Thanksgiving menu was very small and it was challenging to find something each person actually wanted. They would not substitute or accommodate for switching a different side with the chosen protein. Everyone ended up getting burgers. The tables around us were dirty when we were seated and they still had not been bussed when we left almost 2 hours later. Hostess and server were friendly. We ordered a meat and cheese board which was a pretty sad excuse for an appetizer. Dessert was the only part of the meal we enjoyed. Overall not terrible but would not recommend.
Absolutely delicious! Loved the atmosphere! Great customer service! Ate at the bar, loved the bartender’s and decided to eat there even though we had a reservation for a table…look forward to coming back next time we are in town!
Great service. Enjoyed the cocktails and the atmosphere.
Our waiter, Brian, was on point. He said they had a new menu, but we weren’t overly impressed by it. Maybe trying a bit too hard at being creative and unique. The pastrami beet salad was one recipe that actually worked. Limited entrees (we tried gnocchi and duck meatloaf) on the menu were OK. Desserts we tried were banana pudding and the blondie sundae. Both were “OK”.
The restaurant is nice! The food is good. However, I ad the avocado toast for brunch, and the food portion was small for the price. The service was awful! The server took 20 minutes to greet our table after being prompted. Following that, he never came to the table unless being prompted.
The food and vibe was good but it was certainly hotel prices with machine made coffee.
Food was not good
A great restaurant for grown-ups - nice atmosphere, very good food, wine list is filled with great values!
Poor service and poor food only good thing was the jazz music
Server was slow and rude. Food was very good.
Great breakfast spot. Very intimate dining experience.
First time trying this restaurant and it’s so delicious, I can’t believe how affordable it was! Our server was great, the food and drinks were great, and the location is perfect if you’re looking to get away from busy Broadway
They were very accommodating for our group of 12 and everyones food was delish!
While the food was good, our waiter put a slight damper on our experience. He was unfriendly and bordered on rude. He was condescending when we asked questions. Probably will not return .
Did they run out of salt? We had the brie that's served with pickled berries, nothing else. It was good, but we ordered some Everything Sorghum Rolls to accompany it. The rolls were nice and fluffy and baked well, however, there wasn't even a hint of Sorghum and the "everything" topping seemed to be missing salt, garlic, pepper... lol. Next we had the barley "risotto". The barley is the risotto. Some of the mushrooms were so tough we couldn't even chew them. And again, this lacked salt and any other discernible flavor. This place missed the mark for sure.
This is a critique of the breakfast service: lukewarm, bordering on rude, at least by Nashville standards of friendliness. The eggs were overcooked and the grits were terrible compared to the grits offered on the scallop n grits dinner menu. There's a sense of desperation or disinterest in the operation of the waitstaff, hard to say...either way it spells trouble if not addressed.
Anyway, dinner was the same vibe, but the food was exponentially better and prepared by someone who actually cared about the culinary experience.
Food and drinks were all very tasty! Would definitely go back.
The ambiance and live jazz music was great. The delayed service and mediocre food, was not.
It was a great! I got the brisket reginetti and it reminded me of a deconstructed lasagna it was delicious. My wife got the scallops and grits and she said the consistency of the grits was perfect and her dish was amazing.
All was very good. Just had some issues with server being a little condescending.
Our group is vegetarian, and/or veggie preferred. We enjoyed several of the chef’s vegetarian dishes - loved them all! The corn chowder, barley risotto, and carrot radish shareable were outstanding!! We had to order a second fried Brie - WOW!! The space is beautifully decorated and our server was great!! Very satisfied and would highly recommend - thank you!!!
I have been to Henley for dinner and it was fantastic, so we decided to try them out for brunch. Unfortunately we did not realize their bartender was not available until later in the day, so they were only serving mimosas and a fairly anticlimactic Bloody Mary. The food was good, but I expected it to be at the same level as our dinner experience, however it slightly missed the mark. The ambience was great of course and the live jazz music was definitely a plus. Overall, I would recommend for dinner but not necessarily for brunch.
The menu is exceptional, the corn chowder with bone marrow was a MASSIVE standout. My hanger steak was cooked to perfection (Med Rare), though this was a petite steak.
We had dinner on Friday night. The server was very attentive and checked on us often enough. We were in the corner of the back room so the accoustics were a bit unpleasent, but nothing deal breaking. I had the crispy pork belly, which was overall very good. My wife had chicken, which was not as enjoyable. The cocktails were decent, and well presented. Overall, I feel the price tag was well beyond the experience.
Everything was great!
Very mediocre and extremely overpriced. I get what they are trying to do with the menu selection, but it just was not it. I had the quail and I did not like it. Also got the fried potatoes appetizer, not very good either. Mac and cheese that my friend got was pretty good though. $75 ticket for two was not worth the (at best) average food and tiny table we were seated at. Also, it was so dark in there.
Great date night restaurant. Fun and different options for dinner!
Amazing culinary experience. From the salad to the mussels everything was exceptional. Will definitely be back!
Loved the live jazz, that was a sweet surprise!
Great food but our waitress was distracted and the host had to assist with our orders. Food and drinks were fantastic
Good food and service was good!
We enjoyed our dinner. The menu seemed a bit limited. My hanger steak was great but couldn’t find anything I liked for dessert.
Breakfast scramble with grits was pretty good. The breakfast burrito had fried pork puff pieces, but they were in a wet burrito so the texture was rubbery and very hard to chew. I know it’s supposed to be upscale, but recommend just putting bacon in the burrito and call it a day. My husband could not eat it. More people would enjoy this without the fried yet wet pork puffs. Would not recommend that dish. The performers and ambiance were great.
We started our visit with a drink at the bar before sitting down to dinner. I ordered a martini and my husband ordered a Manhattan. When my drink arrived the glass was half full. I questioned the bartender and she said, this is how it is served. My husband’s arrived in the same glass slightly fuller. Either the establishment should order new glasses or increase the pour (charge what they need to). This was a big turn off for us.
Amazing and delicious!!
We tried Henley for a Sunday brunch. The prices are fair for the effort they put into each dish. I will say that the portions are a little on the small side so order more than you think you’ll need to be full. The live music was a beautiful addition our brunch, but not overpowering to the point where you cannot hear conversation. Valet was stated as an option, but they have since done away with it so be prepared to park in the parking garage. They do not validate. This would be a great spot to try for pre dinner drinks!
Our server Michael was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond. He made our night!!
Delicious!! We had brunch and I already made another reservation for dinner!
The food was great. Inventive yet approachable. Highly recommend
