Henrietta Red is closed on Monday.
Loved the ambiance, service and oh....those oysters!
Everything we had was very good and dishes were really creative! We had the beet salad, Brussel sprouts, gnocchi, fried Herring (a little too salty for our taste but we should have expected it to be), tiramisu, choc cake and tea and Sunday cookie.
Went for brunch. The monkey bread was delicious. We also tried a few oysters, which were also good and very fresh. I ordered the baked egg entree. I was disappointed when the egg didn’t come out runny like it was supposed to be, but it was still good. Good service and atmosphere.
We had another wonderful dinner at Henrietta Red. It's decadent comfort food in a beautiful space. It's the kind of food where every once and a while, you'll take a bite that makes you remember a feeling you didn't realize you had forgotten. It's the reason you come to a restaurant like this, to eat impeccably prepared food that is at once familiar and new. It's stirring in a way that is difficult to describe. I'll be thinking about the Butterscotch Pot de Creme -- a dish my mother used to make us when we were kids -- for a long, long time. We had a wonderful waitress, and a wonderful evening.
Often mentioned among the best restaurants in Nashville for all of the right reasons. I love the fish/veg forward menu that changes seasonally.
Oysters very fresh and tasty. Good quality bread-anchovy butter did not have much punch though. Chicken liver sort of an odd dish-not much liver flavor and burnt honey lent an unnecessary sweetness. Scallops perfectly cooked. Server(s) prompt/friendly. Attractive dining room. Parking can be a challenge.
Always the best on all levels!!
Had heard multiple friends rave about this place so finally had an opportunity to check it out on a double date. I guess my expectations were just so high, but the food was underwhelming. Good, not great. Trendy decor, friendly waitstaff was slow/busy as is to be expected on a Friday night. Surprisingly cheap happy hour helped as did the creativity and presentation of the dishes, but the flavors were all subpar. Disappointed, may give it another shot but considering how often restaurants are opening in town it’ll be a while.
Everything we ordered (5 of us) was very good and the service was excellent. However, it was too noisy to carry on a conversation with anyone on the table not seated right next to you (we were there from 7 pm on a Thursday).
Best oysters in town!
Loved loved loved the roasted oysters! And the service was fantastic. Will be returning again soon.
Outstanding as always. Thanks so much to Allue and everyone for making our anniversary memorable
We were visiting from Atlanta and Henrietta’s was recommended by several locals as the best brunch place in town. We had high expectations and still loved it. My egg dish and Bloody Mary were excellent, the service was perfect and all of the details—linens, flowers, tiles—were lovely. It was a treat!
Best meal! Best cocktail!
Fabulous food. Fun atmosphere
These guys always deliver a fantastic experience. Menu is always interesting and progressive, service is always excellent, and we always leave satisfied. Neither one of us are vegan but we’re always amazed by the vegan desserts.
I don’t generally eat this Wells hen I eat alone and the service was outstanding.
Julia Sullivan does not disappoint. Guaranteed she’s one of the most underrated chefs in Nashville. Our meal was phenomenal from the raw bar to small plates and entrees and desserts. Highly recommend!
Food was delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Service was underwhelming. We had to keep asking for drinks and water.
Just an excellent experience!
Tasty creative vegetarian options.
Wonderful place to take a group.
We had brunch at HR this week. We were seated promptly, Mitch was our server and he was great. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The food was just perfect. Overall a really nice lunch experience with great service and great food. One of my favorite brunch spots in Nashville.
While this review is for our brunch meal, HR is also a great spot for dinner.
HR is amazing . Chef Julia has an incredible imagination. We had a group of six and we had 8 dishes and shared them in a Tapas fashion. All were incredible. Unless you are a Steak & Potatoes only kind of person, this is not to be missed. There is a great collection of fresh oysters.
The venue is very attractive and located not far from downtown. The food was interesting and well prepared. Truly great southern cooking. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Nashville.
Great from beginning to end! 🙌🏼
We had a delightful dinner -excellent food, gracious service, beautiful setting.
The Monkey Bread at lunch is a MUST for the table!
Met relatively high expectations for food and service. One of the top choices for fine dining in Nashville, and certainly the best seafood choice.
The problem with high expectations is that you are more likely to be disappointed. Such was the case here. The braised lamb and polenta was overwhelmed by the olive tapenade...... that was disappointing. the squash toast ( I guess that avocado was last years fad) was flavorful and maybe the best thing we had. Finally, the credo was just okay ( though fresh). Had we walked in off the street, rather than from a row week old rezzie, I think the rating might have been slightly higher across the board
Excellent food & service. We loved the staff. They were so welcoming and friendly.
I was really disappointed with this visit. I had been before and loved everything. I had the scallops before and they were large and delicious. I loved the sauce. This time I had the same dish and it wasn't warm. The scallops were tiny and overdone. The other dish was not very flavorful either. My friend however loved his sausage dish. I will not be returning.
Delicious, beautifully prepared food. Everything was terrific, though the wood fired oysters and red snapper probably stood out the most. Service was fine but not the same level of outstanding as the food.
I took a close friend to Henrietta Red for her birthday. The food and service were wonderful. The beet salad, gnocchi and scallops were so flavorful! We will definitely be back!
It was fabulous!! I can’t wait to go back
Fabulous! One of Nashville’s best. Top notch in every aspect. One of our favorite brunches ever. Delicious, high quality food expertly prepared by a chef who definitely knows what they’re doing. Excellent, attentive service. Not our first visit & surely will not be our last.
No need to go into details. This restaurant is delightful in everyway. A must.
What a wonderful brunch spot! The service and decor were delightful... the food was oh so yummy!! All 5 of us loved the food we ordered.
We shared beautiful oysters followed by the beet salad and mackerel toast. All were outstanding! My only issue was the sauces for the oysters were obviously used at another table before coming to ours. Needless to say a bit surprising in a restaurant of this caliber. We shared 4 entrees with the table. The snapper, scallops, sausage, and lamb were all wonderful.
