Oyster bar was excellent! Server was knowledgeable and attentive. Brunch was great. Looking forward to returning for dinner.
Fantastic experience all around! I cannot say enough great things about the service, food and ambiance. This may be my new favorite restaurant in Nashville!!
The food was outstanding from start to finish but it is a bit overpriced due to the small portions. Also, the server kept getting our orders wrong which we found troubling.
I love this restaurant! The service, food and ambience was all great.
Great service. Food was exceptional!
Normally I love this place. However, for Valentine’s Day there was a set menu and I didn’t like much of anything that was served. I was really disappointed.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Our table was in the bar. Loved the atmosphere. Just a little loud for us. It was a prix fixe menu. The service was very attentive but not too much so. It was exactly the kind of service I love. The food was just OK. Not bad, but not great. With tip for two of us the bill was almost $400. So I wouldn’t say it was a good value. I’d probably go back to order off of the menu and see if I feel differently.
Food was way behind the hype, the ambiance really wasn't for me. The server was great which was nice
Wouldn't really suggest going to this "Staple" of Nashville
Flawless from start to finish: service, setting, bar, food, and ambiance.
Some of the best oysters I've had - and that's coming from someone who lived in Boston. The PEI/Savage Blonde was exquisite, with the lemon sauce.
Take advantage of their weekly happy hour and drink specials. They make a mean Old Fashioned. Be aware that only certain drinks are on the happy hour menu each day of the week. The menu is pretty pricey, but for a special occasion (or if you're just well off enough) you couldn't ask for a better choice. Best to get a reservation ahead of time.
The atmosphere is wood and brick industrial, separated bar and restaurant via sliding barn door. Very chic with a southern comfort. Nestled in Germantown, the outdoor atmosphere is likely pretty chill (despite my visit in February). The seating leaves something to be desired, but thats a small potatoes compared to the cheery disposition of the staff. A brick oven sets openly in the front kitchen, and the staff are young - gives me hope for the future of Nashville restaurants.
The food is fresh, well presented, and done in record time. This is a seafood joint, but servings sizes are moderate so the oysters are highly recommended. I also highly suggest the crab salad, an amazing combination of tart and savory flavors that is a great in-between while waiting for the main events. My partner and I had the red snapper and yellow grouper. The snapper had a grilled flavor, well seasoned, with a good balance of tangy and smokey (a little like chicken). The grouper was tender, juicy, and flaky..the sauce was impeccable - no complaints in the slightest.
Overall, a great find and well worth the pretty penny if you want to shoot the moon for a night, Henriette Red is a top-table seafood restaurant.
Lovely oyster highly recommend with the beet salad
We thoroughly enjoyed the food at Henrietta Red. The oysters are a must, and the almond sundae was amazing. Plates are fairly small and are meant to share. Service was impeccable. Good for a special occasion as it is pricey.
We enjoyed our visit. At 1 pm many of the dishes had sold out which was disappointing. We really liked the scallops crudo, though for the price the appetizer was very small. The crab cake was excellent and was a good sized meal. The mimosas were tasty, but again, for the price they were quite small.
Great brunch at Henrietta Red. Wonderful, creative cocktails and delicious entrees. The breakfast sandwich was delicious!
Absolutely love this restaurant for its food, its ambiance, and its fabulous staff. The food was absolutely amazing. We shared the mushroom polenta which was rich and divine and another delicious breakfast recommended by our lovely server Ted. He gave us great suggestions and went above and beyond to be kind and welcoming. I already loved this beautiful restaurant, but Ted made me fall in love with it all over again. I’ve been there countless times and will definitely be back countless more!
Great oyster selection and really fun food! Kate our server is a pro. Cool, airy space. Our overall favorite from our 4 day F&W trip to Nashville!
Had a delicious Saturday brunch that satisfied a carnivore and 2 vegetarians. Reservation was at 1:15, we were seated at 1, restaurant closes at 2: they were already sold out of 2 mains, which was a disappointment. Everything we had was fresh, tasty and imaginative.
Fantastic oysters, could’ve done another entire selection of them they were amazing. Small plates and main courses were great but the oysters and the desserts outshined everything!
Inspired menu, culinary perfection and a great wine list. Love it.
Great for a date. Warm, comfortable and clean. Great servers, fun menu. Shareable plates always a bonus!
Most unique, most surprising and best meal I ever remember. And we eat out a LOT. Foodies, we are. Broccoli toast?!?!?! HOW did you do that? Even the most anti-broccoli hater would like it I think. Lamb shank... we cut with a fork it was so tender. And the Red Butter lettuce salad was, no joke, a salad I would eat daily IF ONLY I LIVED IN NASHVILLE! We came for the music, but when we come back we will always eat at Henrietta Red!
If I lived in Nashville I would be in HR weekly. Their raw bar is spectacular. The freshest most delicious oysters and a red snapper crudo that made me want to cry. Our helper was adorable and wildly helpful. Her name is Madeline and her hair is purple. Trust her with your food life.
The sailor knot doughnut and breakfast sandwich are both outstanding for brunch!
We were told our table wasn’t ready when we arrived 30 minutes early which was okay and we happily hung out in the bar and then after 45 minutes I went to the hostess desk to inquire I was told our table had the check and they hadn’t paid yet. 10 minutes later they finally came for us and when we went into the dining room half the tables were empty. Then our waitress who seems to have a vey high opinion of herself as a wine geek told my wife, when she asked if there were Chardonnay’s available that the restaurant tries to avoid oaky Chardonnay because it doesn’t fit with their vision. The meal and evening went downhill from there....
We had a reservation for a birthday dinner. When we arrived the hostess said our table was still finishing up but they would seat us as quickly as possible. So we waited at the bar and had Jell-O shots and some cocktails. The Jell-O shots are really good and fun for a special occasion. The table before us took some time finishing up, but they brought us chips and dip as an apology. Service and good were wonderful as always.
Great choice for a special meal with wife after a business conference. Great, fresh food. Large selection from raw bar and professional staff
My experience there only made me feel like I wish I had tried it sooner. Food was spectacular and service went above and beyond. An innovative and well executed menu in a very nice space in Germantown. Staff worked like a well oiled machine from maintaining the water glass to food expediting. Deserves all of the press and accolades it receives.
The Power Lunch was AMAZING!! Please say it is going to be a regular event! We loved getting to sample inspirations from both Julia and Josh at every course. Absolutely delightful.
A friend and I were in town to attend the Nashville Antiques show and had dinner here based on reviews read on Eater and Thrillest. The restaurant delivers on every level. I highly recommend.
Fantastic experience. Our waiter Jared discussed his favorites for food there and made excellent recommendations. He also went to the trouble of writing down a list of his favorite Thai, lunch, dinner, and late night sandwich dj joints.
The dinner at Henrietta Red was a highlight of our 3 days in Nashville. We had roasted vegetables, braised lamb, and red snapper. They also brought us a complimentary serving of roasted potatoes. Every bite was scrumptious. The dining room is really pleasant. The server was welcoming and helpful. If you are in Nashville, don’t miss Henrietta Red.
Best place for seafood in Nashville bar none
Amazing brunch, I’m already going back two weeks later!
Perfection! Food and service was excellent!
Nice place. Small portions. Server suggested 4-5 items off the menu for a table of two. Food and service was great. Would have liked it a little more quiet and intimate. Oysters were amazing.
This restaurant was a highlight of our Nashville trip. Such amazing and delicious food. Wine selection was superb and our waiter was fantastic
It was so much fun and the food and drinks were great!
Amazing food! Lovely setting! Friendly and attentive service!
