We had a great experience at Henley! We couldn't decide so we ordered a lot of different things to share and it was all delicious! One of us was vegetarian and they were VERY accommodating with modifications to make the experience yummy for us all. We will keep this on our list of go-to places!
Our group of four ordered family style and tried a number of dishes. Our favorites were the Charred Broccoli salad, the mac and cheese and the ribeye steak. Our food was excellent! The wait staff was very attentive and provided great insight on different dishes to try. They even went out of their way to make the night special for our son who was celebrating a birthday. We will definitely be back!
Decent food, excellent service. Nice music. Drinks were short on liquor and expensive. Food was warm, not hot. Great music.
Unbelievable food, slow service but we were not in a hurry. Burnt broccoli and ribs were phenomenal.
Really awesome ambiance and decor. The food was good, but for the price point and a place at that level, nothing special. All and all a good experience, just not worth the money.
Service was stellar and it’s a beautiful spot. Food was so-so. We had the chicken and dumplings, duck breast and pork chili hand pies. We had the warm apple confauti (sp?) for dessert and it was the best out of any of the dishes. (Really great, actually!) the rest of the dishes were probably a 5 on a scale of 10- nothing to write home about.
Overall, we enjoyed our visit with Henley as the atmosphere and vibe were fun and laid back. The food was solid, though the ribs were extremely fatty, with not as much meat as we would have liked. The hushpuppies with the mousse, were very good as were the meat pies. Finally, the apple dessert (true name eludes me) which was akin to a cobbler and a crisp, served ala mode, was excellent. We will be back for another visit!
Excellent food and service!
I came to Nashville for vacation with my gf. We ate at about a dozen retaraunts while we were there; this was the most memorable meal of the entire trip.
We had the prime rib and I'm still dreaming about it. Our waiter was intuitive, informative, and so so friendly.
You should eat here, 100%, I have no hesitations about recommending Henley.
We were in town from Dallas for a conference and I was my husbands birthday. When we arrived there was literally one other occupied table. The hostess takes us to the table right next to the kitchen ?? It was smelly. Loud and I had enough when I heard the kitchen speaking loudly saying F***. We were tryin to have a nice dinner together. I got up and walked up to the hostess and asked to be moved and didn’t appreciate our first seating next to the kitchen when the entire restaurant was available??? Why??? She graciously moved us. The food was delicious. I mean delicious. Our waitress was knowledgeable and made things right when my husbands pork ribs came out with a lot of fat. They went their inventory and remade some meatier ribs. Again delicious. And done right. A whimsical man came by and asked how our meal was going, no idea who he was. We ended our meal with a chocolate soufflé. Perfection. So the visit started rocky with the seating selection made by hostess...and the fatty ribs. But this venue knows service recovery and we ended the evening feeling good about our dinner choice while in Nashville as there are 100-s of places to choose from.
The food was great and so was the service! As a plus, the decor was interesting & beautiful with nice lighting - so unlike many new restaurants in Nashville which all look the same. We went for an early Valentines Day and it was perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing Sunday brunch. The food was so good-we had the corned beef hash and the Dutch baby. Service was great too. Very attentive and friendly. I also want to hire their interior decorator to redo my house because 😍😍😍😍
The food at Henley was amazing. Our server Debbie made great recommendations for us, most of which we followed to great success. The beef tartar was phenomenal.
I noted in my open table reservation that my boyfriend and i were celebrating his birthday, and when dessert was brought out, a candle was attached - great, personal touch.
My only critique of this place was that their drink service left a lot to be desired. There was a 20 minutes gap between sitting down at our table and receiving our first drink , which i found very irritating, but hoped was a fluke. When we ordered our second drinks, however, the same wait time occurred, which reduced what could have been an exquisite dining experience to a “just alright” one. I feel like food is ok to have to wait for, but drinks are not.
The Manhattan's and Manhattan Bar are amazing. Ambiance was also great. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We went to Henley for our Anniversary. We had the best experience our waiter was knowledgeable about all the foods and pairing. The food was incredible!! We had the roasted duck and pork ribs. We plan on coming back regularly!
Excellent atmosphere. Live guitar music accompanied our brunch. Our meal was delicious and the service attentive. There were too many choices; I would definitely return!
Loved the staff. The food was exquisite, but the menu didn’t do the actual dish justice. More descriptors would be helpful.
Another wonderful experience at The Henley! Staff was so attentive and knowledgeable; Food was amazingly delicious; great atmosphere as usual! Will definitely be back again!
Truffle pasta was amazing!! Onion dip was good but stay away from the apple clafoutis... crunchy apples and puff pastry... not clafoutis:( luckily the espresso martini I had made up it... nice ambiance and bar
Excellent atmosphere, great food, great service!
The food was delicious and very unique flavors. Our waiter was wonderful and gave us great tips for food, activities, and bars to explore the rest of the weekend.
It is great that the dining scene in Nashville includes places like Henley. The bar appears to be a vibrant gathering place for folks just ending their work days. The huge horseshoe shaped bar is central with tables and banquets just beyond so the activity at the bar filters into the dining area, providing a backdrop that is more energetic than disruptive. What stands out here is the purposeful menu, limited to a number of special takes on southern fare which elevates, not desecrates them. We loved the tempura squash, hot, crisp, and salty with a soft, delicate interior. The soup was infused with coconut milk which complemented the bacon background. Duck confit hand pies were delicious, soft buttery outer crust and unctuous shredded duck meat inside. The smoked half chicken is “smokey” and also juicy - even the breast. It comes with a burnished bark of crunchy skin and a well dressed kale salad sweetened with sweet potato cubes (?). Could eat a bowl of that. BBQ brisket platter is served with roasted veggies - Bok choy and BBQ - what a mash-up. It is a platter meant for two (or three). Henley succeeds at taking the traditional and twisting slightly without losing the original character. Southern elevated, emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, friendly attentive service, and some great bourbon drinks. Consider this a keeper.
Great service, exceptional food. Would recommend to anyway!
Amazing food. Highly recommend
Incredible food, drinks and service. The chef here has done a phenomenal job creating a menu that is elegant with a little southern flare. Amazing experience!
Excellent food, drink service, and atmosphere. Could not find one thing to complain about!
This place had stellar service . My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary with a trip to Nashville. Henley’s Made it very special. I made a reservation in line and mentioned it was our anniversary and they sat us in a romantic spot and made it very special. The ambiance was very romantic and the drinks were to die for and cuisine was phenomenal. We were both very impressed with Henley’s!!
They really do a great job at Henely. Very friendly and attentive, and the food is great!
So many things on the menu that were different. I get it everyone wants to be earthy and farm to table but let’s be real if I don’t understand the menu I can’t order from it. Definately not my best meal. And way too overpriced for the small amount of food couldn’t get past the vision of worms on my plate
My family and I had the most amazing New Years brunch at Henley This was probably our 5th time there. I’m a huge fan of the burger and the chicken sandwich. My sister and mom both had the southern breakfast and loved the collards, grits, and bacon. We also had deviled eggs, trailer baby crackers, a fruit plate, French toast sticks, and a kale salad to start. So much food. So crazy good. Lovely server also: Danielle.
If you’re counting your berries, or you don’t understand scallops, chicken, or steak, there are a lot of nice pizza joints in the area (AllieC and Cojo). Lol
We liked our New Year's brunch just fine. I do think it is a little ridiculous to charge $12 for a fruit plate that doesn't even have seasonal fruit on it. It was 2 strawberries, 6 blackberries, 10 blueberries and 1/6 of pineapple and cantaloupe.
I had the Southern Breakfast with grits, sausage, eggs, and greens. I really would've preferred it in a bowl, so I could mix it all together better, but each component tasted wonderful. My husband really enjoyed the deviled eggs.
Our server appeared to be a little hungover, as she wasn't really available and extremely quiet. It as New Year's Day, so I'm understanding. I am curious to see how dinner is to decide if I would make it one of my regular stops.
Outstanding New Year's Eve celebration at Henley! There was an unexpected treat of a magician who visited our table. The menu/service did not disappoint. Top of the line meal. Will be back many times!
This was a last-minute brunch reservation and it did not disappoint. It's in a great location, the food was delicious, and the service was great. I will definitely be coming here again.
Food was really good. Ambiance was great. Martini glasses were smaller than I am used to and costs was a little high for the experience.
I had a Christmas Day reservation for 1 and they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. My waiter Shane was awesome at taking care of all my needs or wants. The food was fantastic- not a single complaint here! I had the mushroom hand pies, Brussels sprout salad, and the sweet potato pie. All delicious but the main dish was really the star! Perfectly cooked roast beef with Yorkshire puddings and carrots, sides of peas and mashed potatoes- I may have released a small moan with the beef/pudding combination. When I return to Nashville, Henley will be a must!
Christmas lunch- fabulous in every way!!! Amazing service and meal. Prix fix for this day which I had not anticipated- but hadn’t asked about either. So while we ended up spending more than we expected (6 people- adds up!) I take responsibility because it was a holiday and I should have asked. Will always think of Henley as a favorite!
First old fashioned was very small, second of acceptable size. No cherry, really?
New menu was fine, but safe. Relatively indistinguishable from others. Prefer original.
Waitress was nice but kept asking how “our” dinner was. Small but irritating.
Maitre D was great. Wife lost earring and went to look for it.
excellent 2 times and row!!!staff and food top notch
Great for a foodie with an art deco flair, drinks were crafted with love!
Anniversary weekend so we decided to try some new places. We are foodies to put it mildly. Loved this place! Service was outstanding and our server was helpful as we navigated the menu. The tartar was delish! I had the pasta with White truffles, hubs had the pork chop...OMG. I am dreaming of both. Finished off with the chocolate soufflé (we were all in).
Check out the bourbon selections and the Old Fashion serves with a cookie. Clever and wonderful
