The restaurant itself is very well arranged - nice bar area and an al fresco terrace. Service was good during the meal, but a shame the staff were packing things away by 9.30 and when diners were still there having their meals. Food wise, it was mediocre. Tuna carpaccio was tasteless; duck breast was tough; sea bass was not hot. Cheeses were ok. Expensive for the overall quality.

We go regularly to Henri Brasserie, mainly for its beautiful interior, nice ambiance and good food. While the food selection is not excessive, it’s very tasty. We had sea bass which was excellent, and duck , which this time was a bit hard. As for the appetizer the salmon tartar is very good (even a bit small), shrimp cocktail has good size shrimps. The service is excellent and especially the hostess by the front desk is very attentive.

Belle et imposante salle à manger où l’on se sent bien. Cuisine raffinée et large choix de vins. Malheureusement le service s’avéra déplorable. Ainsi, lorsque l’on commande trois coupes de Champagne, on tente de vous laisser la bouteille et on vous facture le Champagne normal au prix du rosé. Le vin commandé n’était plus disponible. On nous apporte une autre bouteille, certes excellente, mais sans explications ni excuses. Enfin, la personne en charge de notre table fut peu disponible mais prompte à forcer la commande. Dommage pour une telle institution.

Nous avons fêté notre 25e anniversaire de mariage et se fût en tout point une soirée mémorable. Non seulement la nourriture était exquise, mais le personnel admirable et attentif au moindre détail.

Amazing Cuisine and Staff This restaurant should be on your list if you are visiting Montreal. You can dine in the Hotel Restaurant or on the Patio. The restaurant’s interior is elegant and intimate creating the perfect backdrop for a fabulous dining experience. The quality of the food and service is superb. The cuisine is creative and delicious and is served by professional and attentive staff. They have creative cocktails and a great selection of wines. Upon being seated, our server Alexandra let us know what type of oysters they were serving that day. We appreciated her suggestions. The oysters from PEI were so fresh and expertly prepared and presented. For our main we both had the Niçoise Salad. The Tuna was so fresh it melted in your mouth. Besides the inspired dishes , there is another plus and that is the staff. Alexandra our server helped to make our dining experience a very memorable one; her attentive service and helpful suggestions were appreciated From the food to the staff this is one restaurant not to be missed.
