Brilliant atmosphere. Staff were really friendly and kept the kitchen open for us as we were running late. Live band was brilliant. We definitely felt like we had a nice Irish experience
The food and service were excellent and it’s a gorgeous bar. I enjoyed the live music but sometimes it was just a tad loud for a Sunday afternoon which meant it was hard to converse while dining.
Very disappointed in the lack of food suitable for coaelics. My mum wanted to leave but settled instead for chicken n potatoes n veg.I think this shud be addressed. My food was good and was happy but it put a dampner on the lunch overall.
Absolutely great evening - food was amazing and staff were lovely!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends
Had a lovely Meal, great service only let down by the temperature. It is very draughty
Lovely bar with great atmosphere - didnt stay long enough for the music but have been before and entertainment is always good!!
Great food and great service.
Couldn’t fault anything about it.
We come home two times a year and have always had lovely meals in and around Belfast, this was not good my chicken was very dry and tasted burnt. My wife had pie but the base of the pastry was like rock. We have had food here before and it was lovely. I will say the staff were lovely and very apologetic and offered alternatives and did take the cost of my meal off the bill.
Great food and fab surroundings. Couldn’t fault will def be back
Great food and service. Atmosphere is noisier than we thought, can’t really talk over a meal if that’s what you are looking for. Music is good though if that’s what you want, very lively and plenty of people about. I would say better for drinks than a quiet meal
Food was lovely and good service.
Really lovely meal and very enjoyable evening with a few friends. Service, food and ambience were perfect. Will definitely book again.
It was a great restaurant with a live singer. The food was fantastic, we had the local bread starter. My husband had the roasted chicken, which was delicious, juicy, and flavorful. The Goliath burger was nothing less than the name. It was a Goliath. It was delicious to match as well as the fries. Great place to eat!
Food was so so good. Great space.
Biggest let down are the staff. Dont seem very happy to help or even to be there. Not very attentive and kind of feel disorganised.
We went for dinner at 730 and felt more like a bar than restaurant. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The musicians called Fairly Local were excellent.
Really enjoyed everything about this place food delicious service great will be back!
Having moved to Belfast in November 2018 I have used both Henry’s and Jail house. Great food and value as well a decent beer.
Luv the big screen football and fact that when you book a table it’s always ready and available.... fantastic atmosphere in the evening with live music 10/10
Great pub/restaurant off a little side alley close to city hall. Comfortable, cozy furnishings, nice menu, great food, great service. We were on a land tour of Ireland and in Belfast for the day. Wanting some local Irish fare for lunch between tour stops, used OpenTable to find this great pub. We throughly enjoyed the food, the service and the ambience. Would definitely return if through Belfast again in the future.
A lovely location for a meal on our first night in Belfast - the city centre was quiet but then we entered Joy's Entry off one of the main shopping streets and felt like we'd arrived! Great vibe, live music giving us the authentic feel and sense of location. Service issues probably because they seemed a little bit understaffed.
Great place, great service, great food, great entertainment.
Lovely food at Henry's.. Had friends staying so decided to take them to Henry's and they loved it. Fish batter was lovely and light, the Goats Cheese went down a treat and the Steak Ciabatta was devine. Will definitely be back again
No problems Great evening with fine food entertaining music and great ambience
Lovely surroundings and staff. To be honest it was noisy due to a rugby match on TV, so am unsure if there are always matches shown each Sat. Food v nice but was a little on the cool side, but would not put me off returning as was very well presented and flavoursome.
Very lovely spot. Just redone, so it seems to be trying a bit to appear aged. Still the effect is achieved, the food quite nice and reasonably priced, and staff friendly and helpful.
Was recommended to chose Henry's because of the food & ambience. My party & I were not disappointed
We enjoyed some good food & then chose to use the bar area for the rest of the evening where there was a DJ . This was exactly what we were looking for & did not disappoint in terms of atmosphere, music & service. Would certainly go again
loved our wee night, got free cupcakes & drinks to celebrate the 1st birthday which was a lovely gesture
the waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations, returned quickly & apologise that 1 item wasn't available and we were happy to change. good time allowed at the table before the next booking. a really enjoyable experience, lovely helpful & friendly staff. Well done Henry's
Booked a table for 6 people at 8.30 on a saturday night, and because the people at our table on the previous sitting decided to stay on we where forced to squeeze into a corner on the far side of the bar were they had to ask people having a drink to you sticks and move. Not even an apology offered
Fish and chips were lovely and the live music was good.
The food tasted amazing and the portions were generous. The place was clean and comfortable, and the live music was good albeit maybe a little too loud to allow conversation. When ordering, two of the things we initially requested were out of stock which was disappointing, but what we choose instead was good regardless.
Waited 20 minutes to be served, stater was dry and plain, main was adequate although not much of it and desert had a fruit stalk embedded in the cream even though it had no fruit in it as we were eating chocolate cake. Used to love McCrackens - the food was always fantastic. Sad to see this place go downhill. Birthday meal a washout you could say. Jailhouse is quite nice for a drink though and wines are good value.
Was a lovely meal in a lovely spot, only thing is that it would have been nice to be told before we booked that it would be closing for a private function, as we weren't given the opportunity for deserts then. Great for the waistline though. Lol
We had a lovely meal here in Fathers day. Love the atmosphere in here. They do the best fish and chips. Although I'm not do fussed in dessert..but personal preference. Staff are fabulous, very attentive and so friendly. Have been before for lunch and will definitely be back again!
This was my first time in for food. It was amazing from start to finish staff were great and entertainment was fab
The atmosphere was great, food and service in a very satisfactory level. The only thing it was the noise, even though the musician was really good, for Sunday lunch time, where there were not too many people in the restaurant-bar, it was very loud making it so hard to enjoy a conversation.
Really enjoy. Live music a bit loud but that’s just as I’m a bit old😊. Service brilliant and fab big screen. Food super.
A superb atmosphere. Great service.
Acoustic guitar set followed by skilled traditional musicians. Good mix of people, locals and visitors. Food is great value.
Definitely have to book a table don't leave it to chance.
Excellent food and service. The ambience was perfect, along with an impressive selection of drinks on offer. Highly recommend.
Lovely meal, attentive staff and enjoyable music, thank you!
I went on Saturday night with a friend and the meal was awful. I had red thai chicken curry and it was dreadful. My friend had chicken taglettile and it was dreadful. Then the alarm went off some idiot set of deliberately. The waiter told us we were lucky because the kitchen had to close because of the alarm. We booked the table for 7.30 and was told kitchen closes at 8. Never again.
Happy to recommend but feel the dining experience could be better managed. Having dining tables double up as bar tables meant having to wait on people being moved and asking a number of staff to get seated. That said the food was very good, well cooked, flavoursome and good value. Henrys as a bar is very nice, modern and well staffed. A personal preference would be for greater choice in beers.
All in all a nice meal and happy to recommend for casual dining.
