One of the best restaurants in town - always varied and unique dishes - fantastic service
We’ve been to some great restaurants in our time and rate our dinner here as the highlight of the year. The food was flawless wine nicely paired wine. What blew us away though was that after making our reservation on Opentable with some information about dietary restrictions I received a phone asking for more details so that a custom menu could be prepared for our evening. Sure enough as we were seated my wife had a special menu prepared for her. This was above and beyond our expectations. Nothing new was added to the menu but it was nice to know that she could have anything on her menu.
Thanks for making a memorable meal for us.
Came here for the Sunday brunch and the decor is minimal, however completely stunning. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious and creative. We started out with Chili butter roasted oysters followed by the beet salad. The oysters were cooked to perfection and the beet salad have crunchy elements and delicious mix of beets. It leaves you wanting more, which I love. Next, we had the crab cake and the cheeseburger. The crab cake had so much crab meat, it was fantastic and the cheeseburger had pimento cheese and pickle which was a great compliment to the burger. Would come back in a heartbeat and so happy to have a great seafood spot close to home. Will come back again and again!!
Fabulous, sophisticated flavors. Dining room was hot with the midday sun and very loud. I closed the shade on the window by our table but it stayed warm. Server was good and quite attentive except she didn’t offer us dessert so I forgot to try the fennel ice cream I had seen on the menu online. The broccoli toast really is revelatory. Very reasonably priced for such a delicious meal.
Highly recommended by a friend whose son goes to VU. Nice brunch with clean atmosphere, fresh made to order food with friendly service. We don’t eat oysters but appears to be the place if you do! The broccoli toast was amazing and the sweet potato coffee cake was a big hit at our table; we even ordered one to go!
This was the most amazing dining experience of our trip. The variety of small plates just got better and better as we went. The service and atmosphere were wonderful as well.
Sat at the counter and enjoyed conversation with the oyster guy. (Please tell him thanks for the tip about the 5 Spot. I went the next night for two great acts.) Woman who seated me and served wine was exceptionally attentive. Delicious oysters and fish.
Amazing service, so personal! Food was incredible-had crab salad, scallops with a pumpkin purée, yummy oysters from three coasts. Highly recommend!!
We were celebrating a birthday this evening. Everything was spectacular, as always.
Henrietta Red is a fantastic restaurant, delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere, truly an exceptional place to dine.
While the food, wine and ambiance would have been delightful in any case, our waitress Alana was special. Friendly and knowledgeable about everything available, she helped us pick just the right wine and more, and paced everything perfectly. All around outstanding fine dining experience.
We were there two nights in a row. We had almost all things on the menu. The one item that was just so-so is the mussels.
Wine awesome, oysters fantastic, overall one of the best restaurants for overall easy atmosphere and good food. Share it all! The best way to enjoy it.
The Lang Ravi was way too salty FYI.
Loved the broccoli toast.
From the moment you walk in, you know this is a special place! First view of the oyster bar and then the open kitchen area. The food is beautifully prepared and served. Raw bar and cooked dishes are all outstanding.
Always amazing. Always a must have restaurant when we visit from NYC. Food, service, atmosphere and overall vibe beyond amazing. ❤️
Everything about it was amazing!
We enjoyed dining at Henrietta Red! The food was fresh, inventive, seasonal and tasty!
Food was really good. Service is terrible. Some were finished eating before others had their meals. When asked they said they have staggered serving.
Service was impeccable and will dine again soon. Love that it’s woman owned.
Lovely ambiance. Oysters were amazing. Fried anchovies were off, and this is coming from a lover of anchovies.
The food is excellent. The room is noisy. We had to raise our voices to have a conversation.
First visit very satisfied
We had a delicious vegan meal! i’m so glad to know if this place is there when I need to accommodate people with different diets. Service was great and food was remarkable. Looking forward to making my way back soon.
Wait staff very knowledgeable and helpful - great cocktails. Every plate better than the one before!
Fabulous food with dynamic flavor profiles. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Left feeling satisfied and not overly full. All in all it was a great experience. Thank you
Excellent seafood! Oysters, Grouper, Snapper and Scallops were wonderful and perfectly prepared.
This is an outstanding restaurant that deserves all the great reviews & accolades it is receiving. We could confidently dine there again and again knowing the quality of experience would be just as wonderful each time. It is that kind of place.
Food service decor great. Had brunch everything was delicious.
Delicious food and bright welcoming ambiance.
Tastes were off for nearly every dish. Felt like design flaws. Both the anchovy butter and the papardelle had slight petroleum tastes. The corn fritter was absolutly tasteless and soggy. The sausage was more like a German wurst, rather than the ususal Italian style, and that should have been noted on the menu
As an overall note, the food tasted sour.
Finally, the wine prices were far too expensive for a casual restaurant, only one choice (of over 30) under $50.
Another small plate restaurant but very good and high quality. Unfortunately, the service was lacking and our server forgot that we ordered two dishes meant to be our main course. After reminding her, she only put in the order for one. Once it finally came ( the lamb ragout pasta) it was delicious.
The owner did come over and apologized, and promised that the restaurant can and will do better. Because of her interaction with us, I would go back and would highly recommend.
Great food served with distinction. A world class dining experience to be sure.
We came to Nashville with a check list - one of which was to get a reservation at Henrietta Red! The food was amazing 😋 The drinks were well crafted! We enjoyed our meal and the restaurant is very inviting!
Thanks from the Pennsylvania gals !!
My friends and I had a fantastic meal at Henrietta Red. The food was excellent and our server, Gordon, was attentive and very helpful with our meal selections. However, Alexa, the hostess was very nice, but we thought she could have been A bit more accommodating. When we called to push our 5:30pm reservation 30 minutes later, Alexa informed us that the restaurant was fully booked and she was unable to accommodate our request. When we arrived promptly at 5:30pm, virtually every table in the restaurant was empty. Further, we she showed us to our table it was the first table situated in the dining room where every guest following us would have to walk by. When we requested a less intrusive table Alexa nicely showed us to a better seating area. Disappointingly, we did notice that many tables remained empty until 6:30 or so. We proceeded to have a fantastic meal and will return again. While these annoyances may be slight, we all agreed that a restaurant of Henrietta Red’s caliber should have been more accommodating to meet our needs and should have been able to seat us 30 minutes later as requested and certainly should have avoided the cliche’ of offering us one of the less desirable tables in an empty restaurant. Hopefully, this review will provide ownership the ability to correct these issues in the future.
From the moment you see the entrance to Henrietta Red to the moment you leave the restaurant, you will feel nothing but delight.
It is a terrific dining experience and so fun! The food and wine selections are simply delicious.
We were so impressed by the wine selections- some we had never heard of, but were absolutely fantastic.
The wait staff is warm and incredibly professional and helpful.
One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville!
Skeptical about landlocked Nashville & seafood, this restaurant did not disappoint. Food & service were excellent. The oysters in particular were amazing!
One of the best meals we've had in Nashville this year. Everything was delicious--the flavors were fresh and complex and perfectly-executed. We particularly enjoyed the Grouper and the Shrimp Escabeche, but truly everything was fantastic. Highly encourage folks to order multiple items and share so you don't miss out on the deliciousness!
Excellent ambiance, cool vibe, a little noisy with all the tile but not too bad. Small portions but if you get enough dishes it all adds up to a very tasty meal experience with classy presentation. 2 people, 4 drinks, half order oysters and 3 other small-to-medium plates, $128 before tip.
We shared eleven different appetizers, entree's, and desserts. Each was unique and delicious. The drinks were excellent. Inexpensive parking lot catty corner to the door. It may become my favorite restaurant in Nashville
