My wife and I both said the quality of the food was nothing exceptional and was extremely overpriced. This restaurant is more of a typical hotel restaurant and not a specialty restaurant as advertised and cannot compete with most restaurants in Charleston.

Great food and excellent cocktails. Appetizer list was tremendous and steak frites were better than in France.

We were spending the Thanksgiving Holiday at the Dewberry Hotel and dined at Henrietta's for our holiday meal. The food, service, Thanksgiving menu and atmosphere were spectacular. Each course was superb. The desserts were delicious. Service quite attentive and our every need fulfilled. We also had several other meals at Henrietta's with the same degree of outstanding service and scrumptious cuisine. We also ate from the bar menu and had drinks at the Living Room Bar on three occasions during our stay that was also excellent. The bar had a great selection of wines, spirits, beers and food to fit the most finicky of palates. All were great in our opinion and tastes. The Dewberry Hotel is a Five Star Hotel!!! Their fantastic service, staff, chef's & management, food & beverage menu, atmosphere, accommodations and cleanliness proved during our stay that the rating is well deserved. We highly recommend the Dewberry Hotel and its restaurants Henrietta's and The Living Room...The Dewberry Hotel is definitely a Five Star Hotel!!

Our thanksgiving meal here was very tasty! The service was lacking however - many tables who were seated after us where served their meal first. This was particularly challenging as we were with our three year old and our four month old.

The tables for 2 are quite narrow and everything becomes very crowded. Most places have tables 4-6" wider and it makes a significant difference in the experience.

Unfortunately, the food ranged from acceptable to good. The service was slow & the server was not attentive. There are so many restaurant choices in Charleston now; Henrietta’s is not striving to be a top-notch go-to choice.

We chose Henrietta's because we were going to a show after located just a couple of blocks away. We were the first diners so we got our food and were out of there with plenty of time to park and make the show. Too much time, as a matter of fact. In my opinion, Henrietta's management should check with the Galliard about advertising pre-dinner shows.

Overall Henrietta’s is the perfect spot for brunch. The menu is somewhat small and the lobster omelette was scare on actual lobster. The other dishes were on point. The service provided by Anwar was outstanding.

Food and service were very good but there was a table that was way too loud discussing their lives and such the other patrons could not talk at tables across the room. Made the entire dinner almost unbearable

Had a great dinner experience for a friend’s birthday with a small group. The restaurant manager was very helpful and accommodating, even letting us arrange to have their chef bake a cake for the birthday to our preferences! Great ambiance, lovely mid-mod hotel, professional wait staff. Would for sure recommend for a special occasion.

Beautiful mid-century modern hotel and restaurant. French brassiere cusine. Very good service. Lighting at night is quite dark making menus difficult to read.

The seating hostesses were pretty rude, however our waitress was great and very attentive. The food was pretty good, though the Bloody Mary I had was the worst I’ve ever had, so if I did come back I would skip that and order the Rose sangria instead, which was much better. Although, for the cost I don’t think I’d return given the attitudes of the hostesses. Unfortunately just left a bad taste in my mouth.

First time to dine at the Dewberry. Simply loved it! Arrived a bit early so sat in the lobby/bar area for a drink. Very comfortable seating and noise level was acceptable making conversation easy. They had a wonderful trio playing which added to the ambiance. Wait staff was very attentive.
I would definitely go back to dine or just stop in to have a cocktail with friends. They serve the best complimentary Carmel popcorn ever!

Great restaurant, romantic and brings the entire French spirit alive! we loved the service and location and look forward to coming back again! We ate the la poule le pot with lobster very good and the 2nd entree was the hanger steak, perfectly seasoned and cooked so well and also we had oysters, which were delicious, and finally we had the cream cheese ice cream, an absolute must!!! Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed the the bar before dinner. Very sophisticated nice spot with a good menu. The music was good a bit loud so that it was difficult to have a conversation. The restaurant has a much less sophisticated feel. It would be good for breakfast. The food and service ( and price) deserve a better atmosphere. Table cloths would help.

The brunch was delicious and it was so nice to dine outside. Very well priced. There was also a Bloody Mary bar and jazz that were delightful in the Living Eoom lounge! Thanks Rudolph! I hope you enjoy your visit to our city - Winston Salem :)

Loads of intriguing options on the menu. It's not often I have a difficult time ordering. I was surprised how many tables were available given how good the food was. They also have an excellent bartender who knows his craft.

This was our second visit to Henrietta's. Our first, lunch, was excellent and we were excited to go back for dinner with friends during Restaurant Week. Unfortunately, our second visit was not comparable with the first. Two ordered from the Restaurant Week menu while two others from the regular menu. None thought their meals to be excellent. Just OK. Not great. The Pig in a Blanket appetizer was smothered in something I could not identify and not good. My scallops smelled a bit fishy but did not taste so. The peanut butter dessert had a very hard bottom layer and I couldn't taste peanut butter. Our service was excellent, however, and valet parking was a plus. If we go back, it will be for lunch again. In the meantime there are much better restaurants to visit in Charleston.

Such a beautiful hotel and restaurant but sadly the food was barely mediocre. Charleston has so many amazing restaurants and delicious food, this place just can't compete. We dined at 6pm on a Tuesday night and were the only diners in the place. FIG would have a waitlist. It's a shame.

We celebrated Labor Day with an overnight trip to Charleston and stayed at the Dewberry for the first time. As we had already walked the Cooper River Bridge earlier in the day, we didn't want to walk anywhere for dinner and decided to try Henrietta's - and we're so glad we did! Fab cocktails to start, and the superb little oysters. The grilled octopus was outstanding, ditto the summer gnocchi; hubby's steak & frites were just like we remembered from trips to Belgium. Met the chef and gave him and the staff enthusiastic thumbs up. Will go back for the lobster bouillabaisse we just didn't get to try this time. Outside patio was perfect place to finish our wine and watch passersby on Meeting Street. A solid A+ rating!

I was disappointed that the fantastic baked Chicken was not on the menu anymore. The "pigs in blanket" were terrible, not a good take on what should have been an easy recreation.

We took the family to celebrate a birthday. The food was frankly better than I had expected; in fact it was delicious and inspired. While the portions were relatively small, we all went away full and satiated. We will return to try items we didn't get to on this first visit.

I live locally in Charleston. There are so many new places popping up in Charleston and we chose to check this one out for a special birthday dinner. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the scallops, they were delightful. The birthday girl enjoyed the lamb bolognese and said it was some of the best ever. First class restaurant. The hotel is very lovely. Can't wait to see the roof top bar that isn't open as of yet!

We had a lovely time at Henrietta's. Wonderfully prepared food and excellent mixology. This hotel restaurant rises above. Friendly service staff eager to please in a French bistro environment. We will definitely return.
Don't miss The Living Room bar on the other side of the lobby from the restaurant which has magnificent mixology with an impeccable clear ice program to compliment the drinks. This is a great area to gather prior to dinner and watch the activity on Marion Square. Charleston is fortunate to have such a great place reborn out of a derelict downtown government building. Bravo Mr. Dewberry!!

I met two girlfriends for drinks and dinner. The bar area in this historic building is beautiful and the white jacketed bartenders make excellent drinks! Once seated, our server David was attentive and accommodating and made great recommendations about our orders. The food was delicious, and we were all very happy with what we had ordered. The vibe is very grown-up, so I would definitely recommend Henrietta's for a civilized night with girlfriends, or when your family comes to visit.

The restaurant is quite eye pleasing and there is an abundance of natural light. There is booth and table seating. The wait staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is really strong and it is my understanding that the chef was new ( I believe he is from the Netherlands and trained, among other places, at restaurant Daniel in NYC). I had the salade Maison followed by the grilled octopus and the ravioli. Everything was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The octopus was sous vide before it was gilled and it was truly memorable. Overall, an outstanding experience and it is now a permanent member of a short list of food destinations in Charleston that I intend to frequent.
