   We celebrated our Anniversary at Henry’s & it was wonderful experience. This is a hidden gem inside the Red Hawk Casino which deserves a visit even if you are not interested in the casino. Tucked away on the lower level the richly appointed dining room will draw you in. The warm colors, dark wood & leather booths give it a clubby feel while the open kitchen keeps it contemporary. We began with cocktails & delicious warm bread while we shared a wedge salad. This salad was artfully presented & topped with what tasted more like sweet smoky bacon nuggets than “bits.” My husband ordered the short rib. Braised in red wine with a red wine reduction, it was incredibly tender & robust. I had the prime rib, also tender & prepared to my liking. Our server, Jake was professional and attentive without being intrusive. His recommendations were spot on. I love that at Henry’s your server brings your entrees out on cart and they don’t use the food expediter model. Your waiter is your waiter from beginning to end. The wine list is more than adequate & includes excellent suggestions at all price points. Give Henry’s a try & you won’t be disappointed.

   The three of us enjoyed our dinner from our arrival to the departure. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the ambience was perfect. We had drinks, dinner and dessert and we felt the food was outstanding.

   As usual the prime rib and sides were outstanding. This was the second time we had Nick as our waiter and he has given exceptional service both times. We will be back.

   The food was delicious. I highly recommend the sirloin w/ mushrooms and a baked potato! I think the server could’ve been more attentive as we had to ask her for bread twice and she wouldn’t split our $400 check. Water wasn’t refreshed more than once but we definitely enjoyed the wine we chose, a yummy Barbera that was well priced. We’ll be back because of the food and hopefully the service will be better next time.

   Second time eating here. First time was great. This time my sirloin steak was not tender and was very chewy/grossly so I sent it back as I knew I wouldn’t eat it. Second steak I ordered as medium & it was definitely rare. So it was sent back again. Third time was good but I ate it after my husband finished his meal. The manager asked how our meal was and I said just waiting to eat it still. She said she’d discount it for inconvenience which I appreciated. We got our check & she had discounted our bill a whole $8.00!!! Not so happy with this visit after raving about the first visit:(

    We went to celebrate the Anniversary of our first date, 25 years ago. We were met by a very sweet, bubbly hostess and seated within minutes. Our server Gabrielle was wonderful! She was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines and food items. We really loved her!! Now for our dinner… we started with their calamari. Oh my gosh!!! The best we have ever tasted! And we’ve had it everywhere for years. I had the pleasure of enjoying the scallops.. absolutely incredible! My husband ordered the filet and lobster, which he thoroughly enjoyed! Everything, including their vegetable sides are rich and yummy! We were even lucky enough to be given a decadent slice of cheesecake for a present, that we took with us… just too full to enjoy it there. This is definitely a special restaurant, for special occasions…We will be coming back and hoping to have Gabrielle for our server again! Thank you Henry’s for a beautiful evening!!!

    The food was excellent. I had the garlic butter, ribeye steak, and my husband had the Seabass. I was very pleased with the blue cheese salad, wedge, much much better than the last time. We had the side of mushroom medley and my husband had a baked potato and the mushroom soup. We enjoyed all of it the finale was the desert was a little concerned about fennel ice cream, but it was delicious.

    Absolutely the best rib-eye steak I had. Always have the butter and garlic rib-eye steak everytime I eat there which is usually once a month. Had their buffet one Friday night and wished I had eaten at Henry's for the price their buffet costs on Friday. It's a lobster and crab feast but I am not a big fan of lobster and allergic to crab so it's not for me but people I were with wanted to try it. Next time they can go to the buffet and I'll go have the rib-eye at Henry's.

    Henry's is still one of the best restaurants in the Sacramento area. It's been a tough couple of years since Covid restrictions imposed by Newsom closed the place for more than a year during 2020-21. Now the open days and hours are fewer and shorter, and the Assistant Servers are absent, but the fine service and food are still of the highest quality. We enjoyed our perfectly cooked filet mignons and New York steak dinners, baked potatoes, tempura asparagus, and wonderful sweet desserts. If you're looking for a really special place for celebrations of any kind, like an anniversary or birthday, you can't do better than Henry's Steak House. It's a classic experience that deserves to be supported, and perhaps when the new hotel opens is will become as busy as it used to be in the "good old days" pre- February 2020.

    We felt rushed. Server didn't even come close to getting our order correct. My steak was over cooked. Server didn't know how to serve wine. But the food overall was good. The wedge salad was excellent. Recommendation, do not go on a weekend night. The Casino was packed. Elevators were over crowed, but I think this only only temporary due to the new APEX opening.

    My wife and I went to Henry's for dinner for an early Valentine's Day. We both had a green salad which was very good and I had surf and turf while she had filet mignon. We shared a serving of the asparagus and that was really good. My steak was cooked to perfection as was hers and the baked potato was excellent. We have been to Henry's numerous times over the past years and the service is always top notch as it was this time. We both highly recommend Henry's steakhouse for that special occasion or just for a really good dinner.

    Jana took wonderful care of me and my husband. He had the seasonal fish Branzino and it was superb. I had the ribeye they did not serve it with the bone but it was delicious.

    The starter bread is a loaf that you cańt share as it just flattens and falls apart - at least give each dinner a loaf. Salad was excellent. Meat was mostly fat. Asparagus is was excellent. The serves was ok -they may have been under staffed. Cheese cake was excellent.

    Henry's at Red hawk Casino in Shingle Springs, Ca. is wonderful. I had the garlic rib eye steak and it was perfect. The French onion soup I ordered was the best I've ever had, and I order it a lot wherever I go if it is on the menu. The service and ambience are great. I really recommend Henry's for a fine dinner and service.

    This is our favorite steakhouse east of Folsom. We have been coming to Henry's for several years now. The food and service are always top rate. We've never been disappointed. The steaks are always cooked exactly as ordered, and the cuts are quite nice. The French Onion soup is also superb, along with the wedge salad. This last visit was the busiest we have ever seen the restaurant. However we were seated immediately with our reservation, and there was no problem with service at all despite the full house. We look forward to returning.

    Their fish of the day was sea bass which use to be a regular menu item. It was served with coconut forbidden rice which complimented the meal. I hope to see it more often.

    Food was absolutely amazing! Drinks were great as well. Service was definitely lacking and our server just seemed very lacadaisy about everything. Menu knowledge wasn’t the best and there was never any recommendation or specials told to us. Also never took away dirty dishes or boxed our dinner leftovers for us. Also was my birthday and nothing was said or done about it while I watched another server take care of a birthday at her table. Even the host wished me a happy birthday and the busser even asked if we were celebrating. On the fence if we would go back for the amount of money we spent.

    Birthday dinner for my husband and it was a wonderful experience. This wasn’t out first dinner at Henry’s but it’s been about 3 years since the last. We asked our wonderful waiter to go slow as we just wanted to enjoy the evening and the dining experience and he handled it perfectly. No rush, helped us choose appetizer and wine. Everything was perfect and the food was excellent. We had such an enjoyable and special evening. Couldn’t have been better!

    Steaks were excellent. Baked potato was large and delicious. My wife had a White and I enjoyed a Red wine, a good compliment to the meal. For dessert we ordered the Cheesecake with drizzle and fruit. All in all, one of the better steak dinners we have enjoyed in a while.
