Henry's Tavern - Denver
The food was really terrible. No one at our table liked what they got.
I have yet to be disappointed in Henry's. Food has been consistently excellent, and servers attentive. They have a great list of beer on tap, and a large list of rotating seasonal drafts also.
Very very very noisy. Food was good, but bar was out of lemonade and sparkling water- supposedly blaming a festival which had ended 5 days earlier. They obviously didn’t make an extra order and just waited for their regular order. Waiter forgot crackers when asked until 3rd time. Probably will go somewhere else next time but again food was good
Good food, very large portions. Service was great. Good choice of college football games to watch (need to get pac 12 network). We will definitely be back soon!
Fabulous service and fantastic food with amazing presentation!
Everything was superb except the booth tables. They are so high that they practically come up to your chin....reduces the comfort and relaxation level before, during and after the meal.
The food was good and portions were huge. Kid friendly. Great location and a lively atmosphere.
We had a good lunch with a lot of selection but it was pretty standard tavern food. The mixed drinks were inconsistent (different color on each order).
Table maintenance could improve and music volume could be lowered a bit. Overall we were very impressed with the food and beverages quality, price, and ambiance.
The food and service were great. I had the salmon tacos. Great flavor! The place was packed every night we were in Denver so you know they are doing something right. The prices were also reasonable.
Hostess was ridiculously rude. Didnt honor my open table reservation and said they were too busy. No apology or explanation.
If you only have a night or two in Denver, this is a great place to eat. Menu has quite a variety of offerings (Asian, burgers, salads, tacos and more). And a great beer selection. Service was very good an reasonably priced for a downtown
Very diverse menu with great food! Our party of four got orange chicken, salmon, bison sliders, and Philly cheesesteak. Great atmosphere.
Food was average.
Great experience at Henry's 16th Street Tavern! I had a large party for a business dinner and the service was seamless, the atmosphere was relaxing yet high-energy, and the food can't be beat! The Margherita pizza was so fresh and flavorful, the salads were crisp and had such a variety and the burgers are amazing! I really enjoyed the Beyond Burger! I highly recommend Henry's!
Overall experience was wonderful. In my opinion, They ruined the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It tasted like they poured their cheddar soup over the good meat and peppers in the sandwich.
Food and service were ok. Nothing to get excited about.
Food was not good, overcooked and dry, one order was late being brought out.
The hostess was incredibly rude when I arrived for my reservation she said it was a half hour later than it actually was. Even after I showed her the confirmation she said whatever something must be wrong in the computer. The food was very salty, and when we ordered beer, there was a good two fingers worth missing from the glass. Poor value overall.
Waited ten minutes after seated and had to call over another waiter. She got our drinks. Had to ask to more times to get our waiter over to order. Forgot some of our food. The meal was terrible. Would not recommend this place to my friends period.
Great food and wonderful service, I'll definitely go here again!
Friendly, open environment with great food and a terrific beer list. We came at a busy time with a party of 8 and they took it in stride. Cost was reasonable and service was friendly and fast. A great experience.
Good was great, Staff was amazing. Portions are generous and shareable. Mixed drinks were soooooo good. Unfortunately, noise level makes it hard to hear anyone less than 2 ft from you. Not a rowdy place, something to do with the acoustics.
Fabulous food and surroundings. Will most definitely be returning.
Great for after work place to meet friends! Wide variety of beer and terrific, unique food.
Good variety of food & tap beer choices at a reasonable price.
We took the light rail from Arvada, and walked to Henry’s. It was a nice leisurely walk. (There is also a free shuttle)
We tried a couple of their recommendations along with calamari and jalapeño appetizer. Waitstaff was very attentive and courteous. We’ll be back!
Kyle was amazing. Drinks and food delivered promptly. All was amazing.
Not bad, nothing special, but I would be happy to go back for a quick bite. Service was very friendly.
We arrived 15 minutes late and were told that we were a no show. The restaurant was nearly empty, so we asked if we could still be seated. Hostess was clearly worn out. The place was super loud, with multiple sports on.
We ordered drinks immediately. While delivering our drinks, the waiter said if we wanted food the kitchen was closing and we’d need to order NOW. He was ready to go hone!! The spinach dip wasn’t hot, but I didn’t dare say anything. I’d mentioned in the reservation that it was a special occasion, but there was no mention of it.
The overall experience was below average. Very surprised it got such a good resting?
very loud and echoing - hard to hear people 2 chairs away.
Food was good! Service was too
Large space, good server, but the food was just basic, not really good, overpriced bar food. There are much better places for the same price on the same street . The server was very good , but I wouldnt go back.
We came before a show at the Paramount. Our server seemed very nervous and rushed, but was friendly enough. We were a little disappointed to find out that happy hour was only in the bar (told after we were sat). The food was fine overall. There are a lot of options nearby, but we would still try here again and sit in the bar.
They couldn’t find our reservation . We waited 40 minutes after ordered- then got the managers attention to where our food was. The appetizer was a shrimp cocktail with 6 shrimp & sauce still took 40 minutes. They did take care of the appetizer & drinks tho. If in a hurry don’t go. Or unless just looking for drinks.
We liked Henry's, but our reservation placed on OpenTable could not be found. Fortunately we were still able to get seated right away.
Do not order the Mongolian beef. It is heavily battered and fried to the point there is no meat left in it.
Henry's has a diverse menu with the usual sports bar type items but some good options beyond those. The had fried oysters which came on a bed of French fries and were fantastic, especially with the sauces. I don't remember having better fried oysters. The Reuben sandwich also was one of the best. Great rye, the right amount of kraut and sauce, and simply fantastic corned beef. Fries were an 8 out of 10, but that's still pretty good. The Asian chicken bowl was very large although I thought a tad boring. The spicy hot sauce on the side was great but be careful because it will make your ears spin.
Drink orders to our table were a little slow but the bar was busy and we weren't in a hurry. The waiter was very good as were the rest of the staff. Ambiance is good and the restaurant is clean and well kept. Prices are fair considering the location and portions; the food itself justified the prices.
I look forward to going back and trying some other things. I could easily have the oysters and maybe the calamari with a dinner salad and be happy as a clam. (Sorry) It would be hard not to order the Reuben again. Maybe we'll hit a Happy Hour and do that menu since we like sitting at the bar anyway.
All in all, my favorite place on the 16th Street Mall.
Really poor service. No attention from waiter. Food was not what we ordered.
Would definitely return. Good service and delicious food. A bit on the loud side, but that is to be expected from a bar and grill type restaurant. Love the giant pretzel with different dipping sauces! Recommend.
