many kudos to her!
