Lovely food. Seafood heavy and we loved it.
Great service. Food was wonderful. Only the Mushroom dish was a miss. Everything else was wonderful. Did I say great service? Worth saying again! Second time there. There will be a third!
Listed anniversary on open table as the occasion and were sat right next to baby in a stroller and a man with a face tattoo. Wish the host would have decided to place in any of the other available tables.
Great and inventive brunch menu!
Great waiter, Stephanie!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
We loved every bite!
Two couples shared several plates. Food was satisfying but not overly heavy. Waitress was very helpful in navigating the menu. Setting is lovely and has a good vibe without being too noisy to visit. We will definately be back.
Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
It was noisy. I wish you had more soft surfaces to absorb the
sound. What about some type of foam sprayed on the ceiling?
Food was spectacular and fun to share. Probably had a dozen dishes.
My favorite was chicken liver pate!
Server was Summer..........explained items well and was always there
when we needed her.
Love the brunch. Have been twice and it's amazing. Great quality ingredients, good value. Everything I've had is so good. Only complaint is that I don't like their coffee. It's very bitter and tastes like the ratio of coffee to water is off; way too much coffee compared to water. And for brunch, coffee is a must.
We had an unfortunate experience. I had been looking forward to checking this place out since it opened. My husband and I decided to go for breakfast. At the start, we went up to the hostess booth and there was no one there. A few minutes later, a hostess showed up and did not apologize for making us wait (not a big deal but just a general courtesy. It was a weird feeling right off the bat). That wouldn't have mattered but the situation got weirder when my husband drank his first cup of water and a waiter came by to refill his glass and my husband simply said, "no thank you" and the guy got slightly animated/angry and exclaimed that ppl will wonder why he didn't fill up his glass and asked why he didn't want more water! My husband had to literally cover the glass with his hand. He just didn't feel like getting more water poured at that minute! The food was just not good. It's as plain as that. It was not special, not worth the money. I had a $13 breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg on it. The goat cheese sauce on it tasted like artichoke dip - which is fine! But was it worth $13? With no sides? No way! We go for breakfast almost every week at a new location in Nashville and this was the worst we have been to. To end our meal, we asked to split the $36 bill and the waitress charged us $34 each! Totaling $68. How she got to that number - we don't know. I complained to a manager. Bottom line - one of these issues wouldn't have been worth mentioning. SEVERAL bad issues equals a very bad time. Very disappointing. It just felt rude, mismanaged, and not worth the money. Sorry to say. I hate writing poor reviews.
Great overal experience. Food and drinks were great. The scallop dish was great and the server Kate was a gem even gave us a great recommendation for a local bar 2 blocks away for a late night drink!
We started with the Field Pea toast which was fabulous. I had the scallops; 4 large ones on a bed of parsnip puree. They were cooked to perfection. My friend had the Red Fish and loved it. We ended with a dessert of Pumpernickel Brownie with Panna Cotta, Dark Cherries and Chocolate Sorbet. It was fantastic! My only wish is that they had more wines by the glass, including some from California.
It was great food! The hostess service was horrible and not accommodating. Overall for the price it is not worth it.
The happy hour specials for oysters and wine were a great value and very tasty. We had the scallops and trout, both delicious. The non seafood lover of the group was also impressed with the lamb sausage dish. The server was extremely knowledgeable on the ingredients and preparation of each dish.
One of the best restaurants in Nashville!
Loved Henrietta Red. The unique name is a good start to a clean feeling dining area that is very simply decorated. The waitress we had was very charming and helpful. I always appreciate it when they take time to answer questions and make suggestions from the menu. They had an oyster special so we took advantage and were blown away! They best oysters I've ever had and they were from Alabama. The 3 sauces with it were awesome too. I'll sometimes order whatever they recommend just because they think it's so great. We ordered several items and shared them all so we could each try the items. I have a massive sweet tooth and always appreciate a restaurant with a good dessert menu and HR's has it. It was reasonably priced for a restaurant of this caliber. Ran $250 for 5 people. A definite must visit locale in Germantown.
Late lunch on a sunny day with a wonderful shrimp salad and great ambiance
We had brunch here while visiting Nashville. This place lives up to the hype! We started w/the monkey bread (highly recommend). All three of the entrees we had were delicious. I can't say enough about this spot - def worth the visit!
Great as always!
Everything was wonderful from the moment we walked in till the moment we walked out. Having a tough time enjoying all our other dinner reservations. Great!
The food tasted as if they were trying to cover up the main ingredient. Once we scraped off the toppings of the lovely baked oyster, caviar, smoked fish it was ok. Let the main ingredient speak! Clearly the alcohol (wine) was waaay over priced. In the end our waitress asked after each serving, “ how was it?” We finally gave up being polite. Maybe we just ordered poorly? Or Philly and New York offers so much more refined eating . Good luck.
We had Kaitlin and she made the experience. She had great recommendations, was attentive but didn’t hover, and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Our meal was the perfect amount and we loved the ambiance. Great experience overall :)
Consistently delicious with friendly, prompt service.
Henrietta Red never lets me down. Very creative menu- I have gone many times and there's always something new and tasty!
Incredible service and very friendly and knowledgeable staff help to guide you through a creative and unique menu. Absolutely an outstanding experience, and one we hope to enjoy again.
Very elevated preparations with every offering. Our best dining experience in Nashville.
I went here with my sisters for our last meal in Nashville. This place is absolutely adorable and the food was mouth-watering good. Our favorites were the biscuit, quiche and mushroom polenta. This was the cheery on top of our sister trip. I highly recommend Henrietta Red.
Dishes were adventurous and delicious. I learned a new white wine that I like (Cava- the happy hour special). We decided to sit at the bar the whole time and phenomenal service from the team behind the bar.
The food was amazing, start to finish. We had oysters, cauliflower steak, scallops, trout. Then desert was the date pudding and banana fluffer.
Not enough wines by the glass. Can’t wait to go again.
The oysters were awesome. Also the blood orange vodka cocktail was fantastic too!
The sunchoke salad and the snapper crudo were incredible. The scallops were good but not great, and the potatoes and acorn squash didn’t blow us away either. Great service and a good wine selection. I wish there was more space in between tables as it was hard not to hear everything our neighbors were talking about.
Everything was incredible. Highly recommend this spot.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. What an incredible evening. The food was fabulous and inventive. The service was outstanding without being suffocating. Fun, upbeat atmosphere but the acoustics are amazing as we could comfortably carry on conversations at our table.
My new favorite restaurant in Nashville!!!!
I have been there twice. I like the trout and the cauliflower steak. Everything is a la carte. I don't think it's worth the cost
We eat out alot I'm Nashvillle, and it's one of the expensive ones
Not impressed with the redfish.
Customer service is good though
Our second visit. In our previous review we compared its quality to that of other haute cuisine places in Nashville (Flyte and Miel). This one meets there quality. A definite experience for the oyster-lover. Service was magnificent. More quiet this time, probably because it was late and the bar crowds had left. Nice decor, modern and very bright. The restaurant is somewhat expensive, particularly if one eats many oysters but prices are likely justified by the quality. Cost is the reason we rate value as very good, rather than outstanding.
Top notch restaurant, we were in from LA and each dish wowed us. Not pretentious, just brilliant food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Wine was just OK.
I have been twice now. The first time I went I enjoyed more. We went later in the evening and they seemed really busy so we were totally not rushed. The food is absolutely excellent. The second time I went I went for an early dinner with my husband. When we get a sitter and are going to spend a decent amount of money it's nice to feel like you have at least an hour and a half or two hours at a nice restaurant. The this felt super rushed. The waitress told us to order at the same time all of the food and that they would pace it coming out. It's mostly like a shared plate deal. Every dish seemed to come out right after the next dish and everything was out and we were done within an hour. Not so great when you get a babysitter and are spending $100 to feel that rushed. The table next to us kept telling her they weren't ready to order and the table on the other side of us asked their server to slow the food down. Maybe just be prepared if you go early to be pacing yourself. Otherwise I think it's a great new restaurant and would recommend it.
Not enough servers. Often sat for long periods on time with empty drinks and not able to order more food. Food was very good.
We had to wait over 15 minutes even after having a reservation for over a week.
