Excellent service et nourriture copieuse et goûteuse

The waiter just seemed to be having an off night. Otherwise everything else was exceptional. Incredible food, in a beautiful setting, on a gorgeous night. A great way to spend our wedding anniversary.

I actually made a reservation online for my cousin and her friend who live in Montreal. They were celebrating a special occasion. I phoned the brasserie to buy them champagne. The person who answered the phone said she didn't know if they could do that (!) but would have the manager phone me back in "ten minutes". No one ever phoned back. In my view, that shows incompetence and dreadful customer service, especially when the restaurant/hotel builds itself as a 5 star.

Good food, nice ambience but service was poor and slow. I ordered my dessert right at the beginning and at the end I wasn’t able to have one because they were none left (very disappointing). My wife and I choose this restaurant and Hotel Birks to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary.

The service was not there which didn’t add to the experience. Plats were served 1hr 15 min into sitting down. It was a late dinner and we were very hungry. Water was not refilled during the service. It was our first dinner as a married couple - I noted that in the reservation but I think they were just too busy to notice.

The food was great and it was second only to the impeccable service and the awe inspiring architectural decor. A beautiful find in any day and age.

Le lieu est très beau, aéré, bien éclairé de fenêtres tout au long de la façade avec un plafond joliment orné. Le service est très professionnel mais non guindé, chaleureux sans être trop familier. Nous avons eu droit à trois belles variétés d'huîtres en entrée pour deux d'entre nous, l'autre convive a opté pour la soupe du jour, une crème de champignons fort joliment présentée et bien réussie. En plat principal, encore là nous étions deux à choisir le tartare d'omble chevalier accompagné de frites et de salade, un plat très satisfaisant. La troisième personne a opté pour la morue poêlée qu'elle a bien appréciée. Le café était excellent.

Food is on the rise, more refined and better than last year

How can a chef transform turnips into such a marvelous delicacy ? Only at Henri such miracle can happen. The best French Brasserie in Montréal right now, by far !

Lobster salad , drinks and service was very good. Our only disappointment was filet mignon which was chewy. We substituted it with foie gras and it was delicious!

Un magnifique lunch d'anniversaire. Tout était parfait. Les huîtres, le plat de filet mignon (un bijou), les tartares... Et que dire des desserts !!!! Une panna cotta au chocolat et un gâteau au fromage incroyable ! De purs délices. Je tiens à dire que les desserts sont toujours tellement beaux et tellement bons au Henri Brasserie française. Un service comme toujours impeccable et très attentionné et un choix de vins au verre en parfait accord avec les plats. Je tiens à les remercier de m'avoir gentiment offert le dessert pour mon anniversaire. Ce restaurant est l'un de mes grands coups de coeur. Et nous y reviendrons souvent ! Encore merci à Henri B.

Service not bad but not perfect, the valet wasn’t there when we parked and the servers brought the bread after the food lol

Avant tout, je tiens à mettre en avant la disponibilité, la gentillesse et la modestie du Chef, en plus de ses compétences, bien sûr.
L'accueil était bon. Le service très bon. La facture, pas mal.
Les deux petites remarques que je pourrais faire sont :
Le fait de n'avoir pas pu y aller a l'heure de la réservation a cause de... services (18:30 et 20:30)
Le fait qu'il manquait une entree (celle que je voulais), alors qu'elle était dans la carte.

Excellent repas dans un magnifique décor. Service très aimable, empressé mais sans nous bousculer.

Un plaisir pour les papilles avec un service irréprochable merci pour ce beau moment gastronomique

Like usually we ate well and the ambiance is just like I like quiet with a lot of light.
The service was a little slow and poring water wasn’t so often.
Unfortunately we could stay on terrasse because of the construction noise.
I really line this restaurant we always enjoy our time.
I wish that sometimes they offer gluten free bread that would be amazing!!

It is one of the most beautiful restaurant in Montreal. Very wuiet even when full, very good service in general. This time two little problems with th service. The catch of the day was a “Fletan au beurre” served with vegetables. Nice looking plate except that my guest being kocher there were not informed that there was some bacon with the nicely done vegetable julienne and they had to send back their plate because of this important mistake. They asked also the fish with no butter but it was dry and overcooked. May be the chef should know that and suggest clients to take domething else. On my side i ordered a lamb shoulder. It was petfect.
I think that the food is excellent but the service can be highly improved.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner. We had a great time and the food was amazing!

This family lunch for 6 was a special occasion following a funeral.
However, appetizers started appearing when we were still enjoying our cocktails. Had to mention to the staff to slow down, overall impression was that the staff wanted to finish their shift ASAP.
Food was good but not excellent as experienced during 2 past visits.
Additionally, charging 5$ for a tea bag is really pushing it!
We love this space and have another reservation in a few weeks with friends and hope this was just bad timing...

We had a very great night at Henri Brasserie Française. Especially thanks for chef and Sara, very caring and let us had a unforgettable night. We were treated meticulously.
The food was fantastic, my fiance was especially grateful to the chef for his vegetarian meals, I was grateful to the perfect Beef Filet Mignon and amazing Tartare d’omble chevalier, not to mention delicious desserts and veggie cocktail. I am an artist and I would love to make a drawing for the beautiful night!
Thanks to all the staff of the restaurant for a wonderful night.
