Perfect spot for anniversary dinner
Hi - this is the 3rd dinner we've had at your restaurant, and all have been excellent. One complaint this time: the oysters we ordered arrived well after several of the other dishes, even though we'd ordered them up front before the rest of the order. I've never really thought of this before, but having them come first allows the delicate flavors of the oysters to shine - in this case, they were masked by the flavors of the previous dishes served. Otherwise, another great meal, and we'll be sure to come back.
Wonderful Easter brunch. Can’t wait to return soon
Love the food and drinks at Henrietta Red! This was our first time for brunch here and it was great - the oysters, cocktails, and carrot cake were some highlights!
In town for the weekend and took my boyfriend here for his birthday!
Nothing exciting. Staff good but a bit arrogant. Food pairing was fine but not spectacular. Will not return.
It was our first time dining at Henrietta Red; we were celebrating a birthday. The food was great, we ordered broccoli toast, crab salad and oysters. The only thing I would not order again is the crab salad, it was delicious but it is not a lettuce type salad which I was hoping for, it was more of a layered salad with layers of mashed avocado and creamy layer and then sprinkled with a small amount of cabbage type green and a very small amount of crab. The restaurant serves family style and everything is for sharing but not super sized portions. We loved the portion size and were completely satisfied with the three dishes; however we had two desserts which were out of this world. The pecorino ice cream dish & almond sundae. You want to try these!
It is an open restaurant so the noise level was a bit high but we could still have conversation. We will be back!
Outstanding food and service. Fresh and creative options. Simply superb overall.
Over priced (which I normally never say) trying to hard with too many different tastes. Dressing over powered taste in Crab salad could not taste the crab. Red wine by the glass was opened too long - maybe no one else ordered for some days. The Cava was very good and would highly recommend. Oysters were fresh and good sauces. Soft shell Crab was a 3 out of 5 ( rated from East coast taste). Nice touch with birthday desert.
Henrietta Red came highly recommended to us on our weekend trip to Nashville. We made a reservation for brunch but weren’t seated for 30 minutes after our allotted time. This was only the beginning of the issues! First of all, the hostess did not apologize for the delay in being seated and only kept staring at us to make sure we didn’t look mad. When we were finally seated, we ordered some apps immediately since we were starving, only to be told they ran out. If we were seated at our reservation time, we would have had the food! The waitress apologized and offered some other apps on the house which we said we would be happy with bread. This also took 25 min to be delivered - for some toast! Then we finally ordered mains and after we put our order in, we were told they were out of crab cakes. Meanwhile we see crab cakes leaving the pass and being delivered to tables who sat down after us - again this could have been solved with better service and being seated at the right time. We then order the alternate burger and it comes basically rare, just seated. By that time the member of my party who was served the raw burger did not want to send it back because we know it would have taken a long time to be reserved and we just wanted to get out of there. I know some of these things can’t be fixed, but we had a reservation for a reason. And to top it off, we were still charged for the bread we got when we were told it would be on the house! It was just one thing after the other and we wanted to get out of there! Other than that- the rest of us enjoyed our food but definitely not worth the hype!
One of the most beautiful restaurant spaces I've been in. I really just wanted to move in to this clean, bright, open calming space. Gorgeous bar. The food and service were excellent. Just a lovely brunch while visiting from NY and enjoyed wandering the Germantown neighborhood.
Great food. Excellent service. It's become one of our favorite regular restaurants
We went to brunch on a Saturday morning here and everything was wonderful. It was our first time coming so weren't quite sure what to expect. We were seated quickly (even though we accidentally arrived very early for our reservation), the server was friendly and funny, the menu had great items - so much so we had a hard time deciding, and the food came out very quickly. Would 100% come here again, would bring my friends, my family, any visitors that came into town.
Oysters were amazing! Cocktails were so fun and unique. Every entry was delicious!
Food was very different and good. But some dishes were skimpy. The shrimp puffs had almost no shrimp in them. Server was nice and knowledgeable but kept hurrying us.
I love this restaurant and always recommend it. We always enjoy the fresh, creative dishes and the friendly staff at the oyster bar. I was so looking forward to dinner after our bar happy hour. How disappointing when we were seated in the dining room and our male server (Gordon on receipt) brought one of the entrees first and everything else we ordered a minute later all at once?!?
We specifically ordered the appetizer as an appetizer, but he delivered it AFTER one of our entrees so it was a race to enjoy everything before it got cold? My favorite Broccoli Toast menu item was served on bread, not toast as described on the menu and I’ve enjoyed it many times before.
I don’t relish the idea of “chowing down” at such a fine establishment and I was looking forward to a dining experience that didn’t happen. We arrived when they opened so he wasn’t too busy to time it out properly? Caveat; I guess you should specify “I want the appetizer first?!?” and hopefully you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy the great food?
Everyone was great and food was awesome!
Great cuisine with attention to detail and flavor 😊
The laid back atmosphere is complemented by the impeccable service. The star of the show; however, is the food. The food is fresh and delicious with spectacular sauces and seasoning that don't steal the show from the freshness and flavor of the food. I would highly recommend Henrietta Red to anyone with a desire for superb service and seafood.
Dinner with college friends in town for a reunion. Absolutely EVERYTHING was perfect!
Good experience. Great server. Glad to see that their wine prices have gotten more reasonable. Only quibble is that the red wines are served way too hot, basically above room temperature. This has been an ongoing issue.
First time to Nashville, I sought out a place for our “fancy” night dinner and chose Henrietta Red. Great choice; it’s a beautiful space, the food and beverages were delicious but our server was a total dud. No personality, nothing more than the basic minimum of taking our order and bringing the bill. Made the overall experience a little disappointing despite our great meal.
Fabulous, thoughtful food!
Food was amazing. Our service was friendly, but was a little off. We had to ask twice for water, sparkling water we ordered never came, made a reminder about cocktails, and she broke away during our order to go help another table. We still had a great time, but the service errors were noticeable.
Great food, unique and good. Very entertaining even if you are eating alone.
This is one of the best restaurants we have ever experienced. The food was delicious as we like the small plate/sharing concept. Our server was friendly and very helpful. The wine list is outstanding- not because it has all of the top names. The list has many different options for place of origin and grapes. It was so well thought out. We would make a trip to Nashville today here again!
We had such a wonderful dinner! The food was exquisite and very fairly priced. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in Nashville!
As good as all the rave reviews say it is. Loved every bite, especially the broccoli toast, the roasted oysters and the pavlova.
Amazing food and drink selection. Truly one of the best restaurants in Nashville or even the country.
Excellent food. Fabulous service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely loved it! First time visiting and certainly won't be my last.
Loved this place. The setting was open and inviting. There were 3 of us for brunch and we ordered 4 entrees to share. What a great decision! The quiche, crab cake, kimchi bowl, and broccoli toast were all so yummy! Added a Mimosa and/or Bloody Mary and it was the perfect meal. We will definitely return to sample other menu items.
Enjoyed brunch with an array of innovative offerings.
House cured citrus cured salmon was outstanding, as was the quiche.
Love this restaurant and have had great meals there before. Broccoli toast was to die for, but most of the other dishes didn't quite measure up this time; the grouper was very overcooked and the mushroom steak undercooked.
We had an exceptional brunch. We shared a cinnamon roll to start which was decadent and delicious. You MUST have the quiche - probably the best I've ever had. Likewise with my husband's egg and sausage sandwich. LOVED this place - would love to try it for dinner.
Amazing food...best in Nashville. Welcoming, accommodating owners and staff...homey feel. Beautiful space. We’ve been coming to Nashville from New York for years and there’s nothing like Henrietta Red. Don’t miss it.
Has always been consistently good and with solid service. Menu changes frequently. Raw bar selections are the best in town. Good wine list. You won't be disappointed.
What a fabulous dinner celebrating a friend’s birthday! Everything about the ebbing was perfect.
Wife and I shared several plates and enjoyed some good beers. Overall it’s pretty affordable and you can try a nice variety of foods. The dessert was to die for. Overall a great experience.
Green curry roasted oysters on point. Cocktails on point. Red snapper ON POINT.
