Henrietta Red is closed on Monday.
Every single thing we drank and ate was incredible. The oysters were delicious. The gnocchi was phenomenal. The chocolate and balsamic dessert was a perfect ending. We would definitely go back here!
Every dish was as good as the one before it. At Henrietta Red, this is a great compliment. Delicious!
We are visiting Nashville and Henrietta Red was recommended to us because of the oyster selection. We arrived without any expectations, but were greeted with a overwhelming amount of noise in the bar. It was deafening. We waited forever for our drink order which was meh. When seated at our table the menu that we were given was not the same one on the eatery's website. So we ordered several things. the service was slow and haphazard. Food was okay. Not someplace we will return to.
The wine list, in my opinion, was limited and very few items by the glass. We opted for a Premier Cru Chablis, which was priced fairly for the wine, but we had our first course before we had our wine. The bottle was then kept away from the table, which I understand it was in a bucket, but inconvenient. There was alos nothing by the glass to order as a step down when the bottle was complete. It took a long time and a talk with the floor manager to get the rest of our toast points for the pate. Then things came in a huge rush as they realized we had been sitting for a long time. My daughter had a lactose issue and I felt it was not dealt with the way it could have been and the desert menu was limited by that issue as well. Everyone has an off night - and maybe the kitchen got in the weeds and couldn't turn it around. It was extremely loud and hard to hear even the server at times.
The food was exceptional but the service was abysmal.
Phenomenal food. Everything was good from the cocktails to the oysters.
Our second experience here was disappointing compared to the first specifically because of the rushed/ poorly timed service (not servers fault) and the anxiety inducing loud bass music which made us have to shout at each other across the small table whilst trying to have a conversation. It doesn’t match the vibe of the room or the food. It’s fine to keep the bar area louder but NOT THE DINING ROOM. Please consider changing this! It’s so rare now to be able to find a beautiful restaurant that doesn’t feel like a club. Our service was as stellar as our first visit.
We first dined here early in 2018 and had a standout experience. The food and service were wonderful!
Beautiful spot. Great service, other than a slow delivery on drink. Started with green salad. Bread. Scallops were outstanding. Gnocchi was delicious—very fresh tasting. Wood roasted veggies were the only thing we could have skipped. Chocolate dessert was delicious.
Great food and vibe. Really loved the Crudo, Sweet Corn Polenta and Sea Scallops.
The young hipster who delivers food to your table needs to remove his beanie. REALLY unappetizing when he comes to your table and not very classy for a nice place. Can't believe the manager allows that.
We try to have a nice dinner out a few times a month and this was the best dining experience we've had in the last several months. Definitely one of my new favorite Nashville restaurants. The menu was interesting, varied, and the dishes were substantial enough to be filling. A great experience and we'll be back soon!
Birthday , it was very nice.
Oyster bar was understaffed, they needed help to combat the happy hour. Our server Stephanie stepped up .
We had a great dinner on Friday night. Ate lots of raw and cooked oysters, loved the crudo too! (for the one non-oyster eater) We shared a bunch of stuff, all of which was awesome. Beet salad, tomato salad, fried herring (OUTSTANDING!), Scallops, pork gnocchi and red snapper. None of it dissappointed. The honey tart was also delicious. Service was good. This was our second trip here and we were more impressed this time than the last.
We had a marvelous experience at Henrietta Red, and it has become our new favorite location in Nashville to celebrate life-alerting joys. In this case, the chance to grow our family. The tomato/watermelon salad and chocolate balsamic dessert were two of our favorite dishes from the night... though we loved them all! We cannot recommend it highly enough; make it a point to go, we know you will not be disappointed.
Great drinks and food. Picked this for friend who loves oysters. Crab dip was amazing and scallops were tasty, perfect portions.
Incredible service and the most unique menu I’ve seen in a long time. Alanna was amazing.
Food was simple and not very exciting, nothing wrong but too basic for the price.
The restaurant has a great ambiance.
My waiter had zero personality, didn’t smile once and didn’t help me when I ordered.
The food is amazing. We sat outside because it is too noisy inside.
We really enjoyed Henrietta Red. We were taking our adult daughter out for dinner. The design and feel of the restaurant was beautiful. Although we had several delicious dishes, I would say that this restaurant is really geared towards seafood lovers. The crab dip and the scallops dish were stellar. The cocktails were very imaginative and yummy. We would definitely go back. It also looked like it would be a very good place if you were trying to impress a date.
This is an amazing restaurant. The dishes are meant to be shared. This is a fun way to try several offerings on the menu. The quality is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable.
Everything was amazing
We really enjoyed celebrating a birthday at Henrietta Red. Our waiter was hilarious and personable, and the food was delicious! Environment was casual but still very classy. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and knowledgeable!
Monthly ladies get together
Oysters are incredible and some of the best mussels! Place to go for seafood in Nashville!
Our waitress was AWESOME! She knew the menu, made the recommendations and was spot on!!
Everybody I connected with were awesome. They have an amazing staff and the food was great. Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had here in Nashville. Will I come back here again? Absolutely. This restaurant has an amazing vibe warranting multiple repeat visits. Thanks y’all!
Love love love this place! No complaints from this couple.
We enjoyed brunch so much that we went back for dinner the same night! The food is innovative and delicious. The oysters are perfectly shucked and fresh, the baby butternut squash peeled into ribbons for a stunning salad, the gorgeous tomato and watermelon salad, etc for all fabulous!
Great service and fabulous food. Really enjoyed and will definitely be back.
Pretty atmosphere. Food was not good. Service very slow.
Our server was excellent, as was the food. The scallops were the star.
Started with a lovely glass of Cava at the bar, and then had a fabulous dinner. Our waitress made great suggestions and we truly enjoyed every item that we tried!
Outstanding good and Olivia was the sweetest best server ever❤️
One of the best and most original meals I've had this year, and one that I'll remember. The obviously close attention they pay to ingredients gives their food a massive impact without being so fussy, as is too common in lesser young restaurants who aim for this high level of creativity. When a restaurant leaves you thinking about dishes like beans on toast or fried potatoes days later, they're on to something. Pristine raw seafood is a huge draw as well, and I haven't had better in Nashville. Just about everything would be easily shared, so groups can have a blast here.
All this is complimented by an equally thoughtful but comfortable cocktail menu, and an especially noteworthy natural-leaning wine list that's not doctrinaire or willfully obscure. Hardcore wine devotees will have a hard time not ordering a glass of everything, but the staff is clearly very well trained to effortlessly help those who know little to nothing about wine select something appropriate. It's an airy, convivial place too, one I really didn't want to leave.
Great food. Unique fresh and innovative. We especially liked the chicken liver small plate. Make sure to save room for the chocolate dessert. It was the best I’ve ever had.
We enjoyed the creative and delicious food. Had a little trouble with figuring out how to manage the “shareable “ portions and dietary preferences in our group but left very satisfied.
The Squash salad and Red Snapper were amazing. Also the bread with anchovy butter was wonderful as well.
Great ambience, a beautiful space. Gorgeous. We went for brunch- get the monkey bread and almond hand pie...they were fabulous.
Chicken Livers were superb! Could use more crostini with them. Plates were excellent! Fried shiitake were impeccable. Loved it and we plan on going back before we leave Nashville!
Where's the six-star button? I shared a meal with an out-of-town foodie friend and neither of us could stop exclaiming about how great our meals were. The service was quietly competent, which is exactly what I want when I'm enjoying someplace for the first time.
I made reservations well in advance online; we showed up early and were seated immediately at a table in the middle of the dining room with great light from the huge windows.
We started with cocktails. I got a Negroni that was perfectly balanced, and my friend ordered the 16 Albatross off the custom cocktail menu. Who knew that gin and rum worked so well together? I'd drink that any day of the week.
We shared the woodfired bread with anchovy butter and Pappy's Caviar. Both were fabulous; I could eat that bread and those crackers for days to say nothing of the butter and caviar.
I had the scallops with beet and mizuna and my friend had the meatballs with romesco. The scallops were out of this world. The slight bitterness of the tender mizuna with perfectly-seared scallops was something I didn't know I needed in my life until I was eating it. My friend couldn't have enjoyed her meatballs more.
We rounded out the evening with the chocolate and balsamic dessert (a delicious combo but honestly too rich for my palate by the time I had started to digest everything we'd already eaten) and the honey tart with vinegar apples (one of the best desserts I've ever tried anywhere). I also had a cup of Crema coffee.
We were utterly, miserably full by the time we rolled ourselves onto the street, but it was absolutely worth it. We both put this meal in our top five ever.
Always a delight; tried several new items on the menu, no disappointments. Make your reservation early!
